Silicone Based Primers

Hi all,
Just a quick question about silicone based primers. 
ive been using the Smashbox photo finish primer and by the end of the day my face is so strangely greasy/ oily, like OTT oily. My makeup is still on but my face is like an oil slick. 
I'm using the same makeup as per normal. 
 What on earth am I doing wrong. I see no reviews stating this for this particular product so assume it's user error. 
i don't get this with the Hourglass silicone based primer. 
Would love some insight.

I have no advice, i havent used a primer in donkies lol. maybe your face just doesnt like the smashbox one? If its fine with other silicone ones? I dunno. Thats lame though, smashbox aint cheap. Good luck!!

I tried that Smashbox primer a long time ago, and found the same thing. Super oily and yuck. I actually havent ever tried a silicone based primer since then, as I assumed they would all be the same. Good to know they are not!
