Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

I was looking forward to trying this product as I've never really bought any Garnier products before. Firstly, I love the packaging and love that the bb cream has a flip top lid, it's easy to access and the tube is easy to clean if you are applying with your fingers etc. My skin tone is around NW20 so very light and when I squeezed out the product, it was quite a bit darker than what I was used to. I am not a huge fan of strong smelling products particularly moisturisers as I get hayfever really bad and it can just make it so much worse. If there was a no fragrance option that would be great. The BB cream is quite a thick consistency but it did blend out quite well and gave a nice sheen to the skin. It didn't last all day but with a translucent powder or mineral powder it may help prolong it. Price wise this is good value for money. I don't think I will buy this again, the smell was too much for me and the "light" shade was too dark for me. I will definitely give other garnier products a go though. :)

Lately I've been having good skin days, but I've only had the heavy coverage BB creams and foundations (or oil-free/matte and dried out my skin too much), so I wanted to try a BB cream for normal skin types and Garnier is a safe choice as I always liked their products. I choose the light shade as I use lighter shades in winter and medium in the summer.

The packaging is nice and easy to use, nothing special to say about it, handy squeeze tube, so easy to control how much product I'd like to get out.

I love the consistency, it is very nice and creamy, very hydrating, so no need to use moisturizer underneath, it's the first BB cream I can do this as all the others were just sitting in my fine lines and made me look like a zombie with flaky skin if I tried to use them on their own. So it's definitely a plus. Also, it makes my skin glow very nicely, it doesn't look oily, just nice and dewy fresh-faced upon applying, however a couple of hours later my face turns into an oil-slick.

Its fragrance is nice and flowery, perfume is pretty high on the list, so I wouldn't try it on sensitive skin, but it didn't irritate mine at all and I've been using it for over a week daily.

It didn't clog my pores, didn't cause any breakouts, this is another plus on the list.

Sadly, the coverage is very sheer, I need to apply a second coat to hide some of my redness and scars, so there goes the time saved by skipping moisturizer, not great at all. It is more similar to a tinted moisturizer than a BB cream because of this issue.

It only lasts for a short period of time, at the end of the day I always looked like I'd be bare-faced, no make-up whatsoever, this BB cream just disappeared into thin air!

I will still use it on weekends or when I don't need my "face" to last a long time and on "very good skin days".

I have been testing out the Garnier BB Cream - Medium over the last 5 days and have had really positive results. My skin type is quite oily with the odd dry patch, I have mostly clear skin with the occasional big pimple. I found the BB Cream to be quite creamy with a great consistency, the colour was very easy to see when taken from the tube. I found the cream easy to apply but did find that it stuck to the dry patches on my skin. The fragrance was lovely but I would prefer if it didn't have one as I do have sensitive skin and try to avoid anything with a fragrance. I found the BB cream to have great "weekend" cover, enough to hide my bad bits but not enough for me to want to go to work during the week, I did find that I went over the product with a powder afterwards as it had quite a shine to it. The only negative I would have is I felt the product didn't stick to my face very well, I found when I touched my face often my hands were left with makeup on them and when I checked in the mirror after a few hours I felt quite exposed and didn't feel like I had enough makeup on. The felt the packaging was fine, it didn't wow me and I certainly wouldn't stop in my tracks to look at it in the supermarket.

Overall I thought the product was really good for a cheaper supermarket brand, I would defiantly continue to use this product on the weekends and on days that I wanted to wear less makeup.

I have ' Normal ' skin and got the BB cream in 'LIGHT'

The packaging was ok nothing to fancy but explained everything I needed to know about the product.

When i first saw the colour of the cream I thought it was going to be to dark for my skin, but when I applied it it blended nicely and gave me a slight tan kind of look.

I tried it with and without primer under it. I preferred to have my primer on first before apply the BB cream as I found it went on more smoothly with the primer underneath.

The consistency of the cream was thick but when you apply it it goes on nice and smoothly and leaves a light feel on your skin. I found I only needed a small amount to colour my face, but found that the coverage itself wasn't enough for me so once it had dried I applied some more and found this to cover my blemishes better.

I found it didn't last as long as I would like it to, I found myself apply more in the afternoon.

I think the BB cream would be great for me during the day when I don't have time to put on a full face of makeup but I personally wouldn't be using it at night time as I would want more coverage, which this doesn't give me.

I tried applying it with both my finger & a brush and found that apply with a brush made it blend more evenly.

The smell is pleasant and not to over powering like some BB creams I have tried before.

I would recommend to anyone that doesn't have time to put on a full face of makeup and just wants to wear something light.

I have tried this product before the review invite an I didn't like it so I never brought it again, upon this invite I decided to give it one more shot I'm a mother of two children ages 5 an 1 years. It's great for a quick fix of moisturiser an foundation at the same time when your in a hurry like I am most mornings. Before I thought it was oily but now I find it's fine weird I know, I'd defiantly use again.

This is a lovely cream. Great for busy people because it doubles as moisturiser yet is light enough for those who don't like liquid foundation. Unfortunately doesn't cover my pigmentation but is great to wear on weekends instead of full work-face makeup.

I was excited to be on the trail team as this is my first bb cream. I have fairly normal skin with not so oily T-zone but suffer from odd breakout usually around my chin and nose. I chose the Medium shade which I found was a little dark and orange for me but still better than the Light shade which would be way too light. I found even though it seems to be of a thick consistency it spread quite easily. I used my finger tips to apply the cream to my face and neck. It was easy to blend into the skin and found it did help to even out my skintone. The fragrance is light and fresh which doesn't linger on. It has build-able light-medium coverage. I love how it has SPF 15 too.. I tried with primer underneath and found the color showed up as more orangey. I noticed when applied it looks shiny and greasy but once it's all dried it doesn't feel like it. It lasted all day for me and washes off really easily with warm water. Packaging is ok..doesn't stand out to me. The actual container is simple to use, however I found it got a bit messy around the opening of the tube.

Overall I think it is very good value for money and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a light-medium coverage BB cream. My only gripe is the orange tint it leaves behind on my skin.

If you're looking for a BB cream which gives light coverage and blurs imperfections, then this a great choice. This product has a thick and creamy texture which absorbs into the skin easily. The perfect product to give your face a bit of a lift on those days where you still want light coverage but not a full face of make-up.

Over the last few years I have found my self trying a few Garnier products. When they release there BB creams the first thing that attracted me was the price and that I could purchase it at a number of shops not just a chemist etc. Upon using this BB cream, the first thing I disliked was the texture. It was to thick for my liking, how ever, after a few attempts I have learnt to right ammount to use for my skin. When I first tryed it, I must have used to mush as it felt oily and messy on my skin. I found that less really is more with this product. When I have applied small amounts and built it up, I have been very satisfied with the results. I find it helped to even my skin-tone and gave it a subtle healthy glow. I tried it under my usual daily makeup and found that my midday my makeup was a oily mess and would not recommend it for that reason. I did enjoy wearing it with just a powder on top for a not made up look. I found that with the powder atop, by the end of the day my makeup still looked fairly natural. For this reason I would recommend this for people who wear minimal makeup or for teens who are starting their makeup journeys. I know Garnier make another BB cream that comes in a taller and skinner tube and personally prefer that one, as it is more liquid and applies and blends better on me. I think that they could repackage the product and aim it maybe at the youth market as I believe this product would be better for their skin. Over all, whilst it took me a while to get used to and I personally wont run out and by it, I would recommend it to people with dryer skin, as it is quite thick it may help?
