This is a great go to balm when you need a bit of extra colour. I have a matte colour but it is still pretty moisturising. These balms have amazing colour payoff and pigmentation. However they dont last very long on the lips and I find myself having to constantly reapply. Overall a nice easy to use product, but I wouldn't rely on it for any more than simple day to day use.

Tips: Use a lipliner if you dont want it to bleed or rub off super quickly
These are a lot like Clinique chubby sticks. Go on easily like a crayon and last a long time. However I don’t like the shades - they are quite strong/vibrant colours and I was hoping for more of a subtle tint rather then bright colour.
Tips: Don’t apply too much - if you don’t like the shade it’s really hard to get off they stain your lips for ages afterwards. If you don’t a strong colour that lasts you will love them.
I got two for $30 at a farmers sale and was super excited to try them out. Got the colors in Smitten (which I love) and romantic which I wish had a bit more oomph kind of red to it. The balm is moisturizing, not a whole bunch but a good amount to keep the lips from drying out with the stain. I feel as if it would last a good amount of time. The stain color didn't last long at all, I swatched a tester on my hand and a few hours later the stain was still there but it was no longer on my lips which was disappointing considering it's meant to be a stain. I'm not totally sold on them.
I recently purchased one of these crayons after I had already experienced Revlons once bitten lip stain pen = amazing, no smudge, and so long lasting.
In comparison I was disapointed with the balm stain crayons due to the lack of staying power. I liken it to a norishing coloured chap stick more than a lipstick, and I certainly wouldnt say it's a stain - unless that is in reflection that it smudges off onto everything and may leave a stain..... but not on your lips where it is supposed too.
I really wanted a soft nude taupe colour and the closest was 001 Honey, after reading all the great reviews online I had to have it.
But when I got it home and used it, I found it was more of a soft pink and not at all what I thought it was. I now use it under other lippys as a base, because it is so norishing and is a good baser colour, but I wouldn't wear it on it's own as the colour is not falltering for my olive skin tone.
def not a stain.
Bit disappointed really. I love lip stains as they are so easy and last for several hours. Not this one though.
Pros: -Moisturising for dry lips - I have very dry lips -Sheer colour for more casual look - Amazing colour selection
Cons: -Lasts about half an hour! -Colour is not buildable. -Ends up making a weird line of colour outside your lips.
There are matte and gloss versions of the stains. Perhaps I need to try the matte version, as the glossier ones just don't have decent staying power.
Tips: Might need a lip liner
I really like the pigmentation and texture of this balm its very moisturising on the lips, - even the matte texture. the colour selection is great too and I love that the packaging matches the colour making it easy to find.
