Love the effect it has. Got the black one and have been experimenting with a whole lot of different colours. Some make it look tacky some classy. Kind tricky to apply as well cause you cant go over the layer cause once its applied to your nail the shatter effect occurs and if you try to paint over it, it just ruins it. So you have to find a certain way of applying it smoothly and evenly.

loved it, definatly use again, I used the black one, lol its also good for your phone when it needs a colour change hahahahahahaha
I love OPI shatter. Its easy to use, theres a fantastic range of colours and it gives such a cool effect compared to regular nailpolish. It gives you a huge range of possibilities of colour combinations allowing you to mix and match depending on your mood or outfit. I especially love that you can use them over ANY other brand of polish as it works just as good as over OPI. They can be pricey at some stores but theres always a sale somewhere so it easy to pick them up for a bargain. Love love love it!
Tips: Before applying shatter wait until your base coat is COMPLETELY dry. Swipe the shatter on with a quick swift motion and apply minimal strokes. This will give the best results. Apply to much or swipe it too many times and it will not shatter properly. Practice makes perfect.
It's opi so you know it's gonna be good! Popular mostly for teens as it's quite a "busy" look. But your colour options are endless! You can mix and match to your hearts content!
Tips: If it's getting gluggy (which it will do) pour a few drops of nail polish remover in and shake. That will take it back to a nice smooth texture Also; when applying unlike most polishes you start from one side and work your way across (instead of the usual middle, side, side) DO NOT go over an area you've already done.
I have this in silver, and it creates such a cool effect. The silver looks good over all colours, and works over any brands not just OPI.
Be careful not to apply too much as it wont 'crack' as well.
I love it! Quick designer nails every time!
I love OPI's products! the colour range is awesome & the quality is excellent. I have the pink & red Shatter & they're my fave! Easy to apply & stay on well!
I have most of the colours in the shatter range. I tend to use them along with other nail art i do, for example one or 2 accent nails, or just on the tips! I think they are fun to use this way. I like the way the polish shatters and no 2 fingers will look the same, its very unique but I wouldn't put them on all 10 fingers thou!
Tips: Wait till your base colour is completely dry before applying the shatter.
I love my shatters, i have a white one that looks AMAZING over black polish. They can go a bit gluggy, it's just the nature of the stuff, but nothing a bit of thinner wont fix. It's relatively thin (in its normal state!) and this is good for spreading it quickly over the nail. Sealed in with top coat this looks really good and lasts well. It can shrink, so best to do a smooth and accurate coat as close to the cuticle as possible
Tips: If you use a colour that's not an OPI as your bas coat, do a quick layer of OPI top coat first ;) Also I put my fingers near the cooling fan on my laptop and the warm air makes the polish crack faster!
I LOVE these shatter products, they have an amazing final look and are quite thin and just look really good. The only colour i don't like is the black which is really gluggy and goes on really thick and you can tell when you see it on your nails!! It works really well on nail polish that isn't o.p.i also!!
Tips: Make sure you do the shatter layer really fast as i found mine dry quite fast!
I think the concept of Shatter is awesome and there are so many different colour combinations that you can try. I don't think it looks tacky at all, I would go as far as to say adventurous.
Tips: Shatter is a great "cover up" for any nail polish job that hasn't gone exactly to plan.
