I bought this product from the mac cosmetics website and it was my first time buying from there so I wasn't too sure on the correct colour. When I received it the colour match was ok just abit darker but it was fine to be used in summer. When I tried the product It did feel a tad heavy but the coverage wasn't full enough to cover my blemishes but it did give it a nice coverage. Love that you can take it anywhere on the go with its mirror compact. It did last along time and I did not get shiny patches on my skin. Would be buying this again.

I own MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC20 and I absolutely love it, i use it to set my liquid foundation it is so easy to apply and i find it has such a matte finish that all the shine is removed all day with such full coverage as well. They have such a huge range of colours available for each different skin tone so you are sure to find the right colour for you.
This has become my go to powder foundation. I am not a fan of liquid foundation at all - it never seems to agree with my skin, drying out and looking cakey. This, however, blends well, looks natural and is light to wear.
This does provide a reasonable coverage; medium to full, depending on how you apply it. I am not a fan of heavy makeup so I like a lighter coat. I love that they have such a huge range of shades and that, for once, I could buy a shade of makeup that actually matches my skin tone. It lasts me a long time (almost a year - mind you I don't wear it every single day and I only use it lightly) and I believe it is the best value for money currently.
I like to apply this with a fluffy powder brush rather than a sponge; again the brush blends it nicer and does not leave a heavy coat on my skin. I wear this over a BB cream or, if I am going out or wanting slightly heavier coverage, a small amount of liquid foundation. I usually (when I remember - I can be a bit lazy) finish with a makeup mist spray so that the powder doesn't feel or look dry on days I wear it slightly heavier and this seems to help it last all day.
I will definitely be repurchasing closer to Christmas (as I am travelling overseas and can make a weeee stop at Duty Free).
Tips: Great value for money. I tend to purchase at Duty Free which is quite a bit cheaper than in a normal Mac store.
where can i start about this foundation....this is life saver and holy grail compact foundation. As i don't like heavy, cakey and masking foundation as some of liquid foundation feel after apply. i don't wear heavy makeup but i like natural looking makeup so it is very hard to find that kind of foundation and specially perfect skin colour match. i have warm yellowish neautral cool skin colour so i get tired to find perfect match for me. at one time i refused to very foundation for one year and after that i found out mac cosmetice in kirkcaldie&stains;.
when mac cosmetice counter lady show me my skin colour foundation and i asked her where did you applied foundation on my face. beacuse foundation colour is disappear on skin tone. mac studio fix power plus foundation is like compact comes with sponge which is very handy. its provides smooth velvety and oil free finish and you coverage wise you can buildup medium to full its up to you. i use real technique face expert brush for that. gives me full coverage and weightless.
Tips: best foundation who doesn't like to wear heavy makeup but like to cover some imperfection on their face.
First off I just want to say that Mac has to be an all round wonderful brand with a huge range to suit all skin types and colours!
I have Mac Studio fix powder plus foundation which I got for $30 which included a foundation( of a different brand) A Great bargain right!?!
My first thoughts were oh... it's just a plan looking powder that didn't seem very special after all the hype but I was pleasantly surprised!
This Powder is amazing it has a great smooth consistency that gives medium to full coverage depending on how much applied. I use it to set my foundation and it spreads nice and evenly over my skin hiding all my freckles and unwanted acne scars! it also leaves it feeling very soft and velvety. This Powder has a light beautiful scent.
I find most of Mac products and high in price but well worth it, I have had my powder for a few months now and feel I can use for another 6 months! Great product, great value, great look!
Tips: Use a thin Lizzy Brush it spreads nicely and evenly and the powder doesn't absorb into it.
I was always sceptical of MAC products, thinking they were mostly name drops and it wasn't until we won an incentive at work of MAC vouchers that I actually tried it. Who doesn't love free make up?! So I purchased a MAC studio fix powder foundation in W22, I have been loyal to this powder ever since! I wear it by itself on my face as I am not a big make up person, since using it my skin has improved and I receive regular compliments on my make up. If your not sure on the product, go to a MAC store and ask a make up artist to apply it for you so you can see for yourself! They also help with the right colour selection and that sort of stuff. I also apply a nice hydrating moisturiser before applying as I only use the powder on its own, so if you want to do that, I'd recommend applying moisterisor first
This is a sleek black compact with a decent sized mirror on the inside and a compartment under the powder for a sponge ( I threw that away- I prefer to use a brush)
I use it two ways- I find its great for by itself just to smooth out skin and perk you up a bit, I will do this for light makeup days or when I'm looking a bit tired and can't be bothered with a full face. I do not find that any powder foundation gives me the coverage I want say for a night out.
I do also find that studio fix powder works great over liquid foundation. it is what I use to set my foundation down- I do not find it too cakey or powdery this way but If I have gone a bit crazy on it then my magical fix+ sorts me out.
All in all I have found this has lasted me a long time (keeping in mind I do not wear makeup daily) and gives my skin a lovely finish and coverage.
Will continue to repurchase
Tips: Use a facepowder brush for nicer application
This is a simple, great powder foundation. The packaging is nice and simple with a mirror and a lower compartment that holds the included powder puff. It clicks securely shut and is nice and sturdy. The powder itself is super smooth and finely milled. I personally don't wear this powder just on it's own as I have acne that I prefer to completely cover up, however I do wear this on top of my liquid foundation and it works perfectly. It gives me that extra bit of coverage without looking heavy or cakey. I find other products (bronzer, highlight etc.) also blend nicely on top of this foundation as it creates a nice smooth surface for other products. I've finished and repurchased this product several times :)
Tips: Tap off the excess powder from your brush before applying to the face!
This is a short review because I don't know what else to say other than I love this powder, its everything you want in a powder and is true to everything it says, the only issue I have is the palest one is very slightly too dark and a little on the pink side for me but barely noticeably so. All around I love this, only major downside is the price.
This has been my favourite setting powder for winter when I like having more of a matte finish for my skin. It's really full coverage and can be used alone or on top of a BB cream or foundation. I have normal to oily skin and I'm obsessed with this for my skin when I get more oily because if I apply this in the morning I won't get oily throughout the day. There's a good amount of product in the pan and I really don't use a lot so I find it lasts me quite a long time. And Mac has a good recycling system where you can return 6 empty products and you get a free lipstick or eye shadow!
