NYX butter glosses are so soft on your lips and taste good, color is shiny, but what I don't like is they don't stay on long at all. Not even an hour.

I love the look of gloss but often not the wear, and these Butter Glosses definitely didn't change that opinion.
The packaging is simple, attractive and effective.
The product is not super pigmented and looks pretty on. It's also buttery and soft but soooo sticky. And if you're in wind your hair gets stuck to your lips something shocking. So my top tip is that it's not the ideal product for cities like Windy Wellington.
It's also not particularly long wearing, especially if you need to eat. But as a quick touch or touch up it's a nice product.
It has very good coverage power, totally different from what i always think about a lip gloss. However, i dont like the look of it on me. When you look from far away its ok, closer look, its not smooth, dry and runny in the same time. My lip and the lip butter just dont go together like you mix oil with water.
These are lovely to apply, non-sticky, non shimmery with a good taste (a buttery vanilla rather than the off-putting somewhat cough syrup cherry scent of the mega glosses) but like all Nyx products finding a shade is the hard part as the names do not correctly fit the shades whatsoever and neither do the website descriptions - creme brulee turned out to be hot pink on me and tiramisu which is described as a nude brown translates as a vibrant neon peach based pink. If I could find a shade I would up this one point!
I bought this in the colour 'Strawberry Parfait', and I do like the colour. It's a nice, somewhat bright pink colour. The gloss is basically just like most other lipglosses I have owned over the years. It looks lovely at first but disappears once you eat or drink. It is fairly cheap, and I'm pleased to see it's not tested on animals as I'm trying to move towards cruelty free products.
Tips: Wear it over a similarly coloured lipstick or liner, for lasting colour, and you can top up the gloss as the day goes on.
I have an absolute love hate relationship with this product. I love the following- The pigment- these are beautiful shades all with great pigment which show up well on the lip. The colour does last relatively well for this sort of liquid lippies too. The range of colours- there really is a large selection of beautiful and very wearable shades in the range. They go especially well when paired with a stain or another lippie. The packaging and smell are all good too. However there are a couple of things I don't like. The wearability- these are a bit tacky and slippery which I suppose is to be expected. I personally don't like this type of product though- it slips off my lips and generally all over the place. I pretty much have to wear a lippie or liner and more often both to keep it where it needs to be. And while it's not nearly as bad as many others I hate my lips sticking together and feeling tacky. I do really like the finish though- it's not too sheer at all and really gas impact. Ahhh! So love hate I can't decide!!!
Tips: Pair with liner or lippie :)
NYX does great lip products and their Butter Lipsticks are some of the best, but I can't say I'm too massive a fan of these glosses. First the great things: The color payoff is terrific! The color selection is amazingly broad, you'll find a color to match any shade of lipstick or liptint you may have! The longevity of these kicks serious arse!
But personally I just find their stickiness annoying and its a big turnoff for me.
I purchased 3 Nyx Butter Glosses in Tiramisu, Angel Food Cake and Vanilla Cream Pie. After all the hype around these that I've seen on YouTube I was really disappointed
They applied quite streaky and unevenly in terms of colour, i didn't like the feeling of them on my lips. They are SUPER sticky, please don't make the same mistake and wear them on a super windy day because your hair will get stuck to your lips multiple times.
They aren't long lasting either, with eating and drinking they usually last around like two hours. I do however love the packaging and the applicator for them.
Overall I wouldn't really reccomend them as they aren't really up my alley but I think they're great for someone who's just starting out with makeup
Tips: Less is more - don't go overboard!
I really wish I loved these as much as everyone else does! I find them far to thick for everyday use & I'm yet to find a colour that looks good on me.
I have tried so many times to use the 3 that I have & I always end up wiping them off because I can't cope with the way these feel on my lips.
I also find that the coverage is never even, they settle into lines and look patchy after a few minutes. I'll stick with my NYX matte lip creams. They're incredible!
Tips: On the plus side these are the best smelling lip glosses EVER!
Really? These are $8.00?? Wow, Queen St Farmers are really ripping people off!! I bought one from there a few months ago for around $11. Anyway, I bought the shade Tiramisu after swatching a few - this shade was exactly what I was after - a soft nude shade with a hint of pink/brown that looked natural.
It is quite a small tube when you take away the cap. The applicator is easy to apply the gloss and it feels really soft on my lips. The texture of the gloss is really nice, it's the right consistency for me..not too thick but not too thin where you wonder if theres any point to wearing it.
The product smells really nice!! My only negative with this product is the bottle is too small in terms of it doesnt last long at all.
