It's a meh product

I liked the banana powder, I used that one to set my under eye concealer, but you kinda have to be light handed with it because too much and honey you gonna be looking cakey. Now for the contour shades, they are ok. dont use too much because it's gonna be looking muddy

Tips: start with a bit and then built it up!

Difficult to blend and overly pigmented.

However, this isn't for all shades. The banana powder is finely milled and good for the undereye area. The highlighter shade is subtle, but sadly, has chunky bits in it. I use the translucent shade all over my face.

That said, the contour shades are disappointing. Two of the colours are unsuitable; they are either too red or too light. The one shade I can use however, is so pigmented that you only need a tiny dab of the brush. Unfortunately, it is difficult to blend and can look unnatural.

It's an okay product but not one that I will repurchase.

Tips: 1. Use a very light hand for the contour shades.

Australis AC On Tour Kit

Boo I so wanted to love this as I NEED a contouring kit in my life!, so much though that im in the midst of making my own. There was so much hype on facebook, my newfeed was a buzz with "were can I find this", "Ill pay $80" But sadly this just looks muddy on me. I do like the banana powder in it though, but even that seems quite light/faded. I know I sound crazy as its very sought after but Im just a little disapointed thats all. I paid $20inc off facebook, so it didnt break the bank and considering its not an expensive item it does ok. It is in a conveniant sized case thoyugh, which makes things a little better.

Doesn't live up to the hype!

Wouldn't rate in the top contouring kits I've tried but only because this one takes a good amount of blending achieve that beautifully contoured pulled together look. Did find the colours worked well on my skin tone though. And the yellow one I absolutely loved! I'd buy this by itself if I could, as a cheaper alternative to the ben Nye banana powder :)

Tips: I wouldn't recommend this kit to beginners as blending it was hard work! Still think this product was way over rated

Want to love it

I'm new/late to the contour/highlight game and have heard a lot of buzz about this kit. It's easy to find at the shops and reasonably priced.

I want to like this product, but the shades are just not working on my skin (and I use all the best brushes and techniques I can find) and just find the products dry and not blendable.

I am enjoying the yellow highlight as a setting powder for my under eye concealer, but the kit isn't worth it just for that.

The kit is plastic and while I don't mind it, I always feel like it's going to snap in two. It's also quite a large palette to have in my beauty box.

Wasn't my cup of tea

Let's be honest I am not the greatest fan of contouring, I do however apply it to my clients if they want a more defined look, but generally I tend to opt for a more natural glow by adding a light dusting of bronzer to warm a face up over a the jutty lines of contour.

These powders were not the worse I have ever tried but are far from perfect, they seem to be very patchy when placed over the foundation, and has dragged up a perfect base from trying to blend out. The highlights are nice though and have a very subtle light reflective gentle quality to them which makes a face glow.

The shades are a little murky for my liking, but as a starter contouring kit I suppose it would work. For those with dry skin though the best route would be a cream contour as these powders are far too powdery and found it created quite a mess when applying.

Didn't like it

I got this contour kit as a beginner learning how to contour. It's terrible. Even only slightly dipping your brush in, you get too much product and it looks very muddy and patchy on the face. I found the products very powdery and hard to blend. The banana powder was okay to use under the eyes but I don't really reach for the palette at all. I wouldn't recommended this to a pale person as the shades are just too dark to use

Not the best contour kit

This was the first contour kit I tried, and I didn't like it. First of all, the contour powders were extremely muddy when applied to the skin, even with a light hand. They were really hard to blend out, and when they eventually did blend out, it just looked like dirt on my face.

I did like the yellow and cream coloured powders for under the eyes, but they weren't the best. I definitely wouldn't buy the kit just for those powders. They also developed a sort of hard-pan over the top of them which was strange as that has never happened to any of my setting powders before.

The highlight shade was too glittery for my personal taste, it didn't look glowy on the skin - it just looked like random glitter in setting powder.

Even though I didn't like this kit, plenty of other people do so it's just personal preference, different formulas work differently for everyone.

Good in theory but difficult to blend

I had really high hopes for this palette - it was really good value yet the packaging didn't feel cheap and I loved the "how-to" guide on the back which is great, especially for those new contouring/highlighting.

I loved the yellow powder as an under-eye shade rather than a highlighter, although I did find I needed a large quantity of product for it to be effective. The other highlighter shades weren't very shimmery at all and were virtually ineffective even after heavy application. I actually found much cheaper drugstore options to be more shimmery in comparison!

In terms of the actual contour shades, these are SO difficult to blend that even though the shades are quite nice on my skin tone, they are almost not worth the hassle of using. I tried a variety of brushes and various techniques to no avail! There is also a considerable amount of fallout which can be quite frustrating. Even if you use the tiniest amount of product it's still difficult to blend and left my skin very muddy.

On the surface the palette seems great, however, it is such a hassle to use (especially for beginners!) that I'll probably purchase a different contouring palette in the near future. Unfortunate as the wee diagrams on the back would be so useful if the product wasn't so difficult to use! I will continue to use the banana powder, however.

Tips: Apply contour shades sparingly and be prepared to blend, blend, blend!!! Wouldn't recommend to beginners.

Would not re-purchase

I bought this as a first contour kit, and would unlikely re-purchase. I still use this at the moment though (as it is the only one I have!)

The highlighting colours, dont really highlight at all. Although the yellow 'banana powder' works alright under the eyes to brighten them up a bit.

They can look quite dirty on the skin if too much is applied.

This is a good affordable contour kit for beginners, but will definitely be trying something different once I have finished this product and ready to buy another brand. It does seen to last a long time which is a plus.

Tips: Use a minimal amount on the brush
