Cameo teasing brush

I got this in a BRBB and put it to the side. I fight to keep knots out of my hair than put them in, so not my ideal product but in the interest of testing it I did.

Once removed from its cardboard backing the bright pink brush has a long pointy separator at one end and a 3 row set of bristles to tease with. Taking a length of hair I moved the brush up my hair to tease. The resulting was something that I was please with. The teasing was gentle with the brush and gave a nice little lift for the hair that I put over the bump. Once I had had enough I use the brush to slowly take out the teased hair. I did find a use for it however by spraying the bristles with hairspray and tidying the straggling short hairs when doing high ponytails or other styles where my hair is well off my face. Not quite what the manufacturer had planned but works for me. I also found out that if I don't wash my hair and let all the natural oils go through, it works like a normal hair brush but smaller. I might try that with an oil hair mask at some point.

Not something I would repurchase even as a gift but I would look at other cameo items based on this one.

I don't get it! but...

I have to admit when I opened my BRBB I had no idea why this brush was shaped the way it is, I did know however that I liked the spike and thought that I needed one (not completely sure why at the time).

So I used the brush to smooth my hair after I put it up in a pony tail... win!! no fly-aways... great brush... can I review it yet... uh.. no! why?! because it's not what it's used for mainly... ok, so it's teases ahhh right, ok... I don't tease my hair so that's why I had zero clue. Now I had to ask myself... do I want to tease my hair? short answer is No! but I did it anyway... because it wouldn't be fair to review it without proper use right?! Alright, so I teased... um... lets just say it works... kind of, my hair is very fine and even with texture powder in it doesn't stay where it should, and slid back to normal quite quickly.

The one saving grace for this brush is sectioning for colouring. It works well and I can smooth any strays in easily. So I found a home for it with my Fudge colours kit.

It's not the sort of brush everybody needs but it has it's uses. I am sure I will find more ways to utilize it in the future.

Not a must have..

This was a product I received (as most of you) in the last beauty box, and I won’t lie.. When I first saw it I was like ‘what is it’? After a bit of research I found out this tool is basically made for teasing your hair. Pretty much what is said on the packet.

It comes with a slender pink plastic handle which has a point at one end. This end is great for separating sections of hair, when doing a quiff or any other hairstyle that looks better with even lines! The other end is the brush which is made of thick bristles that are reasonably tightly packed in a straight line. This is the end used for teasing.

I haven’t really used this tool myself mostly because I am super lazy with my hair. I rarely wear it tied up and just leave it down to do its own thing. I have found the pointed end helpful for certain hair styles, and its great when doing my nieces hair too.

Personally I don’t have much use for the bristle end of this brush because like i said my hair is mostly worn down. Also my hair is super thick already so it doesn’t need much teasing or anything like that for volume.

Overall, this is not a tool I need in my life, but it would benefit those of you who give your hair the TLC it deserves as well as those who want to add volume to your hair.

Not for me!

I got this in one of the BRBB and thought really? Handbag brush maybe? Then as I used it and decided I hated it I started reading reviews.

Ok so it's meant to tease your hair. Well yes it does that. Am I wowed? No way! Like honestly isn't teased hair a thing of the past? So off poking for the positive reviews I go to see what's the bid deal here! OK so tease to add body. When my hair was long I tried this and it didn't work very well. Now my hair is short it's to short for this. I also see people loving for fly aways. So tried for this as well.

Nope Na no way. Sorry weird brush I'm just not able to love or even like you.

a miss for me

I didn't really understand how I would use this when it appeared in a BRBB and I was right - it's just not for me.

A hard pink plastic brush with short black close set bristles, this just causes my super fine hair to go frizzy. I may well be using it incorrectly, as it appears to be (as the title says) a TEASING brush....but as I don't usually have frizzy hair, hate the feel of teased hair, and and adore my usual hairbrush, I'm not really inclined to keep trying - but everything's worth at least one go :)

I will be giving mine away... i don't think it's a fault with the brush itself, simply a mismatch between my hair, my look and the brush. No hard feelings, cameo :)
