Romantic looks

This is one of my fav palettes to do a soft romantic look with. It has some beautiful soft pinks and the formula is beautiful (as per naked 1 and 2) I recommend for neutral pretty looks. Great for a beginner also. Only reason I didn't rate higher is that I haven't used it in quite some time as I've purchased other palettes I can do similar looks with and I'm loving mini palettes at the mo

Beautiful

I love the naked 3 palette. It has a beautiful selection of rosy toned shadows. I think the only downfall in my eyes is that some of the shades have a bit of fallout, but this is no huge issue and easy to wipe away. I would recommend to some friends, but not all as I find this palette not as versatile as the 2 or 1 due to the rosy tones.

Perfect rose gold colour combinations

Firstly the packaging for this palette is the best I have ever had from an eyeshadow collection. It comes in a metal tin with a firm closure and hinges, the top has a ripped/ridge effect added to the lid in a pink gold ton, with the words embossed in gold of Naked 3. Feels luxurious and expensive from sight and touch alone let alone the quality of the shadows inside. Once opened up the inside is arranged with each shadow neatly inserted with it's name wrote underneath. I nice large heavy mirror adorns the inside of the lid and there is even a well designed high quality double ended brush for you to use with the shadows instead of those horrible nasty shadow puff applicators you sometimes get in palettes, they usually hit the bin the second I open them. The brush is itself a good tell of how well these shadows are going to be, soft bristled with a larger more fluffy pointed at one end to apply transistion colours and blending, then a more finer shorter bristle at the other end that is perfect for cut ins and highlighting/accent colour application. The barrel of the brush feels plastic but is coloured to match the rest of the packaging so it all ties nicely together. I haven't actually washed this brush yet because I forget it is inside the case but will make a point of doing so.

The range of shades provided in this palette include mattes, shimmers and sheen finishes so you can create both everyday looks as well as stunning evening looks. Including tones from black to pink-browns, to pinks and gold colours the possibilities are endless in creating different looks. Shadow quality itself though is not what I expected, it didn't blow my socks off but that is not to say the shadows are poor quality they just seem to create a lot more debris/excess fall out than I had hoped. I think I was expecting them to be more creamy based pressed colours but they are just pressed powders. Pigmentation however is spot on with the smallest amount needed on the brush to get an even bold coverage of powder. Blending of the colours is easy and the shimmers are sparkly even after prolonged wear. I found that with out without eyelid primer these shadows stay on all day, staying where I put them at the same vibrancy that they were when applied to when I remove them. With this palette in the cardboard exterior packaging I was provided a trial pack of their eyeshadow primers that I have not yet used so can't comment on them as I have had no need to use the specific effects that they claim to do, but this is a nice touch and the packs are quite large sized so you should get at least 4-5 applications out of each, if not more so you can truly gauge if they work for you before you part with your money on purchasing a full sized version.

I have no desire from using this palette to purchase either Naked 1 or 2 as I feel that the market is awash with similar palettes of which I own a few.

Love naked

I recently bought this off another BR beauty, I've always wanted to buy a naked palette but was unsure which to go for 1,2 or 3!! Decisions decisions! I have the UD ammo palette and LOVE it the creaminess and pigmentation of the colours is insane and was hoping this palette would be the same.

The sturdy metal tin in rose gold looks gorgeous and definitely stands out In my collection. I prise open the lid (it is a rather tight and a wee bit of persuasion to open it is required) inside is a decent mirror that stretches from one side of the lid to the other, which I love easy to touch up on the go or, if like me you like to wear a full face when you go camping! It also has double ended application brush yes an actual brush!! One end has the perfect end for applying lots of colour and the other is best for blending with more bristles and a bit fluffier. Also I love how all the eyeshadow names are written underneath each colour.

The colours are simply stunning. Mostly pinks and nudes with the exception being darkside (browny/green) blackheart (purply/black) and factory (brown/grey) my favourites and most used are the lighter, nude/pink shades being Dust, buzz and trick.

These shadows are creamy and so easy to blend they really are a dream. The only issue I have with these shadows is the fallout.. Holy moly I seem to get bits of eyeshadow EVERYWHERE it really is a pain and kind of puts me off reaching for this palette when I am in a rush.

