GARNIER'S new BB Cream,  combats shiny, oily skin, by combining the power of ultra-absorbent mineral pigments for an immediate matte look and perfect, even-toned skin.

The oil-free BB cream works in five ways. It reduces imperfections, moisturises, gives skin a healthy glow, delivers a beautiful matte finish to skin and provides all-important sun protection with SPF 15.

GARNIER'S Oil-free BB Cream provides instant results while also improving the skin’s quality over time. After four weeks the results are clearly visible; skin is less oily, pores reduced in size, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved.

It has a  new active ingredient,  Mineral perlite - a powerful volcanic rock extract known for its ultra-absorbing properties.

Mineral perlite is able to retain up to two-and-a-half times its weight in oil and water and is five times more absorbing than talc, meaning any excess sebum is absorbed to fight that oily shine. This combined with uncoated mineral pigments gives the skin an even tone and a perfectly matte finish

GARNIER Miracle Skin Perfector-Oil-free BB cream is available in two shades - light and medium.

Average BB

First of all I will admit I'm very picky with bb creams. I have my favourites- lioele, chi chi, and skin79- and while there are some I kind of like (loreal, Maybelline,) I do tend to stick with those, because they do ever thing I want them to. I was excited to try this range specifically targeted at certain issues- oil, anti aging etc. Due to my combination skin which has been quite oily through the t zone lately I went with the combination to oily formula in light. The formula is a bit thin and I had to use more than I normally would. It took a long time to blend in - tried with fingers, a brush and sponge, and I found the colour oxidized a bit orange on my skin. The finish was nice and felt lovely but the product moved easily on my skin and didn't like my foundation over the top. The coverage was ok but I wasnt impressed with the colour. It seemed to sit on my skin for a long time and not really settle. The packaging was ok but the smell of the product was quite chemically and I could smell it on my face. It didn't have a lot of staying power in comparison to others and in general it wouldn't be one I purchased, but for a cheaper bb it would stand up ok. I am glad I got to try it, I do prefer to invest in my primer products and save money elsewhere and this product did remind me why.

Garnier BB Cream

I first tried a BB cream about a year ago and was very disappointed. I have oily skin so I found that the product was very heavy and very dewy on my skin. I am also very fair so I chose the lightest shade and this was so orange on my skin! I used it once and felt like I had wasted my money. When I saw the ooportunity to try this BB cream I was really keen as so many people use BB cream so figured they cant all be bad. I am in love! The liquid doesn't feel heavy on my skin and it has a matte finish to it. The shade is perfect and it stays on my skin all day without changing colour or sliding off. The coverage is great as well, perfect for the weekend. I will definitely be continuing to use this product.

Tips: I applied mine using a beauty blender. I felt this was a better application than my foundation brush.

Garnier Miracle Skin

Garnier Miracle Skin! When I initially opened the lid on the BB cream it came rushing out and made a bit of a mess, I was a bit weary of the product after this initial flaw but was pleasantly surprised. Once I had the cream on my face it instantly evened out my skin toned and covered those unwanted imperfections. The BB cream felt light and smooth on my face and the medium colour was a perfect combination for my skin tone (with the added bonus of being SPF15). The BB cream provided good coverage for day to day wear but if I was going out I would want to use another product with this. It was awesome to see the product worked well for my skin and didn't make my skin any more oily than it usually is. I found my skin was clear after wearing it where some other products can cause my skin to break out. Overall I found the product to do what it said and I would definitely use it again for day to day coverage.

Tips: Although the BB cream states it hydrates the skin I would still use a moisturiser as well =)

It's Great!

I really like this BB cream, it is perfect for those days that you don't want full coverage, but still want a little bit.

It comes in a nice slim tube, and the product is really easy to get out. Maybe a little too easy as its quite a runny formula however just make sure you shake it before using and it will mix and not be so runny. However as it is runny, it makes it very easy to apply.

The coverage is great and makes a real difference to the evenness of my skin. Its staying power is not that great however. It looks fab for a few hours and then the coverage starts to wear off, however that's not really a major issue as the coverage is still OK after this time, and as i said before I use BB cream when I'm not wanting that much coverage anyway.

The colour is fine and matches my skin tone well (light).

It has a pleasant smell, and there is no fragrance. Once it is on your skin it is completely odorless.

It deffinitly controls oil all day. No oily skin at all, however if you have a few dry patches on your face, it really shows these as the product sticks to the dry patches and makes them look even drier if that makes sense.

Overall I really like it and will definitely keep using it.

Thanks Beauty Review & Garnier for letting me trial this! xxx

Tips: Give it a good shake before using it Use moisturiser before, as it does not moisturise.

A good BB cream but not for me

I wore this product over three different days to test it out.

In general, I noticed that the formula is runnier than other BB creams that I have tried, this allows for the cream to spread easily across the skin however be careful when opening the tube. The product has a reasonably good scent, can't smell the SPF like many other products with SPF included- I like this about this product.

