VO5 Refresh Me Quick - Dry Shampoo

Pretty packaging... But the actual product didn't do much at all for me :/ by mid day my hair would be oily again. And you had to use a lot of product for it to make a difference so ran out super quick.

I thought I would give this dry shampoo since it was quite a bit cheaper than the Batiste brand that I normally get. I'm regretting that decision now.

I have quite oily hair and would usually need to use dry shampoo the day after washing, or if I wash my hair at night I usually use it in the morning. After applying just a normal amount of spray it doesn't really make any difference, I feel like I have to use A LOT of product for it to actually absorb any oil and it still doesnt compare to freshly washed hair at all. I have had this bottle for about 2-3 weeks and its nearly finished already, compared to the batiste which would normally last a couple of months at least.

It does sometimes leave a white powdery residue, which I suppose is unavoidable when I have to use so much. It does brush out easily though so that doesnt really bother me.

When I first started buying dry shampoo I always bought the Batiste Dry Shampoo as I found it did everything I needed it to do and there is a good range for different hair colours etc. however, I was in a real rush one day and went to a supermarket which didn't stock the Batiste range which meant I had to pick something else.

The bright pink bottle of the VO5 Refresh Me Quick Dry Shampoo stood out to me and I also noticed it was quite a bit cheaper than the other products so I thought I would give it a whirl.

I was very impressed, it did everything I needed it to do without leaving my dark brown hair with white powder all through it. It also smells amazing which is a plus! I actually get compliments on how nice my hair smells (mostly from my partner) once I have used it!

I would recommend this product to anyone as it is nice and cheap, doesn't leave white powder everywhere and smells fantastic!

I have tried a couple of other dry shampoos, smaller bottles and cheaper bottles. Not worth it.

This one is phenomenal. The Schwarzkopf one smells like flyspray and leaves an immediate white cast where it is sprayed, and barely works. This one smells lovely, you have to really spray it for a while/incorrectly to make your hair white, and it leaves it feeling soft and clean. It makes the hair have a nice 'cool' feeling which is great. It is totally worth it just for the smell and feeling, but it definitely reduces the amount of oil in my hair and extends my hair's life for at least a day before I need to wash it again.

I use this product even when my hair is freshly washed just for the pleasant smell!. It's great when I don't have time to cleanse my hair, it makes it feel nice and clean and takes away the greasy appearance. Also cute pink packaging, you need to try this.

I normally use Batiste Dry Shampoo but had to grab some at the supermarket as I was in a rush and Batiste wasn't stocked there. I saw this VO5 Dry Shampoo and thought why not? It was on special and even at full price was under half the price of Batiste.

I loved the packaging with the pink can, and was excited to try it when my hair needed a bit of refreshing. It was easy to apply and didn't make my hair go white or feel strange at all. It did seem to remove some oiliness from my hair but it didn't seem to last as long, by the end of the day my hair was oily again which was disappointing.

It also had an average scent and just smelt like your normal hairspray which was disappointing as I thought it might have a nice floral/clean fragrance or something.

Definitely for the price this did the job and was great if you were wanting to try a dry shampoo and didn't want to splurge on a higher end product. I would use this again but I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it.

I have tried many dry shampoos but VO5 has always come out on top. I have dark hair that tends to get flat and oily within a day or 2 after washing it , thus I really depend on the VO5 dry shampoo. I'll start with the packaging. It's an eye catching pink can (super cute and girly ... which I love) that will grab your attention immediately. As I have dark hair I have had problems in the past with dry shampoos leaving a white powder that is super noticeable on my hair. They also seemed to leave my hair feeling super sticky. None seemed to do what they were supposed to until I came across VO5. VO5 does not leave any white powder on my hair or leave it feeling sticky. The smell is amazing, you'd swear you've just washed your hair. I've noticed that the VO5 lasts much longer than any other dry shampoo as I only need to spry a little onto my roots to achieve a fresh clean look. It works immediately (perfect for those with busy schedules) and always leaves my hair feeling fresh and full of body.

I would recommend anyone to buy this dry shampoo. It does exactly what it's supposed to and it's super affordable :)

I have struggled with finding an affordable dry shampoo that works for me. Batiste left my hair feeling and looking more oily and the others I have tried work well but are super expensive! The V05 one works! It leaves my hair feeling a lot fresher and cleaner but without changing the texture and volumising it too much. Perfect for everyday wear and is worth the money.

The vibrant pink can was the thing grabbed my attention in the supermarket, plus the affordable price compared to other brands. The can looks great and the product smells fresh and lovely but it really doesn't do what I need it to.

I get quite limp greasy hair the day after I wash it (sometimes even the evening of washing) so need something that really dries it up.

I know a lot of people’s complaints are to do with the white powdery residue it leaves but that doesn't faze me as I am blonde and it isn't really that noticeable. In fact, it probably isn't powdery enough to dry up the greasiness in my hair (I prefer Lush No Drought which is full on cornflour).

Although it smells great it really doesn’t give me any body or the feeling of freshly styled hair. To get even a slight effect I would have to use an awful lot of product and the can runs out very quickly.

It would be great for those who don’t get ultra limp/greasy hair for a quick freshen up but I won't be repurchasing.

This dry shampoo has saved my life. I've always used expensive dry shampoo's because I found that drugstore ones were never as good. When I ran out of the one I using, I went to buy a new but instead of buying the one I was always using I bought the V05 Refresh Me Quick - Dry Shampoo. Honestly it has done my hair wonders. The smell is so refreshing but no too over whelming. The texture it leaves your hair is great. It's like you've got nothing in your hair but is clean. This dry shampoo has been a great investment to my life!
