Maybe Me

This foundation is extremely light. It is great for everyday use as it doesn't clog the pores (as much as alternatives). It is very affordable and easily accessible. The unique design makes it different to other designs. Having to pour it out of the bottle is a little inconvenient. I recommend not to use this if you are looking to a full coverage look. But it can be used as a primer or tinted moisturizer to compliment thicker alternatives.

Tips: An affordable everyday foundation.

Okay/Good

This foundation is a bit of a hit and miss for me. I bought it in my skin tone which was nearly the lightest but it was a bit too orange, then i brought the lightest shade and it was way too light. For its price its a good foundation, its good coverage and lasts quite awhile. I found it could be quite cakey for my skin though it was a foundation i would use if i was going out to party and wanted a face full of makeup, wouldn't be something i would wear during the day it really clogs up my skin and took me forvever to remove. In saying that you get what you pay for, for the price its a good foundation has a few flaws but thats okay.

Maybelline fit me foundation

I use this foundation for work and if I'm around home, it's good for a light coverage I wouldn't wear it if I were going out it makes my skin far to oily

Conflicted

I spent a long time choosing the right foundation, and this is what I eventually settled for. Having tested other shades out, I found was the foundation and shade that "fit me" best. The colour is perfect for my skin however is comes off looking quite shiny and I don't have another powder to prevent that. I set it with a translucent powder however this doesn't seem to quite do the trick. Another annoying thing is that to get decent coverage, I end up putting quite a lot on which uses up the product fast and only makes my skin look more shiny. I'd rather add shininess with a highlighter than all over my face with a foundation!

Color

I bought the Fit Me dewy + smooth because all of the reviews on youtube and they had a shade light enough for my skin and usually it's hard to get drug store foundation to match my skin. I'm 110 porcelain, and I loved it when I first applied it then after awhile, my face became very oily, very quick. So after blotting all day, and then washing my face, the next morning I had a few bumps pop up. So, I went and bought the Fit Me matte + poreless 110 porcelain, right off the bat I noticed the matte foundation was almost a shade lighter than the dewy, which was fine because i thought the dewy 110 could have been lighter, but they are both advertised the same shade, number and etc.. So i don't understand? Formulation maybe? But I found the matte to work much better on my type of skin because i wasn't an oily mess in a few hours. I love how it's medium coverage and looks like my natural skin. It's a satin finish, would def buy again, just hope the color thing can be explained at some point.

Average foundation

Great foundation for teens or beginners, not full coverage enough for me even with lawyers. Ended up giving all the shades I bought in this product to my little sister. I didn't like how the product emphasised imperfections on my combination skin. Tried using this product this a beauty blender and brushes and it blends a lot nicer with the beauty blender.

Matte and Poreless and Dewy and Smooth in 110

I was so stoked to see these new formulations of the fitme foundation pop up for sale in my shade on trademe. 110 is the lightest shade, and while readily available overseas is extremely hard to come by in New Zealand. It is a wee bit light for me in summer but is a perfect fit for me in winter. Fitme foundation was the first foundation I ever used (some 15 years ago! ) and was one I really liked at the time. After hearing such great things about the new formulations I was extremely excited to try these out.

Dewy and smooth was an absolute dream to apply- I used my flathead kabuki brush for this. I found that I needed to use a pore filling primer with this, but because this is such a dewy formulation I didn't feel like I also needed a moisturizing primer. The coverage of this is medium, certainly not enough to give me any coverage over my acne. The finish is what it says on the bottle-dewy, but not overly shiny. While I don't have oily skin, I did find that this got oily on my nose after being on my skin for a few hours. I tried this foundation with powder to set, and without. I found that if I didn't set with powder, that I only had about 4 hours of wear time. However I found that if I did set with powder, that I had a lot of settling in my fine lines and wrinkles- not a good look.

Matte and Poreless was a bit unpredictable for me. I found that despite its claims, that I needed to use a porefilling or smoothing primer underneath. However I still found that this foundation settled into my pores, particularly when it was hot. I found that you had to be rather quick with your application as this formula set rather quickly on the skin. I didn't find that this highlighted any dry patches like some matte foundations do, which was nice. The longevity of this formula was a little better than the dewy and smooth, however I still felt that this was medium coverage, and trying to build up the coverage anymore only led to cakiness.

While I do think that these are great entry level foundations, they simply didn't work for my skin- not enough coverage and not very flattering on my large pores. It also really bothers me that the lightest shade concealer in the fitme range is darker than this foundation- what gives Maybelline?! I will continue to use these and experiment with different primers however, as I love the shade range.

Perfect shade but not long lasting

When I first tried the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (Dewy and Smooth) in 310 Sun Beige, I was amazed at how well the shade fit my skin. I often find foundation shades to be either too light or too dark for my skin tone, so it was a joy to have discovered this foundation. It was easy to apply, either with a brush, blender sponge or with my fingers. It has a pleasant scent, and it was nice to have the SPF protection. Initially, I absolutely loved this foundation. The medium coverage evened out my skin tone without making me looked like I had heavy makeup on as the shade I had completely blends in with my skin tone. True to its name, it gave my skin a dewy finish without appearing shiny.

However, I soon noticed that the foundation does not last for long (probably 3-4 hours), and does not seem to settle onto my face. I found out about this when I hugged a friend who had a white top on, and she ended with patches of my foundation on her top! I also noticed my foundation sliding off when I blow my nose. I tried setting my foundation with translucent powder, but it ended up showing my wrinkles and made my face appeared cakey. It was not a look I favour!

I still use this foundation from time to time, as the shade is an absolute dream, but am very conscious about hugging people if I have this foundation on!

Tips: Great for beginners to makeup. Beware of the foundation sliding off onto clothing (yourself and others!).

Decent product

I found that this product worked perfectly on me. It was long wearing and didn't feel cakey. It was a decent foundation.

DONT like original fit me, DO like matte&poreless;

Original fit me foundation is definitely a NO GO for oily skin. within just a couple of hours even after setting with a powder this foundation has me looking like a oil slick. did not like it at all. However matte and poreless i do like. provides pretty good coverage, evens out my skin tone, can still see freckles and my veins on my checks though so not full coverage at all. Doesn't cover redness on my checks to well still need to conceal that. Is matte right from application so i find you need to blend out quickly, love doing this with sigma F80 flat top kabuki. good for every day wear as it looks natural and efortless but tends to still become quite oily on me after around 5-6 hours of wear would need to blot oil and re powder.

Tips: If your oily like me, still set with a powder, as it does not stay matte on oily skin types.