Day One: Applied onto bare skin. Absorbs well and gives a satin-like finish. Has general wear- if wearing over the course of the day, would definitely need to reapply at least once

Day Two: Applied onto bare skin and then set with finishing powder. Applying the finishing powder gave a more flawless finish however didn't seem to alter its longevity- would still need to reapply during the day

Day Three: Applied concealer, then BB cream and then foundation. WATCH OUT! It looked like I had applied way too much product and I had to spend a bit more time blending to ensure it didn't look "cakey". Applying finishing powder definitely toned down the "overdone" look however I would definitely be mindful to either apply less BB cream or less foundation than usual if using both products (probably a no-brainer but I thought I hadn't used much product anyway- USE LESS!)

I personally would not buy this again as I don't feel that it is the right colour for me (I am very fair with a pinky undertone), and for a BB cream, it is far too much under a foundation.

Tips: I would use this product more as a day to day wear if you don't feel like applying foundation. Personally, I would still use a finishing powder as I feel like this intensifies the matte, flawless look

Garnier Oil Free BB Cream

I have used Garnier BB Creams when they first came out. I thought they were OK but too thick and too pink. I had a feeling this would be the same but was extremely surprised in the new oil free formula.

First thing I noticed, was how the tube was skinny and tall, making it easy to distinguish between the oil free and other types from the range. I was super impressed to see that the colour of the BB cream was more yellow based, perfect for me (I had the light colour) and definitely not what I expected.

The first application (and every other application since) went well, glided on smoothly, didn't oxidise on my skin, and didn't end up patchy throughout the day. The only downside was that it smelt quite strongly of alcohol. The coverage was good, enough to cover my blemishes without any concealer.

All in all, I was very impressed and will most definitely be purchasing this again!

Tips: Always apply with a brush, not the fingers as the fingers increase the amount of oil on the skin.

In love

I am fairly new to BB Creams, I have tried one once before about a year ago and i was not impressed with the results. So i have avoided them since. But after being chosen to do a review on the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream, i was excited to give Bb Creams another go. I must admit i was highly impressed with the results. I usually suffer from quiet an oily T Zone, but i found this balanced it out and gave me a Matte finish, even after applying it 8 hours earlier my skin still looked great. I will be purchasing this again in the future.

Nice coverage

I have never worn a BB cream before as I have always been in the mindframe that it would not provide enough coverage for my skin. However I was suprised with the results I got with this. First off when I opened the tube it came out quite watery and bubbly, I just resealed the tube and gave it a good shake and this seemed to help. The consistancy is still quite thin but it seems that, that is how it is meant to be. The other thing that I noticed straight away is that considering that it was the light colour it was quite a lot darker than what I imagined it would be. I decided to try this BB cream in a range of different ways over the course of the trial and see what I got the best results from. Day 1- I did my usual skin care rountine, applied my primer and concealer and then used the BB cream in place of my usual foundation. I only applied one layer as it is quite dark on me. I then applied my usual blusher etc and finished with my pressed powder. I thoughgt it looked quite good and even though the coverage was lighter than I would have got if I had used my foundation I was happy enough with it. During the day it stayed in place and it was only after about 8-9 hours that I noticed a bit of a sheen which I removed with my usual blotting papers. I quite liked the fact that the BB cream didn't feel heavy on my skin. Day 2- I decided to apply the BB cream in place of my usual moisturiser and leave it just by itself. this time I applied two applications and actually ened up taking it all off and starting again with only one application as putting on two made me look really orange. I also did not apply a pressed powder on top as i wanted to see if it would stay but itself. I wasn't really that pleased with the results I got using it this way as I found it slipped quite quickly and I got quite a lot of shiny oilyness through my T-zone. Day 3- I decided to use the BB cream as a primer under my normal foundation as I had read that this was another way of wearing it. I used my normal moisturiser and let it dry before applying the BB cream. Because of the darkness of the Bb cream I did think the overall look once my foundation was applied was a bit too dark but other than that I think it worked rather well. Again it took about 8 hours before I started to notice any shinyness.

Since doing these three applications I have used it in both the first and third way and I definatly like the first way I applied it the most, and I will continue to use it as I do think it does most of what it states it will

Tips: Apply lightly to begin with and then build on that if needed as it has quite a lot of colour to it and can turn too dark really quickly

Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream Oil-free

My first thought was that I liked the shape of the bottle, being tall and thin making it easy to differentiate between the different skin types. To the most part it does what it says it would, the coverage is great, I was surprised by how much it evened out my skin for that flawless look, and it definitely gives you a matte finish. It is quite a runny formula and I thought this would have made it easier to apply evenly but I found that it seemed to go on thicker than expected and although it's supposed to moisturise your skin too, I found using a moisturiser first made it easier to apply the BB cream and eliminated any dryer patches from showing up. It is long lasting, my face stayed matte for most of the days I wore it, but applying a matte powder towards the end of the day helped to keep it matte and fresh looking. Quick and easy especially when you don't feel like applying full foundation and the colour was perfect for me (light). Would use again.

Tips: Use a moisturiser first before applying the BB cream, makes it go on easier and dry spots wont show up.

Noticed after a few more days of trialing the product seemed to cause my skin to break out. Having stopped using it my skin has began to clear up again. Will try it again in the near future, will hopefully have better luck then.
