Have you tried solid perfumes before?  If not, you're missing out on a great alternative to traditional spray fragrances!

Solid perfumes generally begin as a wax, which is melted and fragranced with essential oils and other scents, before being brought to a creamy solid texture.  To apply you simply use your finger, or a cotton swab to gently rub the product in the areas you'd like to smell good; for example your pulse points.

So why choose a solid perfume?  Here's a few of the benefits:

  • Control of application - no more over spraying like a teenage boy!
  • Portability - no more spills and they're generally alcohol-free aeroplane friendly :)
  • They're kinder to sensitive skin
  • There is no initial 'over-powering' scent

And we've found a great solid perfume for one lucky trial team - what better way to bring the relaxing spirit of the Pacific to your home?  This will be the perfect treat to finish a pampering session!

We're looking for 10 members to put Pacific Perfume's Pacific Goddess Solid Perfume to the test!  These gorgeous alcohol-free perfumes are created from essential oils and fragrances blended into a creamy solid base of jojoba, sweet almond oils and Beeswax. They are proudly certified Cruelty Free.

Pacific Goddess is from the original range of Solid Perfumes that are inspired by the beauty and essence of Aotearoa and the South Pacific.  Inspired by the mysticism of the female deities in the Pacific, Pacific Goddess is strong, creative and nurturing. Dramatic Alahehe, Goddess of Love; Hina, Goddess of the Moon, Patroness of Travelers; and Papatuanuku, the Earth Mother of all. Born of volcanic mythical legends, this wonderful blend is our most popular solid perfume fragrance. Test the waters! Its both soft and intensely rich, full of spicy yet delicate vanilla extracts.  They're encased in sustainable beech pots, that are completely secure and great for traveling.

So if you'd like to put your hand up to try this fragrance why not tell us your experiences with solid perfume.  Is it something you've tried, or even use regularly?  Or have you never even heard of them?

No I have never tried one before, wonder if it lasts longer. Always use a spray and that's a pain when travelling. The containers look so natural, keen to try one as we travel a lot and would just pop in your bag easily.

The only experience I've ever had with solid perfumes is from good old Karma. I adored that scent back in the day, and it still seems to be really popular now! I love the idea of a solid scent, however I don't seem to come across them as readily as the traditional sprays. A solid scent makes so much more sense though (try saying that after a few wines lol). I really love that this one is cruelty free, the packaging looks stunning and the scent description sounds devine - I would love to try this out!

My experience with solid perfume was from way back when I was a child and my mother had one that she let me use. I haven't actually noticed them for sale as an adult so would love to give this one a try!

I have one that I use in summer as it's a frangipani scent. It's lovely - not cloying and really easy to wear. I've also bought a couple from Etsy & they are divine as well. I love me a bit of perfume & I really like that it's available in different forms.

I have never used a solid perfume before but think they are a great idea... except the application part... I love to apply in a hurry so a quick spray usually works for me but I could be swayed ;)
