This lip balm is great depending on which one you buy. I have the mint one (light blue with white strips) and it is amazing! Hydrating and lasts. So then I got another one, passionfruit (plain purple) and it was nowhere near as hydrating or long lasting. Personally would only buy one if you wanted to follow the trend but otherwise, there are better lip balms out there.

Tips: Be careful which scent you buy. Don't buy if you get dry lips easily. Sorta over hyped product.
EOS lip balms were such a hype few years ago and I had been wanting to try it, so a friend gave it to me for my birthday. I had a berry one with a light pink casing. It had a nice fruity scent and it’s in a spherical shape, which I thought was pretty cool.
I used it like any other lip balm and worked best on exfoliated lips. My lips felt smooth and moisturised afterwards. That feeling was long lasting, but I had to reapply in between food and drinks, which was expected of a lip balm. In saying that, even after eating and drinking, my lips didn’t dry out as I had thought it would. The only problem was the shape of the EOS lip balm made it awkward to apply on my lips and often the sides felt dryer than the other parts of my lips because I couldn’t apply it to the sides properly.
Overall, I think the formula of the lip balm is great, but the spherical shape is more of a novelty than a practicality.
Tips: Exfoliate the lips for better results
I have a couple of these and ill admit i was drawn in because i saw a few celebs using them i am a sucker for anything Kim K uses....and i really loved them but after a while i just stopped using them i found they were super drying and ended up hurting my lips more then helping, love the packaging but that is about it now i am well over them, i prefer just to stick to trusty Nivea lip balms love them!
The eos lipbalms are really cute and the packaging is so cool! They are overyhyped though because it's not as moisturizing as other lipbalms.
I love these for the fact that they are a cute idea and smell amazing! They are super fun and it's always cool getting one out around people who haven't heard or seen them before. The formula isn't overly great, i'd much rather reach for other lip balms that I own if I need something to be nourishing. Because the formula is so thin, it is nice to have as a base under drying lipsticks. I think I paid around $15 for my one and I think that is quite overpriced for what it is and don't see myself repurchasing.
When I first heard about EOS, I was so excited to try their range of lip balms. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus have endorsed them, and the packaging is SO cute and unlike anything else! I bought a 4 pack which contained Pomegranate Raspberry, Strawberry Sorbet, Fresh Watermelon and Summer Fruit. They all look, smell and taste yummy, but as far as the functionality of the product itself goes, I'm not 100% sold. I don't find the formula particularly hydrating and I have to keep reapplying as my lips dry out again quickly. I don't think I'll be buying them again.
Tips: They're more than 3 times more expensive here in NZ than in the states, so I would recommend buying online.
I was really excited to try these out so I purchased one and it didn't really live up to all the hype. I have friends who swear by these but unfortunately they just don't really do it for me. I will use mine until it's finished though, but I probably won't re-purchase...
I think the packaging is the best thing about these lip balms. They are super cute and I love that they are organic/natural so you don't feel like you are putting chemicals all over your lips. I was disappointed that they weren't as moisturising as I thought they would be. The product glides on smoothly and feels nice for about half an hour but then my lips can feel quite dry again. At night before I go to sleep I like to use a super moisturising balm to rehydrate my lips and this one just doesn't cut it.
I purchased the mint one of these, I do love the colour and the tingling on the lips the mint provides. The downside is that it smells a bit like anaesthetic to me! I recently had surgery and it brings back too many memories I think. Might have to give one of the fruity ones a go next time.
Tips: As these provide quite light moisturisation and aren't greasy I really like applying them before matte lipsticks so that any dryness on the lips doesn't show up.
I was expecting more from this lipbalm. I heard so many great things about it so when I was in America I purchased one, but I found the product to be quite dry. The packing is cute at first glance but it makes for a difficult application.
I have this in 2 flavours lemon drop and summer fruit. The packaging is extremely cute, but not very practical. It is quite bulk and takes up a lot of space so I always find myself leaving it at home. The scents are not overpowering and they smell very nice. It is not one of the most moisturising formulas that I have come across, and I find that it is only good if you're lips are in a okay-ish state; but if your lips are flaky and dry then they're not going to be of much help.
Also, these are not readily available in NZ and can be quite expensive to source online, so once the novelty of it wore off, it wasn't anything too special.
