I was lucky enough to be sent the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream (Sensitive Skin and colour is Light).
Firstly the packaging is good; nice and clear in describing what the item is for and what it does. The tube is a good size with an easy to use flip lid.
I usually use either plain moisturiser or foundation because my experience with BB Creams/tinted moisturisers have never been that great; too dark, too oily, comes off in flakey bits.... List goes on. I've just had my wisdom teeth removed so I have bruising all over my cheeks; I haven't wanted to wear heavy makeup due to it being painful to apply, so I thought this would be just right for the last few days.
The application was easy and smooth, and a little seems to go a long way. I had trouble with it being too dark but I think it's just because I've been red, bruised and discoloured; so next week It might look better.
The consistency is good, as above it's smooth and you only need a little bit. I didn't try it with any makeup overtop because I didn't need to; I haven't gone out anywhere but the supermarket. But I think if I were to wear makeup overtop I would have to apply it very carefully and naturally; I believe it would rub off into balls and pool into different colours on my skin.
The smell is fresh and clean, and it seems to wear well over the day. Easy to remove with a makeup wipe at the end of it all.
Overall, I wouldn't buy it (or any other BB Cream) again, purely because I don't think I'd wear it very often and I prefer "all or nothing". It didn't add to my skin-confidence and I didn't feel like doing my hair or dressing nicely (which I usually feel like doing when my hair and face is 'done').
I'd say compared to the last Garnier BB Cream I tried, this was marginally nicer. It would suit clear and blemish free skin, better, I believe.
Thanks BeautyReview xxx
I received this in the light colour.
The packaging is pretty normal nothing too fancy. I like that the bottle is an upside down squeeze bottle as it makes it easy to use.
It smells like sunblock for some reason. Maybe because it has spf in it (added bonus) but I didn't notice the smell as much after a couple of minutes.
Formula - I found that the formula felt creamy to me and it glides across your skin. I applied it a few different ways to see if it would make a difference. I first tried with my fingers and it glided on smoothly but I found it was a little patchy and didn't give me the best coverage. I then tried with a foundation brush and found this was better as you could blend it in and get better coverage. A little goes a long way as well which is great. Colour wise it was a shade orange for my skin but nothing too noticeable. I have quite sensitive skin especially my cheeks and under my chin and I had no irritation at all.
Coverage - I found it was good for evening out my skin tone but it didn't cover my blemishes and redness in my skin. I tried applying another layer but it still didn't cover the redness and the formula crumbled a little on my skin when applying a second layer.
Overall - I will use this for days where I am around home and want very light coverage or days that my skin is looking fantastic. Not 100% sure if I would repurchase
Tips: Skip moisturising - it is very hydrating
