GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

Sheer BB cream

I was really looking forward to trying this out as I was looking for a light everyday BB cream that works well for my oily skin. So I had high hopes for this Oil-free product.

First of all I have Oily-Combo skin, so even after powder finish most I still get very shiny and oily skin after a few hours of wear.

The packaging is sleek and easy to use BUT the consistency of the BB cream was really runny, so it was quite a mess when I used it for the first time. I made the mistake of squeezing it and it went everywhere. So the next time I used it, I had to be careful and hold the tube upright.

With the runny consistency it made the application really easy and smooth. I applied it when my fingers and then buffed it into my skin with a brush. And I am pleased with the finish and coverage. However it was very dewy and felt quite 'wet'. So I had to use powder to set it in place.

The scent of the product is quite subtle and nice, but the product did not last very long. After about 4 hours into the day, my face started to get very shiny and I could feel it slip and slide everywhere.

Although it has a very dewy finish so it gives your skin a healthy glow, it was still too oily for me which I didn't enjoy. Which means I have to regularly touch it up with powder to avoid looking like a greasy ball.

Another minor point was the colour, I asked for the colour medium because from the swatches online the light colour seemed too pale for me. The shade medium was way too dark and orange for me but I used it anyway because I want to test it out. It would be great if Garnier could bring out more colours.

Overall, I think this is a genuinely good product. It might suit other people who prefers the dewy finish makeup look. The price and quality of the product is acceptable, I would use this sometimes but it would not suit as an everyday BB cream for me.

Tips: Powder off your face after application. You could skip putting on SPF with this product as it has SPF 15.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil free

Skin Type - Combination which is sometimes prone to breakouts and certain things that should work don't but I haven't had any issues since using the cream. Consistency - I would say watery. It took a little bit of time to get used to it in comparison to my normal moisturiser as it's thicker. Application - easy enough to apply once I got used to it being more like a foundation than a standard moisturiser. Definitely start with less and add instead of lather on like I would normally! Fragrance - doesn't have a noticeable smell to me (that said, I do have a little bit of a cold so my sense of smell could be off) Coverage - good coverage even though it is lighter than a foundation, matte finish which smoothed everything out. Longevity - l felt that it lasted all day Price - it's around about what you would pay for some moisturiers and is probably only a little more expensive than the Neutrogena one I am currently using. Packaging - okay, not overly drawn to it but it is functional with lots of information on it. Results - I was quite happy with the results, skin feels improved and it smoothed out the different shades of my skin. It didn't feel too heavy on my face and I also felt like I wasn't shiny like I can get when I just have moisturiser on. I think that the pores have reduced on my face as well - yay! I would recommend to a friend as it's not too expensive so if it doesn't suit them, they've not invested a lot of cash. I certainly think that it's worth the money and did do as it said it would. I will definitely be continuing use, that's for sure!

Tips: Treat it a bit more like a foundation, apply a small amount at first as it's much easier to add more than have to take away when you realise you've used too much!

I'm a convert!

I have to admit that going into this trial I was sceptical about the value of BB creams for my skin. I'd tried another brand before and found it really lacking. But after using the Garnier Oil-Free BB cream, and following the helpful guidelines on BR, I'm a convert and finally understand why people rave about them.

First up, the cream is fairly loose and more 'liquidy' than I expected but so long as you're careful getting it out of the tube, you'll be fine. It spread really nicely onto my skin, but only after I'd moisturised and primed my face. I made the rookie mistake of using it on clean, dry, un-moisturised skin on my first go and it didn't spread evenly plus caused large dry patches on my cheeks.

But on a prepared face it spreads nicely and feels really light and 'non-cloggy'. On my first go I tried applying it to only one side of my face so I could really see the difference and although its quite a light coverage it was really noticeable which side of my face had the cream applied. It didn't cover all my small red marks and blemishes but sort of blurred them out. Instead of a heavy foundation effect, it was more of a smoothing and veiling effect, which I was actually pretty happy with.

