This is my current go to liner although I find that the product feathers a bit and doesn't stay in place, It also leaves a bit of a mark on the skin when you apply it and it transfers which sucks but this does a good winged liner aside from the transferring and durability!

Tips: Good for Short time wear!
This was a product that I had seen around for a while, but hadn’t had the funds to purchase it, even though the idea of a gel eyeliner intrigued me. Luckily when I was in Australia mid-last year, I brought this for about $10 for the discount chemist. I love a good bargain, and beauty products just seem to be more affordable in Australia.
When I first brought this, I have to admit, I didn’t like it. It took more time and effort to use than my regular liquid eyeliner so I actually put this in the back of my draw for a few months, and only began reusing it in November last year.
This product comes in a small glass container with a black twist lid. The glass container makes the eyeliner reasonably heavy so its sits easy and safely on any flat surface. It also comes with an eyeliner brush, and this was the brush I used for a bit before using my own eyeliner brush from my Napoleon peredis brush set.
I have this gel eyeliner in Charcoal, even though when I brought it I thought it was the black one so it pays to double check the colour on the bottom on the glass container. The formula looks reasonably dark, and is a dark dark grey, and is almost black. The product is creamy, and had small specks of glitter speckled throughout. These specks are so tiny that they don’t look like big chunks of glitter, but are really subtle and add another dimension to the product.
I find this product reasonably easy to apply, but I have to say it is a bit more time consuming than the regular eyeliner. In saying that, when I use the brush this gel eyeliner comes with, or my own brush, I find I can get this product really close to my lash line, and can achieve either a thin line or a thick line depending on the look I’m going for.
Additionally, a little product is all you need to create the look you want so I know this product will last a long time. Another positive is this eyeliner doesn’t flake off during the day like eyeliners I have used. However, it does wear off, and by the time I get home after a long day at work, the eye liner has moved, and I do have the beginnings of panda eyes. So that is one negative about it.
This product is reasonable. It is affordable, well designed and easy to control. I don’t find that it has long lasting hold and that a pain for me as I like knowing my makeup can last all day.
I will finish this off, and I do find it a reasonable back up when I’m low on my regular eyeliners, but I probably won’t be repurchasing this.
I'm really torn with this particular product. It has so much potential, and that is exactly why I bought it to begin with. I needed more flexibility to draw my liner, and my liquid liner is a bit too thick for that.
It really is a beautiful black, and it does come with a good brush that allows you to do whatever you like. However that's where it ends.
Mine must've had a manufacture error? I doubt it because I've read plenty of other reviews that had the same issue.
It dries up VERY QUICKLY. And once that happens, we all know flaking comes next. It is really annoying because it's not like you left it open over night, it's literally the few minutes you have it open while using it.
I've learnt to blend it with a little bit of makeup remover so it goes on smoother (tiny bit of remover makes it less dry).
I wish and hope they fix it, because I doubt I would ever buy it again!
The formula of the liner was slightly clumpy and the colour wasn't very dark. Therefore I found it slightly overpriced
I purchased this product because I had heard so many good things about it... from friends and you-tubers.
When I used it for the first time, I was actually really disappointed. I found the product to be really dry and clumpy, which made it difficult to work with and create a clean and sharp line (I just want to slay my wing!). I question if I got a bad batch, or if they've altered the formula slightly... I noticed in reviews already written below that some found it super creamy and others experienced to be dry and clumpy like I did. I don't know but damn I wish I had gotten a beautiful creamy one and I could be raving about this product like everyone else.
In saying this, this product does have great longevity and it stays in place like no other so I continue to use this product in hope that I will eventually change my mind, I actually put a drop of face oil into the product to soften the product and found it a lot easier to work with so it's salvageable! I also find its great for applying in the upper and lower lash line and it stays in place even if my eyes water!
There are pro's and con's to this product, therefore a 3/5 and I do think that perhaps I got one from a bad batch because there is a heck of a lot of good feedback on this product... I'm holding out hope still guys!
Tips: Because my formula I found was very dry and clumpy, a small drop of face oil softened up the product and made it a lot easier to work with!
I bought this yonks ago and I must say, while it's far better than a pencil if you want it to last a lot longer, but for me - after a couple of hours, it starts to run.
I've only used the black so haven't managed to get around to any other colours yet, but maybe because the one I'm using is so old, the formula has changed.
Tips: I do the liner with eyeshadow first, then put the gel over top once I've got the line drawn it. I'm far too uncoordinated to do it in gel straight off the bat!
This eyeliner is okay, it's affordable and usable.
The brush I find is not angled enough. A cheap angled brush from The Warehouse worked better for me.
I also found that it dries out really quickly, within the span of the month, it became unusable in conditions where the lid was on and in a dark cool place.
Tips: If it dries out boil some in a pot, put a shallow bowl in the boiling water and put your liner in the bowl. Wait for it to melt a bit and store it somewhere cool like the fridge until set.
I have only used this gel eye liner and not sure if it is just me or the product but I was't really impressed with the color pay off over time and the precision of using it (probably my own fault) only used in a handful of times but tend to lean more towards liquid eye liner as a preference
Tips: Prime and set it with matching eye shadow to preserve colour
I wear gel liner most days. These were the first gel eyeliner I ever used. They are very smooth and easy to apply and get a clean line with a bit of practise. The brush that comes with this product is awesome! And the only thing I use for my gel eye liners. But I find after a few hours this eye liner does tend to slip a little on my skin and it bleeds along creases and doesnt stay where I put it. So I use the black if I want to blend and make a smudgy black eye. I now use the bobbi brown gel liners if i want a clean defined cat eye. It is more expensive but super staying power. It is a thicker product and slightly harder to apply and dries alot faster than the maybelline so not as easy to blend out or smudge. I use the brown gel with a brow brush as a brow filler. Works great! So I will continue to buy the brown for my brows. And the black to blend out for a less defined look. But if the bobbi brown gel isnt in your budget. These are the next best thing.
Tips: Keep the brush handy. I find I use it alot
I liked this liner it stayed put for a decent amount of time however I found that the gel seemed to dry up after a while. I really like the packaging as it is made out of glass with a plastic lid. It does come with a brush which I found worked well.
It is quite a thick gel liner but it has very good pigmentation. I didn't notice any unpleasant smell when using this gel liner.
Tips: Wash the brush after you use for it otherwise it becomes cakey.
