I must confess I didn't have high hopes for this product 1. because I've never found Designer Brands products that great and 2. because I got it as a freebie gift with something I brought.
This lip pencil is very standard, quite literally a pencil for the lips. There is a nice selection if colours available although I have not pursued them beyond the one I chose.
In terms of the product on the lips I did not find it that long lasting and it smeared after a little while. The colour also didn't look as good on as it did on the pencil. However it was a very pigmented colour and when paired with a longer lasting product it could create a longer lasting effect. The product was also nice and soft on the lips although like many it became a little drying after a period of time.
I wouldn't bother buying it, because I think lip liners are better. But if you're looking for something cheap and pretty standard it is a good product.
I purchased the 'nude' shade. Whilst this is not hard to apply and is quite creamy and does not drag my issue with this product is the wear time. As soon as this pencil is applied it seems to migrate all over the place so it is definitely not long wearing.
The shade itself isn't particularly flattering on me either but it's more forgivable than the product itself. It is quite a pale peachy pink which seems to look quite un-natural and doesn't really define my lip it just seems to sit on top of my lipline until it melts and moves around my upper lip.
The price of these is decent and they are just a standard wooden pencil with a wooden cap. However I would not recommend.
