MAC Pro Longwear Concealer Review

I really like that Mac has a wide range of colours and undertones so you always find a shade that suits your skin tone. I hate the packaging, the pump always pumps out too much and i feel like i waste quite a lot. I don't like that it's glass because I feel like it'll break really easily. It's good as an eyeshadow primer and doesn't crease on my eyelid but I find that it creases under my eyes. It's a good full coverage concealer, it's thick but doesn't look cakey

I bought this to try as I'd never found a concealer thick enough to cover my undereye circles. What surprised me about this was the consistency of the product. I found it really thick and creamy and a little went a long way. It lasted all day without any creasing. I used the Mac prep and prime and Estée Lauder double wear foundation and all products worked well together to get that flawless finish.

I used it to highlight also and it worked great. Just to add some definition around the Cupid's bow.

Great product, will be repurchasing when I run out!

I use this concealer on blemishes and it's perfect! You only need the smallest amount! However it wasn't so good for my dry under eyes! Unfortunately it sinks into my fine lines. The pump is also very annoying as you cannot control the amount of product that comes out so a lot of product goes to waste if you are just using it on the odd pimple. I think this concealer is also reasonably priced and it lasts for a very long time!

I have heard so many great things about this product and how good the coverage is so I thought I would give it a go because I have dark circles under my eyes and no concealer covers them completely.

First impression was that I hated the packaging, I know a lot of people hate the pump because it wastes product and I am definitely one of the many who hates it.I find that i dont reach for it as much as my other concealers because it takes so long to carefully pump out the smallest bit because with this product a little goes a long way.

As for the actual product, it has great consistency and the coverage is also really good but it still does not cover my dark circles completely, Its just something I have come to embrace I guess. I do like that this concealer blends out really easily and does not crease on me at all.

I purchased my second bottle of this wonderful stuff over 6 months ago and I still have a fair bit left.

I love the pump nozzle, it gives me the right amount of product with zero going to waste, which makes it last a long time. The coverage is amazing and clears up all my imperfections and dark under eye circles.

It is pricey but the quality is well worth every cent, I'll definitely be buying another bottle.

I have tried many concealers looking for a creaseless finish...I think it is still an ongoing search but I do really love the MAC pro longwear.

I have the shade NW15 which is pretty pale and I like a slightly highlighted concealer which is a little lighter than my foundation. This shade is a good shade for what I am after.

As per a million other reviews, I'm not a huge fan of the pump, but if you are super gently you can pump tiny amounts out at a time! Would be so much better if it didn't have the pump though.

The best way I apply to reduce creasing is to apply with my fingertips tapping lightly under my eyes to make sure it has the right coverage and then I damp a beauty blender and dab underneath on top to smooth it out. Once that is done, I powder under my eyes very carefully not to disturb the concealer. This way sheers out the concealer slightly so that there is not TOO much creasing.

The price is pretty decent for the amount of product you get and it is MAC so you have to expect to pay a little more.

I would definitely purchase this again however for us girls out there that are mid 30's we do have to be careful not to apply too much at once otherwise those dreaded creaselines appear! Eek! Compared to others however, this is worth a go!

I have repurchased this product, over and over again. This is one of my go-to concealers... it really ticks all the boxes for me.

PROS: As it states in the description, this is a light weight formula, so it doesn't sit or feel heavy on the skin. It's great for brightening the under eyes whilst providing great coverage, I would agree with medium to full coverage as stated in the description. It's multi purpose - I use this for my under eyes and also find it effective in covering some blemishes/discolorations (but big red pimples, you'll be better with a thicker concealer). This also acts as a fantastic eye primer!!! It's longwearing, this concealer lasts for a decent amount of time, I would say you're sorted for a full day.

CONS: Could possibly not be a great match to someone with dry skin, as it dries matte it may be a little bit drying to their skin? I really can't say for sure as I don't have dry skin but that's the only con I could really think of!

CONCLUSION: This concealer ticks all the boxes for me! It's a great all rounder and worth the money!

This concealer is on the pricier side but worth it in my opinion. It has a good consistency that is easy to blend and build and conceals well. I like that it comes with a pump top, but it meant I struggled to get the last bits of product out of the bottom (apparently you can pop the top off but I couldn't find an easy or safe way to do it), so I felt like I wasted a bit. I typically apply it with a stippling brush, but a beauty blender, or your fingers will work just as well. I can't say it's perfect, even with primer I still find it fades and/or creases over time, but it's still my favourite out of all the concealers I've tried.

I love this concealer, a little goes a LONG way! I was nervous at how small the bottle was but you dont need much, i use my fingers to apply the concealer & it helps heat it up, it has a thick consistency and conceals all my trouble areas. It works great with any foundation not just Mac, its very handy and versatile. It is worth the money and even saving up for this product. I havent found a concealer thats as good as the pro longwear concealer.

OK let me start with .... Positives: It has a medium-full coverage great for under eye circles/darkness or pimples. You get quite a bit of product for your money. A little goes a long way. Convenient sized bottle.

Negatives: The pump is very stiff, so no matter how little you want, it is VERY hard to get less than a full pump at a time (so for me I waste a lot of product). It creases slightly so you need to set it with powder. It doesn't work well over dry skin - shows up the dryness/flakiness. Expensive.