For work, I apply a light covering of foundation over the top, only needing to use a small fraction of what I would normally use. I would even feel brave enough to use the BB cream on it's own on the weekend as it's perfect for that 'no makeup' feeling but still leaving your skin looking more even and bright. It also lasts really well all day, even on oily skin. I'm a convert!

Tips: Definitely moisturise and/or prime your skin before using for a nice, even application and no dry patches. I used jojoba oil and ELF primer under my BB cream and it worked brilliantly.

Still searching for my dream BB Cream

I was super excited to try out the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream after hearing amazing things about it, and hoping it wasn't just hype! In the past I had tried several BB creams in the hope of finding one that suited my skin perfectly. Unfortunately, this product isn't it.

First of all, I do LOVE the packaging which it comes in. I think the slim, stylish tube is so pretty, and I really like how easy it is for application.

The consistency of the BB cream is lovely, and it applied to my skin smoothly and with a good amount of coverage. It was only very slightly dewy, and I personally would not feel the need to top it off with powder or concealer at all. This is a great alternative to foundation in terms of the consistency and overall appearance once applied. Streak-free, flawless and pretty.

I only have two main problems with this product. The first is the scent; something about is clinical, somehow, and a definite turn off. My second problem is that despite this product being the lightest shade in the range, it still seemed way too dark for my skin tone. This could potentially be remedied by applying a light powder over the top, but on its own I definitely disliked the tone of this product.

Tips: If you've got genuinely porcelain skin like me, avoid this product! It is very unsympathetic to pale girls.

Cakey

My skin type is combination to oily and sometimes it's a little dry, I chose the medium shade to test out on my NC25 skin tone, and it appears to be a bit dark for me.

The BB cream is quite watery when I squeeze out of the tube, I like to use a primer before I apply the BB cream. During the application, it applies smoothly, I use a beauty blender to dab the products in.

The BB cream doesn't smell like anything, other than those normal moisturiser smells. It gives a sheer coverage but for some reason, my face feels heavy every time after I apply the BB cream and most of the times it appears to be very cakey and powdery with dry patches here and there.

This BB cream does reduces oil from my face and it would last up to 4 hours for me, then it starts to melt on my face, especially my nose area.

I like the packaging, the BB cream comes in a tall beige 40ml slim tube. I probably wouldn't purchase this myself as I really dislike the idea of having the BB cream melt into my nose area. After application it does gives me that glowy skin effect but after a few hours it starts to appear oily and I would have to touch up regularly.

On the packaging it states this product is suitable for the 40 - 50 age group, I see why it's not working as good as it should be on me. I have only tried it out for a week so I can't comment if it improves my skin or not, it says to allow 4 weeks for testing.

This BB cream claims to reduce oily, pore is minimized, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improve. It does not reduce oil for me, instead it makes my face feels very heavy, shows dry patches on my face, made me look cakey and a disco ball face after 4 hours wear. It does minimise pores, but I'm not sure if that's my primer or the BB cream? I used Benefit Porefessional for the primer and this BB cream does cover some of my imperfection and cover redness very well, when the BB cream starts to smelt in my face, pimples here and there reappears.

Overall, the BB cream isn't as miracle as what it claims to be, but for those who enjoys a sheer coverage and don't mind the touch ups during the day, this would be a nice product to try.

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free S

Was very excited to try this product out as I am a huge fan of BB creams, however it just wasn't for me.

Product packaging is nice and compact with a squeeze tube which I like, the product itself is very runny for a BB cream, quite orange based and has an odd smell to it.

I found it easy to apply, it glided on very nicely and was simple to blend out however the colour was too dark/ orange for my pale skin which is a bummer. It's currently not really wearable for me unless I fake tan, so I have only tried it out twice.

The coverage is okay, this BB cream would be great for those summer days where you want a light coverage. I like how it's SPF 15.

I wouldn't repurchase this as I prefer many other BB creams out there (such as Skin 79 and Lioele Triple the Solution) but I may recommend to a friend who is new to the world of BB creams as it is easy to use and affordable.

I will have to give this a better go in the summer months when I have a bit of a tan otherwise it will be given to my bestie who actually has some colour in her skin haha.

Did anyone else find the light shade too dark/ orange for them?

