"Great Products" That Ended Up Being Pretty Crappy

So my beloved Sigma F80 Kabuki just fell apart. I was cleaning all my brushes and the whole head of hairs came out. The glue holding them in had all but dissolved and the brush had been shedding hair for months before hand! None of my other brushes have ever done this and none of them have cost as much either! Goodbye Sigma & hello Jessup brushes!

This got me thinking, what products have you used that are "amazing" that have ended up letting you down?

For me it's OPI nailpolishes, just don't understand the hype...

I would say ELF eyebrow kit! Yes it takes some practise to know hw to use the wax but still after that I really do not get the hype!

I'll always prefer pencil over powder/wax.

For me it's probably Benefit Porefessional. Barely covered my pores, then sinks deeper into my pores (making foundation more obvious), and zero oil control :( :( :(  I find it slightly better if tapped on top of foundation.

I would say Mac foundation (sorry don't shoot me on this one) but I just don't get the obsession with it and the huge price tag that comes with it.

I've only used one Mac foundation, and it was great but I'm fairly certain that it's caused my skin to breakout. To scared to try another kind, even though I know they have different formulas! I'd ordered an another bottle that is now sitting in my draw unopened. Boo!

I find the price comparable though, even purchased in NZ.

Same with Susilia, it's OPI for me. I own a few, but they aren't great and must-have in my opinion.

Awww, I love my OPI - but I NEVER pay full price for it. I don't think it's worth paying heaps for. For me it's Maybelline Great Lash Mascara.  It's not an expensive one or anyyhing but everyone loves it, but I've tried it a few times over the years and it just doesn't do it for me.

For me it was Antipodes Apostle Serum. I did a lot of research and was convinced it was going to fade my sunspots and brighten my skin after reading numerous rave review on this miracle serum that only retailed for $65 per bottle. Seven months later and over $250 poorer, there was zero improvement to my sunspots and my skin hadn't brightened any. And that's with me applying it twice daily sometimes three times a day if I washed my face more than twice. It didn't hurt my skin but at $65 a bottle, excuse me for expecting results. I would also add the Proactiv range that I've used to the list but most people found it to be a disappointment as well.
