Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water Review

I absolutely adore the Garner Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Waters. They work so well to remove makeup, particularly waterproof mascara and liquid eyeliner. It's a struggle (I'm sure many of you have experienced this) where you wash your face, maybe even more than once, and still wake up with panda eyes. I find that by using the micellar water first and then following up with my normal face wash I can get a really good clean. I also use it after I've washed my face, because it's just so gentle and I can ensure I've got all the last traces of makeup. The only one I haven't tried is the Water in Oil version, which is next on my list once I go through the one for oily/combination skin.

This is my new favourite miceller water now, after trying quite a few. This removes my makeup completely, including mascara. It’s gentle but very effective. It didn’t break me out and is such an easy way to remove makeup and cleanse my skin in the evening. I would absolutely recommend this product and I will keep using it as part of my night time skincare routine!

I had heard of Micellar water but I had no idea what it was so when a trial came up I was hoping to get in because then I would find out and get to try it without feeling stupid It has been life changing!! I am someone who has pretty oily skin, but I do not have the energy to keep it as clean and looked after as I would like. This product cleans, tones, moisturises AND mattifies my skin and it takes less than a minute to use. I haven\'t even used it for more makeup than some lipstick yet but it definitely gets that off. I just use it to once or twice a day to keep my skin clean and not as oily. It does get rid of the excess oil and it actually has (after a week) started to keep my skin less oily in between uses!! I normally breakout a lot when trying new products but with this being nice and gentle I just got maybe 3-4 red spots that went away after a day or so. It has even helped draw out some of the stubborn blackheads I have, and I feel it has helped other products I use get at those blackheads as well. Within 3 days I noticed the difference and was recommending it to my family and some friends. And I definitely recommend it to anyone who has fatigue/mobility issues who find a more labour intensive skincare routine difficult!

Im a regular wearer of makeup and i breakout easy, so i need something thats going to thoroughly remove any trace of makeup at the end of the day. When i recieved my micellar cleansing water my skin had just had a bit of a breakout (due to 'that' time of the month). I dont usually use a cloth to remove my makeup as my usual skincare product goes straight onto the skin so i decided to try the micellar water this way, which is not the recommended way to use this product but i wanted to try it anyway, needless to say this did not work well, the makeup only moved around on my skin. The second day i tried using a facecloth and it worked well, ive tried other micellar waters and have found that there is no difference between the removing power as stated on this one that you dont have to wipe as hard which was untrue, it was just the same. The packaging also says there is no need to rinse after use but I felt as if i needed to rinse afterwards as i still felt slightly oily. I actually prefer using my usual remover, rinsing and then using this afterwards, then i would feel like i wouldnt need to rinse. Overall i would use this product as the final cleansing process as i think it did help to clear up some acne spots but i dont feel like on its own it cleanses my skin as good as my day to day remover.

Overall this is a pretty great makeup remover for everyday. It's not too harsh on the skin, doesn't dry my skin out but does a good job at removing all the face makeup off completely. I usually wear waterproof mascara and unless it's an oil based makeup remover then it has no chance with waterproof mascara so i didn't expect this to work with my mascara either which is fine. There's heaps of product in the bottle and will last you ages which is great because I always forget to buy more. I'd definitely repurchase as micellar water has become a go to for makeup removers for me!

I have used the oil-infused version of this Garnier micellar water before and quite liked it, so I was excited to try a different variation. In terms of size and value for money, this product is amazing. It says it lasts for about 200 uses and it's only $13.99! My first impression of the product was that it took my makeup off quite nicely, however, I felt it didn't take it off quite as quickly as the oil-infused micellar water I have used in the past. I found too that I needed to use a bit more on my cotton pad than I had to with the oil-infused version. In terms of smell, I found it had a bit of an alcohol smell to it which I didn't like, and again, this is something that the oil-infused version doesn't have. The product claims to remove makeup, cleanse and purify your skin all in one, without any rinsing required. After wiping my face down with it, I found that it left a bit of a slight sticky residue on my skin, and it didn't feel as fresh and clean as it would if I'd washed my face with water. So having said that, I still felt like I needed to wash my face despite the product saying you don't have to. All in all I did quite like this product as an all over makeup remover, although would probably be more likely inclined to re-purchase the oil-infused micellar water again as opposed to this one.

Packaging of this product is in line with many of the garnier range, clear and concise, the blue colour was eye grabbing.

The scent is not over powering and quite nice.

Does the job of removing makeup really well and especially my eyeliner and mascara. Worked better than other micellar waters I've used. However after about 4 days of nightly use one of my eyes has gone very splotchy with dry patches which I didn't have with my previous branded micellar water. Both eyes felt a bit puffy and irritated. I have had to return to my old brand and the problem has disappeared. I don't know if that is coincedence but I don't think I'll be risking it near my eyes again. It does work well with no irritation on the rest of my face.

Would i recommend... Yes... Just perhaps not to people with sensitive skin or stubborn eye makeup.

I love the pink original micellar and was excited to try this one. I have oily/combo skin so thought this would be great! I tried it out for a week, I would of liked a longer trial period to see how my skin really re-acts.

Same bottle size and look as the other variants, owever I did notice this one had a chemical type smell and I wasn't a fan! I used cotton pads and product was easy to apply onto skin, I did notice it sort of lathered up on my skin when wiping.

I found this product made my eyes sensitive and as a contact wearer I wasn't too impressed with that.

My skin felt quite dry after using this to remove my make-up similar to when you use a toner.

overall I wouldn't re-buy as I'd prefer to stick to the original micellar.

Lovely gentle water which removes makeup with ease. Beautiful scent makes you feel clean and fresh. This water does not make you feel sticky like some others do. Very generous amount in the bottle for the price! I definitely recommend this micellar water.