I can get a full day out of these shadows though which I love and don't notice much fading during the day. I have been switching between a LORAC eyeshadow primer and smashbox one and have good results with both.

I am kind of tempted to buy naked 1 & 2 just to compare and because I really love the majority of the colours.

Lots of rose pinks

A big fan of the brand and their products, high quality eye shadows that last all day. I have five palettes from this brand and this one is my least favourite only because of the shades and my skin tone. Lots of rose pinks and I'm just not digging the looks.

The shadows are super soft and easily to apply, though I find one of the shades (buzz) to be quite dry and doesn't apply well. The shadows blend easily and the brush is soft and works well for applying.

This palette keeps closed nicely, but you have to use some muscles to open it compared to the other four palettes I have from them.

Really nice palette

This is really great if you're a fan of the rose gold look, like all Urban Decay shadows these blend so nicely, but a few of the lighter colours are a little sheerer than I had expected, and a few of the last colours are a bit too similar, It would have been better if one of them was matte. The colours are all very very pretty though, and there are so many different combinations/looks to made

I do really love this palette, and I have absolutely no regrets with it, but if you're not too fussed with the brand/quality Maybelline does a really nice Blushed Nudes palette which has very similar colours, the shadows are not too bad and its only $30-something. In saying that, I definitely do use Naked3 more

Gave it away

I bought this when it was super popular, and it was one of my first high end purchases. At first I thought it was great, but then I tried more pigmented palettes, and realized it barely shows up on my eyes, even with primer. I gave it to my sister in the end. I prefer my eyeshadow to actually show up, and prefer bright colors. So it was a pass for me.

Lovely palette but I don't understand the hype

I've always wanted to try an Urban Decay palette so was glad to be gifted this from a friend. I am a big fan of eyeshadows and am familiar with using other high end brands so with the hype around the Naked palette range I had high expectations and hoped this would well be worth the hefty price tag. However, while I think this is a good palette, I really do not understand the hype surrounding it or think the very high price tag is justified. I think this is something that is lovely to use if you receive it as a gift or get it on sale, but I wouldn't want to pay the RRP for this.

The palette comes packaged beautifully in a sturdy rose gold tin. I liked this aspect as it makes the eyeshadows well-protected for travelling. The palette has a mirror inside, with a dual ended brush included. I loved the brush included, it's high quality with a flat end for packing on eyeshadow and a fluffy end for blending. I usually find the eyeshadow brushes included with eyeshadow palettes to be terrible, so it's great the one included with this is a good quality brush that I'd happily pay for on its own.

The palette has twelve shades, all of which are pinky toned shimmers and nudes, with a black matte shade. There's a good mixture of matte and shimmer shades so you can do a wide range of looks with this, from very natural and subtle to formal glamour looks. I do like the versatility and find the colours very beautiful. The matte shade's especially are very pigmented and blend well. The shimmers are beautiful but I find it applied dry to the eyelid they just perform averagely with not a lot of pop (which is disappointing for a high end product!). They perform beautifully when wet with far more pigmentation, so I can make them work, but I would expect shimmers on a palette this expensive to not need to be applied wet to have an impressive finish. I do find these have a bit of fall out and kick back when getting product onto the brush. The eye shadows wear decently well throughout the day, but I find the shimmers just don't last well compared to the mattes.

Overall, this palette has beautiful shades and makes it easy to complete a variety of looks and is packaged beautifully. However, while it performs well, I don't think it's worth the full RRP price when I have found other eyeshadows perform far better than are half the price of this palette. I think this is great for veginners though and would recommend picking it up only if on sale.

Tips: Wet your brush before applying the shimmer shades to get a more pigmented and smooth look.

Beautiful

I love this palette, the colours are beautiful, pigmentation is amazing, packaging is gorgeous.... BUT since purchasing this I have found a brand that does perfect dupes of the Naked Palettes for $8NZD which are perfect colour matches and have amazing pigmentation as well. I love the Naked 3 but if I can get a high quality dupe for the fraction of the price I will!

same and bland

The pigment is great and every shade applies great but it is very boring. I was really disappointed at such a large price point at how similar all these shades are. If you like a pinky nude this is perfect for you but otherwise I would not recommend this as it is just variations of the same colour.
