e.l.f Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter

As a sufferer of dark under eye circles I was hoping for a miracle with this product; however I was left disappointed. First off, the concealer is alright- I found it gave a fairly sheer coverage that was buildable, but it didn't cover my under eye darkness well. The highlighter is a nice eyeshadow primer but I barely use it. Overall its an alright product but I would not recommend it to those with quite severe under eye darkness.

The highlighter to begin.....hmm not quite sure what we are going to highlight with that, it clumpy and i find it doesnt blend and a bit too glittery!!

The concealer.... i actually dont mind it for an inexpensive product i found it done the job pretty good, it blends out very easily and nicely dries reasonably quick.

Maybe I got the wrong colour for me but this did not blend well on my skin. The concealer was too light for my skin. And the highlighter would come across looking scaley and making my skin look dry. It was cheap and I got it as a quick fix to my absent highlighter problem. Good to have as a back up

The concealer has no coverage and did not brighten infact it kind of vanished when blended in very watery formula the highlighter too was just odd I actually gave it to my daughter she's 13 and she loves it however she has no bags or fine lines she likes the highlighter I think this is all this product is good for teens just getting into makeup.

I was so happy to try this product but when I applied the highlighter to my face it went patchy about 2 hours later, it may have been the way i applied the product. The reason why i wouldn't use this again is because the Concealer didn't have a very good coverage. It just didn't cover any of my blemishes so i was really disappointed in this product

i have so many elf products and this is the only one i really dislike. the concealer is just horrible. its so thin/liquidy and just slides all over your face. its not longwearing at all! i found it settles into dry patches and made them look worse.

the highlighting side isn't as bad i sometimes use it in my inner eye corner to highlight. although it doesnt make up for the concealer :( wouldnt recommend....

I brought this little sucker from KMART for pennies! I was very excited about having a double product, conceal and highlight all in one and being ELF, even more super excited to try it out.

The highlighter, first off is AMAZING, it is on level par with Watts up from Benefit in my honest opinion.

And that is the best part of the concealer. I tried this concealer under my eyes and on blemishes.

I found it did not hide my under eye circles well enough without caking on layers of the product which eventually creased on me.

I think the product is perhaps a little to watery and if it was thicker the end result might be a little better :)

However for the price it truly is amazing and great for anyone starting out or wanting to buy cheaper alternatives :)

While this is a very blendable concealer it cakes and sets into the fine lines under my eyes every single time no matter what I do! I prime my undereyes, use my foundation, put an undereye moisturiser on, use the concealer then immediately set it but it still cakes!

It doesn't really cover the dark circles either - you'd probably need to use a tone correcting concealer before this one to effectively cover them up.

The highlighter has literal specks of glitter in it so I never use it. It is a nice colour though so that's a bummer. I don't know what E.L.F's obsession with glitter is but they always ruin products with it (probably something to do with how cheap it is).

I wouldn't purchase it again and I've pretty much stopped using my one.

I was super excited to try this as the concealer had swatched almost perfect to my skin tone on my hand, but I was super disappointed.

The concealer was super runny and had less coverage than my Garnier BB Cream and the highlighter was just a white paste with tonnes of glitter in it.

I have only ever used the highlighter again, and that was literally to make my arms and chest all glittery when I went out.

Only purchase if you like glitter.

This was the first concealer I ever tried and at the time I didn't think it was too bad. Since then I've tried many different concealers and I've realised that this e.l.f. concealer did hardly anything. I purchased this many years ago, before highlighters were a big deal like they are today. So I didn't use the highlighter side of this very often, but from what I remember it only had a very slight shimmer to it. Sometimes I would use it to try and brighten my under-eye area, but it never did anything that noticeable.

Both the concealer and the highlighter were very thin and almost watery in consistency. It almost feels like it should be marketed as a BB cream with light coverage, not a concealer that is meant to be more full coverage. Because it was so thin, it was always very easy to blend into my skin. I used this concealer on my under-eye area to cover a small sun spot and any darkness caused by tiredness. No matter how much I applied it was never able to cover the sun spot up. The only thing it did was add a bit of colour to my skin. My foundation did a better job of concealing my skin than this concealer did.

The price of this was very good for a product where you get both a highlighter and a concealer. But this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for. It just wasn't an effective product so I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to a friend.
