I absolutely love MAC!! They are expensive but worth the price and never fail!! They have so many shades for everyone and never fails! The consistency of the lip stick is perfect! when you apply to your lips, it has great coverage, smells like vanilla cupcakes or caramelly, and is another way of identifying REAL Mac to FAKE Mac products. The product last a long time, depending on how much you use it. (Mine lasted 8 months.) Nothing compares to MAC, and the proceeds go to a great cause. MAC is a lot more expensive than normal makeup products, but the quality is worth every penny. The packaging is amazing, I have a nice small black MAC gift bag, and the lipstick packaging is plain, but displays the shade and name of the lippy. Very authentic and the results are breath taking! I have Retro Matte lippy and its bright, bold, adds colour to my outfit, goes well with my olive skin colour and adds that extra touch to your outfit. I have sensitive skin as well, and react quite bad to a lot of products, but with this MAC lipstick, I had no reaction and am sooo happy with my purchase.
I purchased my first MAC lipstick about 8 months ago in the colour "craving"
These lipsticks are quite expensive in NZ compared to the US. They have a wide colour range which varies in finishes from Matte to cream to satin etc.
Craving is very creamy and I have noticed it melts easier compared to my other lipsticks, however it applies very easy and creates a lovely, deep colour.
I don't think the lipstick lasts ages on my lips, but they do have amazing colours. But you could probably find much cheaper dupes.
Update: I now own about six of these, and I must admit I am very impressed. The colour range is beautiful, but I tend to go for shades that I don't think I could find anywhere else in dupe- or cheaper form!
The least favourite I own would have to be Crème De Nude. I am so disappointed to say that, I had heard many raving reviews about how awesome it was for fair skin and how it was the perfect nude! Unfortunately.. This was not the case for me, I found it didn't go opaque enough on my lips and looked streaky. I personally would not purchase this again, as it didn't live up to my expectations!
Morange is an unsual reddy-orange colour which I love! It is hard to wear, or find clothes that will match it. Therefor, I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for an everyday lippy, spend your money on something more suitable! However, it is very creamy, easy to apply and stays on a decent amount of time!
Rebel, Impassioned and Diva are two that I love! They apply creamy, however you must be careful not to make a mistake as it can ruin your foundation! They are beautiful colours, and I would keep repurchasing. I believe they would suit so many different skin tones and hair colours etc!
The packaging is easy to use, just slip off the lid and twist the tube up. Be careful not to twist it too much as it can break! Also, keep them cool as they can melt easily!
Tips: Store in cool area, Don't twist too much up
I purchased Cremesheen Creme Cup a nude pink yesterday based on the reviews. I'm not sure about the shade, but it's outside my normal comfort zone colour of slightly brown nude. It's very moisturising and does last. It is very pricey compared to my favourite Revlon Lip Butter Creme Brulee, but I will persevere because I love the lippy. I think it's more of an evening colour with smokey eyes rather than a day colour. Would buy again. 9/10 but only because of the $40 price tag.
Oh, so pretty. So many colours. So many finishes. Just. Love. Them.
I have tried quite a few different Mac lippies, but my favourite is Girl About Town. It's such a pretty, bright, in your face pink. I only wear this colour when I'm feeling super brave (I'm a wuss, nudey pinks are usually my go-to) but when I wear this I'm reminded how much I love it (especially with edgier outfits).
All the finishes are super flattering and pretty (except, I assume, the frost finishes, but I have never tried one because I already know I hate frosty lipsticks).
I could honestly talk about these all day, they are just the best. Go buy one.
Adore MAC cosmetics and their lippy is to die for. Lippy is one of my bold make up choices and I love that with MAC I can have access to an amazing range of colours and finishes. If you find the matte finish a bit drying just slick over some clear lip balm
so freaking good! so creamy and easy to apply! also quite long wearing and smell amazinggg. i own four but would happily purchase more. probably a bit pricey for me to buy all the time but defiantly worth buying
I recently succumbed to temptation and bought my first MAC lipstick: a cremesheen finish, in the shade "Hot Gossip".
This particular shade is a beautiful mid-tone pink that on me is a perfect, slightly deeper, MLBB (my lips but better) shade. It does have some shimmer, but it's in no way frosty or glittery (I really dislike those finishes), and it really just adds to the slightly glossy look when it's applied.
The formula is looooooovely: creamy, easy to apply, buildable (one swipe is an even but light coat of colour, but it can be built up very quickly to full opacity), and it smells great! I now understand why people rave about the MAC lipstick smell - it's like a subtle warm vanilla.
The lasting power is good for such a creamy formula, in my opinion. I can get about 4 hours wear before reapplying, although that is obviously less if I eat or have a coffee.
It is expensive, that is true. However, the formula and shade range is so good that I think it's worth it, particularly when you consider how expensive many 'drugstore' brand lipsticks can be - Revlon ones are up around the $30 mark sometimes, which isn't that much less than this!
To sum up: I'm already trying to think up a plausible excuse to buy another one. Shhhh....
I love my MAC Lipsticks. Often they're unique colours that you don't see from other brands. They're also extremely pigmented and come out on your lips just as they are in the tube. The one criticism I have is that 'Snob' seems to run out really quickly. It applies quite thickly on my lips and I don't know how to avoid it.
Tips: Exfoliate your lips before applying as the thick formula (particularly for satin/matte finishes) will show dead skin.
I recently purchased my first MAC lipstick and I can honestly say it was the best $40 I have ever spent. I chose the shade 'Angel' just because I wanted something neutral and easy to wear for work since I work in a professional environment that wouldn't approve of something as bright as 'Candy Yum Yum'. I love the pigmentation and how easily the slide on and of course how long wearing they are. The vanilla smell of the lipstick also makes it even better. I've tried way to many lipsticks in the past that smell gross and you don't want to be putting something like that on your lips!
Tips: Keep your lips in tip-top shape by regularly applying a good lip balm and using the occasional lip scrub to get rid of any flaky bits so your lipstick looks perfect everytime
