The grains in this are quite irritating and actually scratch the skin - it is a very effective scrub for arms and body but it will rip your skin apart. I have dry sensitive skin and I actually use Avons clearskin acne range scrub with no issues it is packed with small rounded beads unlike the big pieces of crushed walnut shell in this Apricot scrub. Alternatively the St Ives olive range scrub is alot kinder on the face than this product.

Tips: Good for scrubbing arms, elbows and dry knees but not your face!
I love exfoliators! I think they serve an important part in every womans skincare routine. St Ives has a great reputation but I did find this scrub a little bit harsh for my skin and I do prefer exfoliators which have smaller grains in them. Having said that, it does smell really nice and does make your skin feel clean, but I don't think I would re buy.
Tips: Buy a sample size first if you can!
I am surprised this product has not got a higher rating. I have used this product for many years now and it is has always given me amazing results. I use it 2-3 times a week and it leaves my skins polished and silky smooth. It also makes your makeup look amazing as there is a fresh layer of skin underneath. I also use this product on my knees, elbows etc before I apply fake and it just makes sure that the tan goes on evenly. The product is natural so good for sensitive skin.
Tips: you only need a really small amount and should last for months
This scrub is a great pre-tan exfoliant. The beads can be quite rough so I would not recommend using it on your face or areas of overly sensitive skin but elsewhere (legs, arms, etc.) it's great. The formula is quite creamy despite the rough beads so a little does go a long way and, unlike other exfoliants I have tried, it doesn't leave my skin red and irritated afterwards. The scrub does have a pleasant smell, more of a subtle fruity scent than a strong apricot one, I also don't find that the scent lingers after being washed off. Overall I really like this scrub, it leaves my skin super smooth without irritation and you only have to use a small amount each time you scrub!
Tips: Use before you fake tan, makes it last much longer and your skin feels super soft!
I use St Ives products a lot, and this is not an exception. I find it has a lovely subtle fragrance, not too hars, as others may be.
I had reviewed this when I first joined BR, and had said that it didn't smooth over skin as well as other scrubs I had tried, but it is a good gentle scrub, and using constantly, does make a difference to your skin's appearance, and brings through the younger, fresher skin.
Its cheap enough to use often, and is definitely worth the cost. Easy to use, and overall, pretty good.
This was a hard product to rate as I have purchased it multiple times - but not for what it is meant for! I use this as a body scrub, particularly in Summer, prior to fake tan. It's great for getting my skin really smooth.
I definitely don't use this for my face as I find it too harsh and granular. I certainly wouldn't use it 3-4 times a week as recommended on the packaging! I have dry skin and I only exfoliate once a week.
I like the smell and the results on the rest of my body. The price is completely reasonable and I really like that it is available from the supermarket - very convenient purchasing!
I do like this product as an exfoliant for my body, especially in preparation for applying fake tan. It easily sloughs off the dry skin, leaving smooth skin.
However, as others have commented I find this way too harsh for the sensitive skin on my face.
Overall, a reasonable priced, good exfoliant for the body.
This is a great exfoliator for your body or dry elbows, knees and heels. This should not be recommended for the face as the 'scub' is actually walnut shells which causes micro tears in the skin. whether you have sensitive skin or not this is damaging the skin on the face. On a plus side it does smell devine!!!
I have oily skin and need a good scrub once a week. This is great value for money and works really well. I find most scrubs are great for the delicate spots but not for the skin that really needs the scrub. Make sure you give your skin a good moisturise afterwards though.
Tips: Don't use this on delicate skin - it is pretty strong. Use a good moisturiser afterwards
I've always used this exfoliating scrub and I've always loved it. I normally give a good scrub before a night out (only once a week at the most) and it gives a fantastically soft and smooth feeling. It's lush. And so cheap. A beauty must have!!
Tips: Don't exfoliate more often than once a week. Especially of you have sensitive skin. You don't want to strip your skin of all its goodness.
