Meh

I think the main reason I don't love this, I'd because of the screw top tub. In my bathroom this means it gets wet. The product is gloopy and I feel like it slides right off my skin when I put it on. It also leaves the shower floor slippery

Tips: I prefer other scrubs with better staying power and less slippery formulas.

Hooked!

I am soooo in love with this scrub! It comes in the usual black Lush packaging, and it's a brilliant blue colour when you lift the lid.

The scent is definitely citrus-y, it smells really fresh and inviting. It's a great wake-me-up when you use it in your morning shower!

It goes on easily, and has a nice scrub power to it. Personally I like a more grainy scrub, and I find that the Rub Rub Rub is a good consistency and grainy-ness.

What I really love about it - it has staying power! It works really nicely as a moisturiser, and my skin feels soft afterwards, and the beautiful scent does linger in a nice way for at least most of the morning.

The only thing I'd say I didn't love about this scrub - I find that I use a lot. This isn't a product where 'a little goes a long way'. That being said, it isn't too expensive, and it lasts a decent amount of time for the price.

Tips: Warning: This may seem like a no-brainer... but this is NOT the ideal scrub to use after shaving your legs! That saying 'rub salt in the wound'? Yeah, that's a thing :) I learned the hard way (I'm used to sugar scrubs!)

There are better products

I got this product as a part of a Lush gift box. I am still not sure what I really think of it. It smells nice: fresh, summer-y and clean. And it is great for exfoliating your skin.

I wasn't so fond of how liquid-y it was - it made it quite difficult and messy to use in the shower. The main reason for not rating this product higher is that there are other Lush products that I find do the same job better/work better on my skin.

Tips: Ask for a sample next time you are in Lush - best to try before you buy.

Love Love Love Rub Rub Rub

I love love love Rub Rub Rub lol. I have super sensitive and dry skin and this is perfect. Isn't too harsh on my skin and wow my skin feels so moisturised after using it. It smells so good, I think its lemon, but its not overpowering. And that bright blue colour, talk about a funky colour for a scrub. The salt isn't massive either, its more in between Rock Salt and you're standard table salt. If you haven't tried this, then you need to, you are missing out.

Also if you're not familiar with Lush, they spoil you even more when you take five empty pots back and they reward you with a free face mask, how awesome is that xx

Update: Onto my second tub of this now, still loving it and I have also been using it on my face, and it really leaves it super clean and has cleared up my skin, I've had no pimples for well over a week and its looking better than ever.

Tips: If you live near a Lush Shop, then I would recommend going in and asking for a sample, they are really lovely and helpful.

Gentle exfoliation

I got the 130g tub in one of the gift sets for Christmas and it’s been a delight to use however it’s not my favourite scrub largely due to the scent and type of exfoliation.

It’s a blue scrub packed with fine grains of salt and provides gentle exfoliation which is great if you’re not into the heavy duty body scrubs out there. I can definitely smell the lemon in the tub however it reminds me of laundry powder or dish liquid and that’s really not appealing to me nor does it motivate me to use it in my hair!

When using it under running water; I don’t get a sense of exfoliation at all because the scrub just seems to melt away like a shower gel! I prefer to use this while my body is dry. There is enough fluid in the tub to allow you to smother this over your body. It’s a gentle type of exfoliation which means you could use it more than once a week. When rinsing off, again I watch the scrub melt away but I feel like I get my money’s worth by exfoliating while dry and then washing off.

The scrub leaves my body feeling clean and soft but not necessarily moisturised however it does help my body lotion to be absorbed better into the skin. I don’t feel this is the type of scrub that’s refreshing to the point that it’s a good ‘pick-me-up’ in the morning but the scent is lovely enough to linger in the bathroom for an hour. I’m happy to have tried this scrub but I won’t be repurchasing it.

Rub, rub, sting!

I got a small pot of this in a gift pack that I received for Christmas last year. I was really excited to use this as I haven't used a body scrub from Lush before. My first impression was that it smells amazing. It's an awesome blue colour and is a nice thick scrub. When using it the scrub is quite granular when you begin but as you scrub, scrub, scrub the salt dissolves and it turns quite soapy. Aside from this it works really well and leaves my skin feeling soft and lovely. The only downside of this product is if I leave it on my skin for too long, about slightly longer than it takes to scrub and then wash off the area straight away it stings me like crazy and I have to wash it off straight away. This means I can't turn the shower off and do my whole body bit by bit I have to wash it off as I go. This makes it a not so nice experience as the stinging is not fun and I worry the whole time that it's going to start hurting at any moment. I will use up the pot of this product that I have but to be honest wouldn't repurchase it. I love Lush so it's unusual for me to not love a product but I guess you can't love every product from a brand you love overall.

Tips: If it starts stinging wash it off ASAP!

Great Scrub to Rub

I got a small pot of this in a gift set. Leaves your skin silky soft when you use it. It's not a harsh exfoliator but you can choose how you use it - with wet skin it's very gentle but on dry skin you get more of a scrub. Rub rub rub is bright blue and it does tend to get the shower a bit messy but it's easy enough to rinse away. A great product that exfoliates without being harsh or scratching your skin.

Tips: Use the day after shaving your legs to feel super smooth.

Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

I love love love this! I am lucky enough to own a 330 gm pot of this gorgeous blue scrub.

The colour reminds me of the type of blue ocean you see in the Mediterranean, crystal clear and so beautiful.

I have used this scrub before I get into the shower when I feel I need a good exfoliate then pop into the shower to wash it off. If I want a more gentle scrub,I use it in the shower for a more gentle scrub. The scent is really fresh and lingers nicely after your shower.

It leaves my body so soft and smooth and once I moisturise I feel awesome.

Rub rub splat.

I received a small tub of this in a Christmas gift pack and it was well received because I love scrubs, body scrubs, face scrubs, hand scrubs, foot scrubs. Yip if it is any kind of scrub you can bet I'll be all over it. There is something so satisfying about scrubbing away all your dead skin to reveal soft and glowing skin.

This comes in the standard black Lush pot that I have grown to love. They are durable, convenient and recyclable so can be exchanged for a fresh face mask when you return 5 empty pots.

I unscrew the lid and notice the deep blue colour, it kind of reminds me of the "dirty" soap the colour and the scent. It's a lemony/manly kind of scent it's nice for a change from the normally girly fruity scents that I use.

I scoop out a small amount from the pot and notice how it's a rather thin consistency, you have to be careful not to lose half of it on the floor like I almost did the first time I used it. And the salt granules feel more like sugar.

After scrubbing this over my body my skin feels soft and nice but not like I've given it a really good scrub it's more of a gentle scrub. The scent doesn't last long on my skin either once I'm done. While it's nice I probably won't repurchase as I love thicker rougher scrubs.

Really like this scrub!

I generally don't use scrubs/exfoliators but was given this by my Mum (along with a few other lovely products) as she didn't use them - lucky me!

I love the Lush packaging of the black containers with the cool font - the names of the products are quite funky and they containers explain everything you need to know in regards to ingredients etc.

The container is a screw top, the product inside was a really cool blue colour and had a different sort of smell - not feminine and not manly, in-between really so I use it even hubby has tried it. It is quite sloppy so you need to be careful scooping it out with your fingers, but you're in the shower so doesn't matter if you slop some :)

I found that you don't really need heaps as it goes a long way - you can use it straight on your skin for more exfoliating or you can add a little water to make more like a shower gel.

I really like how it spreads and how it leaves my skin nice and soft, I will continue using it and would definitely consider buying it when this lot runs out.

Tips: Be careful when getting out of the container as it tends to be quite "sloppy"
