I'm new to makeup so I've never noticed if primer has an effect on my look or not, and the beauty flash balm is no exception. That doesn't exclude it from being the greatest thing I've put on my skin. It smells great (sort of like baby powder), it feels incredibly silky and of course, it has the ever-gorgeous Clarins packaging. Is it bad that I just use this as a special-occasion hand moisturiser?

CLARINS Beauty Flash Balm is the ultimate pick-me-up for tired, stressed skin.
CLARINS Beauty Flash Balm helps eliminate signs of fatigue in a flash! Instantly moisturizes, brightens and tightens facial contours so skin looks rested and relaxed. Olive and Witch Hazel extracts help smooth the skin’s surface, diffusing the look of lines and wrinkles. Soothing Bisabolol helps restore skin’s youthful glow. Preps skin for perfect make-up application and hours of luminous wear.
How to apply
Apply morning or evening, after thorough cleansing and toning, apply (without massaging) a very thin layer over the face, neck and eye area. Apply make-up immediately, if desired. Beauty Flash Balm can also be used as a facial mask 2 or 3 times a week.

Reviews
Ignore my past review - must have done this too late at night is muddled this with Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream (that's the one I'm on the fence about!) thanks to the wonderful lady who pointed this out! I like this product in short - although my oily skin I found it broke me out, so have stopped using it.
The tube of Beauty Flash Balm I have is kind of oval rather than round which makes getting most of the product out a lot easier than some tubes. I appreciate the simplicity of the packaging; a white tube with red text. There is nothing gimmicky, I feel like my money is going towards a product rather than a flashy package. When it comes to the product itself, I’m not sold. The cream is a peachy-apricot colour with a light perfumed scent. Although it feels like it would be pretty heavy straight from the tube, it quickly absorbs into the skin and provides a bit of moisture with a subtle glow. I don’t notice anything really different from a moisturiser which is why I don’t think I’d repurchase this product.
Tips: Over top of moisturiser underneath foundation seems to be the best use for me. It adds a little extra moisture and glow without breaking up my foundation.
It was given as a sample size as a free gift as soon as i ran out I went a bought the full size product... Makes my skin look amazing!
I have had this product in my kit for about 4 years. It is the one thing I can rely on to refresh my skin. I love the texture and smell. I often dab it on at the end of the day when my make up needs reviving.
Tips: Use it to give neck and decolletage a youthful plumped up look...a little does go a long way.
I recieved this as a gift, I was really unsure at first what it was... A moisturiser? Primer? Mask? The packaging kind of confused me as it said it Brightens and Tightens but can also be used once or twice a week as a mask for 10-15 minutes.
I have been using this as a moisturiser under my make up. Smells lovely and has a great light non-oily texture, leaves my skin feeling soft and awake, has a freshness about it that I adore in the morning. I would say this is a light moisturiser and would not be quite suitable for really dry skin. I have Oily/combination skin and find this wears well under my makeup without making me look too shiny throughout the day. I have found that sometimes that if you touch the product on your face too much or rub it in too much it begins to ball up on your skin.
This is quite a costly product and am unsure yet if I will buy this product myself. I will continue to use this bottle in the meantime and re-evaluate. I will update this review as I continue to try this Beauty Flash out.
Tips: Do not touch or rub in product too much into the skin
LOVE THIS STUFF! makes my skin feel heavenly, and is perfect as a base to use before you put your makeup on, not sure if it helps to make your makeup last longer but i does make a difference in how your make up goes on and how it feels before its on! it really gives the effect of naturally amazing skin i just love it and i will be devastated when i run out!
Hands down the best moisturiser I have ever used. Made my skin glow! I just only wish it didn't have such a hefty price tag!
Tips: This doesn't have an SPF so I added a lighter moisturiser over the top to protect my skin from the sun.
OOOhhh Love LOVE LOVE this product. I wish I could afford it now that I have a family (all my money goes on them!) but in my hey day - this product was the staple part of my make up bag as it was a great primer before foundation! I look forward to the day that i can buy again and plaster on my face!!
A white squeezable tube red printing packaging is so so wouldn’t get excited about it or the box it comes in.
The cream it’s self is a pale apricot, the fragrance is fresh and creamy pleasant enough but nothing to write home about and it fades pretty quickly.
I use this nearly every day I pop it over my moisturiser as a primer for under my makeup or just as a light blur.
During the day if I need refreshed I pat a small amount on my face over my foundation and powder and I sort of get a wee makeup pick me up. A little glow on.
As a face mask I cleanse then put a reasonable amount on my face and neck (don’t forget your neck, it is seriously the first place to show your age) let it have a good soak for ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse it all off with warm water and a face cloth then follow with moisturiser. In the morning if my skin looks a little tired or I’m a bit off colour this has been a life saver, just to brighten my skin.
Till I did this review I didn’t realise how much I use it, also a tube lasts I’m yet to buy a full size as I always get it with gift with purchase. I’d recommend this, its subtle but it’s good.
Tips: Try it as a skin pick me up in the morning
