Blinging Gloss

I did an order along with a few other girls thatare in an international make up buying group on facebook. I would never singularly make a purchase like this so Im happy to climb on board with others. At the time Gerrard had a three pack deal going. In this deal is one gloss, one lipstick and one liquid matte. I went online to search for lip gloss swatches. From there I decided on my colour. I chose Cocoa Bean.

This lip gloss comes in a sleek rectangular shaped bottle. This gold detailing on this gloss feels luxurious and classy. Its eye catching and Im a sucker for shiny things. Along the side of this lid is a mirror. You could easily use this if you need to do touch ups. The formula of this is smooth. I was surprised at how non sticky this was. It went on like a liquid matte lipstick. I believe the more you layer it thats when it can become tacky. Theres no scent with this which doesn't bother me.

I wore this for a whole day. It did have transfer which I expected with a gloss. I did need to apply after three to four hours wear time. When I first applied this, this glowing light came on. I felt like my gloss wand was a light sword like something from star wars. I couldn't help but giggle to myself.

After using this gloss I definitely want to add more of them into my collection. These glosses feel luxurious. I think this packaging has been well thought of. I would definitely use this again.

Great Gloss

I brought the shade candy kiss because it is shaaanxo's lip gloss she made and I loved the colour of it and had always wanted to try Gerard cosmetics products. I like the packaging of the lip gloss, the gold is very nice and you can clearly see the colour through the tube. I am not a huge fan of the light, it is quite bright but I can see the useful side of having a light on it. I love the gloss, it isn't too sticky and doesn't feel like some of those cheap glosses you can get that are just horrible. I love the colour of it, very natural and you can put it on other lip products to add an extra touch. Definitely keen to try more of their products.

My go-to glosses

I usually steer clear of lip glosses because I find a lot of them drying and messy but after seeing all the rave reviews I had to give them a go.

All lip glosses were purchased from Whitening Lightening and Gerard Cosmetics so I have a mix of old packaging (silver lids) and new packaging (gold lids). They're light-weight and prone to dents and scratches so mine have had better days.

These are my favourite glosses because they're non-drying, stay in place and have amazing pigmentation. The gloss generally last a good 4-5 hours on my lips.

I absolutely hate the lights, I find it distracting. I don't use the mirror but it's good quality just make sure to remove the thin film of plastic. If you can't see your reflection it means the film is still on the mirror. It took me a couple of tries to find the corner of the film for one gloss so don't despair!

Out of the 6 I own I highly recommend Cocoa Bean and Seduction - both bold colours. I used coupon codes to purchase my lip glosses which I receive via email because I'm subscribed to the website.

Tips: I always wear lipliner/lipstick underneath the gloss but if you prefer to just wear the gloss then use a light hand to apply first layer and then add more coats as needed.

Blinding light

I bought a few of these in a deal and I'm not in love with them. I've decided that I am definitely not a gloss girl.

The packing is really annoying. It is a long rectangle with a barely working mirror on one of the sides. Click open the lid and get immediately blinded and poke your face with the stick part and get a sticky face! Hmm, no thanks. I don't like the light feature, and I especially don't like the fact that you can't turn the light off.

The formula isn't sticky, but if it was windy and your hair was down your hair would probably get stuck in it. The product is fairly pigmented, too, which is great. I felt the color bled a lot though, which I really didn't like, and I ended up hating it for that fact alone. I won't be purchasing these again!

Such cute packaging!

These glosses are highly pigmented I own about 10 different shades and love them all, they have great staying power and used in conjunction with their lipsticks give a great long lasting lip colour!

I love their packaging they stand out from anything else I've every brought lipgloss wise, they have a mini mirror, which I have never really used but it's cute and different and there if you need it! Also with its little built in light it makes for a life saver if where you are is poorly lit!

The formula is slightly tacky so if you are not a massive fan of sticky glosses you may not be a fa of these, personally for me once I got use to it I loved the formula I've had worse products where my hair would be blown into my face and would get stuck in my gloss and I'd be walking around looking like I had a beard in my face but luckily these are definitely not the same and not that bad!

Meh

A few months ago there was a discount code to get a bundle of three lipglosses for around $30-ish including shipping. So many YouTubers had been raving about how great these glosses were so I decided to try them out for myself . Firstly I was a bit confused as I'd expected them to all have the same packaging, all three have different packaging. Two have silver lids with the labelling printed in white onto the tube, one is Gerard Cosmetics white the other is branded as Whitening Lightening then the third has a gold lid and the Gerard Cosmetics 'GC' logo printed onto the lid. This isn't a huge deal, I just guess I'd expected them all to be from the same stock. The packaging is okay, I do think it would be more attractive if they were all the same and you had the choice to switch the lights off on the wand which can be a bit distracting.

The formula I feel varies from colour to colour but all three I purchased carry the same scent which smelt familiar but I just couldn't put my finger on what it was until summer rolled around and I had to break out the fly spray again- that's it, their scent reminds me of fly spray but with a slight hint of fruit. It's chemically and very artificially scented, not extremely horrible to the point I can't tolerate it but certainly not appealing to me either.

Coral Craze- The colour is nice but the formulation lets it down big time. Super sticky, gluggy looking/feeling and patchy! I haven't found a way to apply this without looking like I have really dry, chapped patches on my lips.

Butter Cream- This one is a very wearable nude pink shade on me, the formula is nicer than Coral Craze but I do find it sinks into the lines on my lips and gathers there more than I'd like but that could be a lipgloss thing. If I wear a nude lipliner underneath it's not as bad so overall I do like this colour, it's easy to throw on and is easily wearable.

Seduction- A really pretty bold wine colour that pairs stunningly with MAC Rebel, Diva & Nightmoth. I love this shade, the formula is much like Butter Cream in my opinion but I think with it being a darker colour I don't notice is sinking into the lines on my lips as much.

Overall I think these are just glosses, nothing spectacular and certainly not worth the normal RRP!
