Has anyone else taken up the #AsSheIs challenge on insta? It's doing the rounds and pretty cool to see.
Basically you post an unfiltered photo of yourself, a caption that helps change perspective on Instagram, and the image of the challenge instructions (search the hashtag to find it).
I don't believe there's anything wrong with makeup and a bit of filtering to get colours to pop etc but also have no qualms about posting natural pics too - in the one I chose my hair is tangled and messy, i'm in a bikini top (it's a selfie, i had bottoms on too lol) and there isn't a scrap of makeup on my face. I've just come off two months of work travel at conferences, unbeknownst to me at the time I was pre-flu, and i was tired and stressed but on the first day of a long weekend in Fiji. All pretty normal for me! (It's not always Fiji though).
I think sometimes people feel like natural means unflattering and I don't see the point in posting unflattering pictures of yourself to prove a point, when you can post ones that are snapshots of you in a moment that shows your real you. YOUR real you, noone elses perception.
Anyway, thought I'd mention it if anyone else wants to take the challenge :)
