I love using these shatter nail polishes but personally, they arent the same OPI quality as the rest of the nail polishes. They are worth the money, dry quickly and last a fair bit of time. They aren't my favorite nail polishes but i prefer them over some others

I have the black and white version of this product and really enjoyed using them when they were in "in".
The polishes definitely did what they were meant to do - shatter however it look me a bit of getting used to. A thin layer gives more "shatters" where a thicker layer gives only a couple of lines which I preferred. The only downside I found was if you messed up a nail you had to start all over again.
Tips: Always apply a top coat to give a nice shine. Due to the number of layers your nails will take forever to dry so be careful or you will need to start over if they get smudged!
Was excited to try it as it looks great in pictures. But I found it look messy and a little like I had leprosy instead of the classy elegant finish I expected. I'm a huge OPI fan but won't use the shatters again
I bought a couple of these when it was all the rage a couple of years ago. I have the black and white. I find that you have to wait ages for your first base coat colour to dry before even thinking about adding the shatter polish over the top. The formula is okay, never had any clumping issues and one quick swish was usually sufficient to get a decent crackling look. Top coat is an absolute must as one few times I went without they felt rough and chipped after only a day or so. I have no problems with this type of OPI polish but I guess it's become a bit outdated in terms of nail trends. In recent months i've used the black once on a feature nail which I think tones down the look a bit.
Tips: Try an intense glitter polish underneath the shatter, it looks really cool :)
These are good but fair warning, its better over nail polish that has been there for a few days and has time to properly harden. The shatter doesn't really do its thing very well if you do it as soon as the underneath colour has dried.
Tips: Its a good way to renew nail polish that has started to chip and crack without having to repaint your nails!
this opi nail polish goes thick very fast and also will dry if bottle is left open too long. I myself am not a big fan of shatter but out of all shatter once put on this has to be one of the better ones to use
At my local Warehouse they had these for two dollars as parallel imports so I bought the gold and the silver. I wasn't sure how to feel about the quality because even though I really like OPI as a brand, the cheap price seemed a little too good to be true. And it was. The shatter started cracking and chipping after about a day and I could actually just scratch my nails and the polish would fall off. Definitely not up to OPI's usual standard but at least I didn't waste too much money.
I was so excited to get this nail polish, but was quite disappointed at the results! It took me a few tries to realize that the base coat has to be COMPLETELY dry otherwise it warps and sort of shatters as well. Would be a good idea to do base coat in the morning then later that day do shatter coat or something? If you like this effect its well worth it, but make sure you take the time to do it properly!
Tips: Make sure bottom coat is completely dry first!
These Nail polish are very cool and I love the idea. I love the colour range and that some are sparkly and some not. There are so many possibilities of what you can do with this product but so little time to put them into action! This nail polish sadly dries up very fast. With this nail polish you have to make sure the bottom coat is very dry because otherwise it won't work well making painting your nails with this polish quite a long process.
Tips: Make sure the bottom coat is very dry.
This polish was so pricey! At $25 per bottle, I was expecting to have a really good application and experience with it. I used Silver Shatter.
Well, it wasn't really. After a few uses, it went very clumpy, which made it impossible to apply. I was very sad about this, as I felt it went with so many colours and looked pretty good.
Overall, for the price you pay it's criminal how bad the quality is. I have tried OPI nudes and reds, and I loved them, but this range really let me down.
Tips: There are plenty of brands in the two dollar shops that do the same thing for only $3-$5. CAIRUO or Jordana would be a good place to start.
