I love the consistancy and colour range of the age defying face illuminator. I mix a little of this with my colourstay foundation morning and night and it gives a great glow to my face (not too much to look silly). It's not too thick or heavy so it blends in well. I managed to find a few of these at one of the Massive make up clearance sales that are usually held around Auckland every few months so I grabbed 4 of them.

Tips: You don't need to use much so the tube lasts for ages!
As I was rifling through my walk in wardrobe (part of it's dedicated to make up lol), I came across this product which I had purchased from one of those bulk make up sales a while ago. I had completely forgotten about this little tube of loveliness. The colour is (030) gold light. It's one of those products that you can wear when you are feeling confident in your skin and don't feel the need for foundation, or indeed, much coverage.
There are a few things I really like about it:
1. It looks incredibly natural and imparts a dewy look to your skin. (slightly sun bronzed and glowing) 2. The flat brush on the tip which makes applying it pretty darn easy. If you squeeze to much out just use your fingers as well. 3. The twist top, just turn the brush with a click one way and it's ready to dispense, click it back and it shuts it off. 4. It's medium weight. I have combination (oily tzone) and it doesn't feel heavy or pore clogging on my skin. It can still feel a little oily around the chin if you have moisturiser on underneath, but because it's spf25 I don't normally wear moisturiser underneath.
Overall, I really like it. While I wouldn't wear it alone on days when I want full coverage, it's perfect for that natural look; especially in the summer time.
Tips: Don't squeeze the tube too hard as you are applying, but if you do it's easy enough to smooth it over the rest of your face with your hands. It's great to apply around the undereye area with the brush applicator, it really does improve the overall look of any fine lines. This particular shade is probably best worn in the summertime, unless you have medium to olive skin
While I wouldn't recommend using this all over you face (its a little TOO glowy and looks a little odd unless its under a solid coverage foundation), it is such an easy to use, easy to blend highlighter! I dont use the brush but instead put it on my hand and use my own brush. But it is a really natural, pretty pink highlight and I use it so often and still have heaps left. A great product!
Tips: You have to powder on too if you're an oily girl like me to keep from looking too shiny!
I enjoy this product especially when I have eyebags. it makes me look awake . I love this stuff and use it for clients aswell.
Tips: -make sure you twist the brush when you finish using it as it oozes out of you dont. -I usually brush on a bit to the back of my hand so i dont use or waste it as i only use it for specified areas on the face. -Dont use to much, as you will shimmer toooo much. use your ring finger to apply it to you wanted area
I got my hands on the pink highlighter during a red dot farmers sale, it was my first highlighter and I have kept my eye out for more ever since! It's beautiful mixed with foundation or primer or simply as a highlight. I respecially love it in summer because the liquid formula creates a dewy finish as well as highlighting. I find it really easy to blend but doesn't last quite as well as if I put a powder highlighter over top. It's an all round great product!
Tips: I pulled the brush off so that I don't waste product and can put it straight onto the back of my hand.
This is the perfect dupe for MAC Prep and Prime Under-eye in Radiant Rose. It provides a gorgeous highlighted glow and even has SPF yippee! The only thing I dislike is the large brush. It dispensed far too much product. I pulled the bristles out (they are only glued in) and use my own brush taking little dabs from the opening. much easier and much more precise :)
Tips: If you are going into the sun, make sure you have SPF foundation all over your face! This product has SPF in it and after a day in the sun I realised that only where this product had been, my skin had not burned! WHOOPS.
I really liked this illuminator. I found that it highlighted really well without looking too 'shiny'. I only used it as a highlighter though, cheek bones and eyebrows etc to give my make up a finished look as opposed to using it all over. It seemed to last forever too which is great as it wasn't too expensive either. I had the Pink light one originally and then bought the gold light when it came on special. I found that both worked well with my skintone at different times of the year. (the goldy, bronze one in summer with a tan and the pink shimmer one in winter) I will say that the packaging is such a poor design - must have been made by a man!! I honestly squeeze all the stuff out into my own bottle as the brush is difficult to use and clogs often. I will buy this again but as mentioned I would use my own bottle.
Tips: Applying with a sponge gives a nice even look.
I picked up a tube of this in 010 bare light a while back and have been through a roller coaster of feelings for it ever since. At first I didn't like it, the stickiness of the product was uncomfortable and hard to apply, the built in applicator brush is just plain useless, and the finish I got from it was tacky and made all the hair on my face stand up! Not ideal. And then, because I'm stubborn and hate unused make up lying around my make up dresser, I decided to try it as a primer under my eyes and on my cheekbones, before I applied liquid foundation. I also just rubbed it in with my fingers and finished with some light buffing with a stippling brush. I loved the finished I got this way, beautiful glowing skin where I had highlighted. These days, I just mix it straight in with my foundation if I want a glowing finish and it works brilliantly. Now that I'm using it 3 or so times a week, I'm surprised at how well its lasting- this may be a product I repurchase after all. I don't know if its anti aging but it doesn't accentuate my fine lines, and looks great under my eyes.
Tips: A little goes a long way
I purchased this a while ago in the shade gold light (as pink light which would have been more suited to my skin tone wasn't available at the time) and have enjoyed using the product.
First off I have to say the packaging of this product is the worst thing about it. The brush applicator is hard to use to dispense product sparingly and wastes and accumulates the product (gross really). I actually pulled the brush off (turn around to off first) mine and it is a lot easier to use as there is a fine dispenser under the brush.
It dries quite quickly so I dispense a small amount onto my fingers and blend quickly on my upper cheek bones and brow bone. I find the fin fine shimmer in the product gives a nice sheen/glow to the skin. I have read the the different shades are considered dupes for benefits liquid highlighters (such as high beam being compared to pink light).
I probably wont repurchase this just because I hate the applicator and prefer powder highlighters as they aren't as messy since you can use a brush. I haven't tried it under foundation as I usually wear quite dewy foundations and I think this would be far to shimmery for using like that.
Tips: Use sparingly, blend into skin quickly and remove the ridiculous brush applicator with a pair of pliers.
I actually love this stuff! I use this as an all over face primer underneath my foundation and because of the stickiness my makeup last literally all day. Makes it a bit harder when washing the makeup off but a lifesaver when going out and getting all hot dancing. Plus gives my skin a nice glow x