Speed up your Morning routine with Garnier BB Crea

I used the Garnier BB cream for oily/combination skin every day for a week. I have Combination Skin with the occasional blemish around cheeks or chin. I used the medium toned cream. I think it was a little dark but once blended into the skin and wearing other makeup the colour looked fine. The cream was quite runny and dropped out of the tube if I didn't put the lid straight on. The runniness made getting the right amount difficult and sometimes I ended up with too much cream. It came in a tube and was easy to squeeze out and apply. The tube fits nicely in my make up purse making it easy to take with me in my handbag. This BB cream is easy to apply. I used my fingertips and applied it without moisturising first. I got a nice matt finish which left my skin looking fresh without shine. The fragrance was light and I didn't notice it when applying or wearing the cream. It is long lasting and I use it in place of moisturiser, foundation and concealer for everyday wear. For an evening out I would apply two coats. It feels light and doesn't make my skin feel caked like a regular foundation. Most of my blemishes and any large pores are minimised. I'd recommend it for people who don't want a heavy duty cover. This cream seems to do what it says except for the part that says "instantly perfect skin", my skin looked better, not perfect. The cream for combination/oily skin does control shine and has a matte effect and it reduces pores and imperfections. I can use it without moisturising but sometimes my skin feels a little tight and I could do with a moisture boost. The price is good in comparison to other brands I have used. It is possibly better than my expensive Lancôme BB cream so better value for money. My skin looks nice without looking overdone and it feels and looks quite natural. I would definitely recommend buying this cream and would use it again. I'd like to try the light tone to see if it's a better match for my skin.

Tips: Spread the cream quickly before it dries. Add an extra coat for more coverage and team with concealer for problem spots.

BB Cream for Normal Skn

I thought it was great, made my skin feel silky, applied a light dust of transparent power over the top, lasted all day. Felt light not heavy like other creams, when I buy some I will go with the darker shade , Great product .

Tips: Dont wear it out at night if you are planning on taking photos, made me look very pale in photos could have been the SPF.

Good Results

I have combination skin so this BB cream really appealed to me as I find a lot are too moisturising for my nose and forehead areas. It was quite a liquidy formula, much thinner than many BB creams. I tried applying this with my fingers and with a brush, but definitely prefer the finish from a finger application. It has a pleasant smell, and did set quite nicely on my face. However I would not call it a matte finish. It was defnitely still dewy looking in some places. The proudct was buildable, one layer was great for an easy day to day look, but two layers was great for if I wanted more coverage. The product did last well, but I felt it oxidised a bit throughout the day so by night time it did look a little orange. The packaging was great, it was a sleek tube and meant you could squeeze out any amount whether it be big or small.I did find the BB cream clung a little to a dry area on my forehead one morning, if I had exfoliated my skin and moisturised properly before bed I think it would have been fine. Overall I really like this product. I am continuing to use it on a day to day basis, its great for uni when I want light make up, but also great with a couple of layers for work. I would recommend this BB cream to anyone, especially those with oily skin. I felt my skin did stay more matte than it would with some other BB creams, and it had great wear time. :)

Tips: This BB cream wears great under foundation! I put a layer of this on, and then took a very small amount of foundation and blended that over the areas I wanted more coverage and it worked great! Also this is a great product for the price, I have paid a lot more than the price of this for a product that is not as good! Try it out!

Love this product.

I have combination skin which can get a little oily in the Winter, so thought this product would be great for me. It is quite watery in consistency, but goes on beautifully. Its really light and easy to apply. You can use your fingertips for a light cream coverage or a brush for more full coverage. With a primer on underneath it makes a great foundation. It goes matte quickly after application which is great for oily skin, it feels really soft. It does have a bit of an alcohol smell to it - my first thought was hand sanitiser? But I am used to it now and find it quite pleasant. With finishing powder it lasts all day. I would recommend this- I love it. I got it in the light colour even though I'm an 005 in Revlon, which was risky but it blends perfectly. It also suits my sister who is a whole tone lighter.

Tips: Put a primer underneath for a full foundation like coverage. Mix with a little foundation for going out - this will also fix the runny consistency.
