MAC Eye Kohl Review

Very soft pencil liner! Wouldn't want to use too much as it is so soft it goes all smudgy. Its definitely the best black eyeliner I've ever found.

MAC Eye Kohl definitely does what it says, it is soft and glides on effortlessly. The thing I like the best about this pencil is how easy it is to create sexy smokey eyes. Because of the smudgeability and the depth of colour, I wear it without using eye shadow, I just blend the colour along my lids and it looks great. I have a few different colours so normally end up blending a dark blue with black (or dark brown).It's easy to use on upper and lower lids and with the striking colours available you can achieve some awesome looks without eyeshadow.

This little beauty is a must have in. I am always trying out a new eyeliner but can't function without my MAC Eye Kohl in Smoulder.

I like a eyeliner pencil to be easy to apply, it doesn't drag on the skin or smudge everywhere. I find that "Smoulder" is the best black eyeliner I have used, it's perfect.

The best part about this Eyeliner is it stays put all day, and at the end of the day when my face get's washed off, the eyeliner comes off with a breeze. Nothing like having to wash your eyes over and over to remove stubborn black eyeliner.

I have this pencil in smouldering which is a dark black. Is is really smudge so perfect for blending out or laying down as a base for a smokey look. The packaging is just your standard black chic mac packaging and it is expensive, more than the $20 quoted by br above. It is an awesome product but at the end of the day a lot of cheaper brands make a good black kohl pencil too.

Mac has the best eye kohls I have tried. They are long lasting, easy to put on and they easy to blend with. I have the kohls in a few colour and they all have a every good pigment pay off and smouldering (black) is very deep and dark so a little goes a long way.

I've tried lots of kohl pencils over the years and this one come out tops by far. I always use it on the waterline and am completely happy with how it looks, how it lasts so well and in fact I can't find anything that isn't good about it! I'm currently using Ebony which isn't quite so black and looks good with a lighter application of eye makeup.It is easy to clean off at the end of the day. Like many good products, it does cost a little more but the quality is great as with all Mac make up!

I LOVE this kohl pencil by Mac! This is by far the best I have tried hands down. It defines my eye so well, easy to apply and easy to remove. I defiantly recommend this for a smooth application every time. Very easy to smudge and it blends really well. Its an absolute must have for the perfect smokey eye!

Over the years I have tried many eye pencils, but I always come back to the Mac Khol pencil. I have very dark eyes and and can pull off a very smoky look and this pencil is just the best for this. I use it on the waterline and my eyelid. You can make the line thick or thin very easily and it is soft enough that you don't need to keep going over your line, which is perfect for unsteady hands like mine!

I find that it is very soft and goes on easily. The one I have is very dark so it's perfect to use on my lids before applying a liquid eyeliner for a more dramatic look.

I've only tried it a couple of times on it's own and it doesn't work for me. After a few hours I end up with panda eyes and creases.

On an average day I use it under my eyes and use a small eyeshadow brush to smudge and blend, when I use this method it stays on all day and I love it.

I don't find it all that easy to remove, once I've used an eye make-up remover and done a basic cleanse I have to go back over with makeup remover as there is usually still a bit lurking between my eyelashes.

Great for a smokey eye look.

I bought these from MAC a long time ago, back when I thought MAC was the best makeup brand and didn't buy anything else. The packaging on these is nothing special, just the usual sized pencil with a black lid. I find both the pencils I own last a long time (all day) around my eye, but don't last very long in the waterline. They are creamy to apply and don't drag across the lid when applying. I do think these are extremely expensive for what they are, but as I explain below I would still repurchase Teddy, but not Fascinating.

Teddy; This is a bronzy (but not glittery) brown colour which is my favourite for everyday. I find if you put a thicker line on then smudge it out you can get a lovely smokey look (this was a tip from the sales-lady when I bought this). Mainly I end up doing this when I accidentally do my liner too thick. But for most days I just do a thin line across my lash line to compliment my brown eyeshadow. I find that brown looks much softer on my eyes than black since I am so pale. I love this colour and would recommend it to anyone. I have used quite a bit of it and imagine I will repurchase when I run out.

Fascinating; This is a plain white eye pencil. I bought this to use in the inner corner of my eye and in the waterline to brighten my eye, and it does brighten my eye. Why I thought that I should buy such an expensive one I don't know. I haven't used that much of this and if I did run out I don't think I would repurchase, this colour is dupe-able by so many other cheaper brands.
