Tips: I use my lipsticks along with a clear lip gloss for even more shine. I also find if you apply the lip stick in 2 coats you get longer wear out of it. In between the first and the second coat lightly dab/brush lips with some pressed powder. You will have luscious lips for hours!
I have recently purchased 5 MAC Lipstick shades and have found that the lipsticks are not very long wearing and has to be reapplied constantly throughout the say. However there is a huge colour range to choose from. I do feel that these lipsticks are over priced simply because of its label. I feel there are other cheaper brands which are just as good if not better.
Tips: Could try dusting translucent powder over the top of the lipstick to set it in place and try make it last longer.
I LOVE MAC lipsticks! I have tried many different kinds and have found these to be my absolute favourite. I believe that they have the best colour range, especially for someone like me who loves to wear bright and colourful lips, and the staying power is also like no other. It is far too hard for me to decide what my favourite shade would be, but currently I have been wearing Pure Heroine, Media and Morange the most. You must get your hands on at least one! I promise you will be come addicted.
Tips: I tend to find the matte lipsticks to be drying, so tend to to apply a lip balm before hand to keep my lips nice and smooth.
My first ever MAC lipstick was Creme de nude which is a really nice nude with a sheen to it as it is from the sheen range. I absolutely loved this lipstick and 3 years down the track I am still using it! Sincce then I've purchased a few more and now have 5 lipsticks. I love them and the colours and some of them even have an incredible smell! My only downside to Mac lipsticks other than the price (poor student) is that the matte lipsticks don't sit very nicely on my lips, they find every crease and settle into them which makes for a bit of a ugh wear off look. That being said there are some quick fixes I found work and regardless I still am in LOVE with MAC lipsticks
Tips: Before applying any matte lipsticks from MAC I always apply Lucas Paw Paw ointment to give the lipstick a nice base to go over, I also work the lipstick into my lips with a brush or my fingers to get it nice and even on my lips
I have tried pretty much every lipstick brand known to man. MAC, well done. The texture, range of colours and finishes and longevity of these lipsticks will always make them my ultimate favourite. Huge selection of nudes for every skintone, as well as your more daring deep purples, reds and browns. So easy to apply with no-fuss bullet packaging.
Tips: You can get a free one of these babies when you bring six boxes of used MAC product packaging to any MAC store. Score!
Such a range of colours and finishes - it is all a bit bewildering. I felt like a kid in a lolly shop when visiting the MAC store in Santa Monica. Not only will MAC have exactly the shade you wish for, but there will be a matt, satin or lustre finish to complement your look. The lipstick itself appljes smoothly and evenly straight from the bullet or using a brush. Depending on the finish you can expect very good staying power, with one or two touch-ups required during a day's wear. Pigments are rich and true, a single swipe yields good coverage. I do notice a little feathering of colour into fine line around my lips, but hey, I am in my forties, I am going to have to work a little harder on my surface prep! MAC lipsticks smell divinely of chocolate and vanilla. The cases are sturdy and durable yet stylish. I bought five lipsticks for myself and five more for my daughter and her friend. Rebel (dark fuschia) Russian Red (blue-based red) Goddess of the Sea (radiant orchid) Viva Glam V (lustrous peach nude) Lush Life (plum)
I love my MAC lipsticks. There are so many colours to choose from, you slowly find yourself building up a collection. My favourites are Lady Danger, Media and Twig.
Most of the lipsticks stay on all day, with very few touch ups. This does depend on the finish of the lipstick. The only problem is is that some of the matte lipsticks can be very drying.
They are so pigmented, no other lipstick I have tried has come even close to how much I love my MAC lipsticks. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is after an eye catching colour.
Tips: Lining your lips when using darker colours is always helpful, as well as putting on a different coloured lipliner, or mixing lipstick colours to create a different look!
Mac has a wide range of top quality lipsticks. If you like a matte, semi matte, sheer or gloss, MAC has you covered. As a girl with a deeper skin tone, MAC provides me with a variety of suitable colours that are highly pigmented. I would recommend this to anybody who hasn't tried it. You seriously don't know what your missing out on.
Tips: If you are unsure of what colours would suit you or if you just want to check the quality just go up to your nearest MAC counter and ask one of the artists to help you try a few colours on.
You can do no better than a matte ruby woo! or rebel. My two favourites by far. Mac have such a great range you can find a match for any skin tone, occasion . you name it they have it. The only thing I get upset about is when i run out of a limited edition lip colour and have to find a similar match elsewhere !
Tips: Lip balm lips then lip line full lip before putting lip colour on for long lasting effects.
These lipsticks are amazing. Super smooth to go on and they stay on for ages... sometimes longer than you need! I would have no hesitation in recommending them to others, you won't regret it!
Tips: A little bit of gloss over top for a glossy finish if thats what you are wanting.
A wee bit of makeup remover should get any left over lipstick off :-)
