Trilogy Sensitive Range.

First of all i would like to thank the BR team for the opportunity to trial this range. I think we all know that Trilogy is a quality brand. This is evident in all the products and is also true of this range. All of the products contain macqui berry and all except the Facial oil contain Syricalm (see above info), and they all come in gorgeous brown frosted glass bottles or pots. The products that come in pots also come with little spatulas for hygienic removal. First the Very Gentle Cleansing Cream. This comes in a generously sized 200ml pump bottle and also contains camellia. White in colour and unscented, this beautiful cream cleansed my makeup off really well. Next was the Very Gentle Calming Serum. This also contains Calendula and is designed to be used after cleansing, before moisturising and/or during flare ups. In a 30ml bottle that comes with a pump, thin in consistency and unscented, this delivers a calming little moisture surge. The Very Gentle Eye Cream comes in 25ml pot and has Aloe Vera. A really pale yellow colour, i found that this caused my eyes to sting by the afternoons. I'm not sure if this was because it is quite oily or maybe i applied too much. Because of this issue, I use this at night. The Very Gentle Moisturising Cream has calendula and comes in a 60ml pot. White in colour, this is a beautiful moisturising cream that leaves my skin feeling soft and calm. I use this in the morning after applying the serum. My favourite product in the range would have to be the Very Gentle Restoring Oil. Golden coloured and smelling slightly of sesame oil(?), this contains apricot kernel oil and sea buckthorn oil. I know that these oils are really good after sun exposure, so i use three drops at night after serum application. Three drops is enough to cover my face, neck and decolletage. 30ml bottle that comes with a dropper. Lastly there is the Very Gentle Hydra-Mask. In a 60 ml pot and containing sweet almond oil, this is a lemon coloured pot of moisture. This product left my skin feeling ultra hdrated. While none of these products are particularly anti ageing, they will leave sensitive skin super plump with moisture. Like really, really hydrated. And to me, this helps to keep the wrinkles at bay. My skin was left calm and apart from the stinging eyes, no irritation.

Tips: Rub any of the leftover products into the back of your hands to deliver a little boost of goodies to the skin there.

Finally A Sensitive Range That Works

I’ll be honest, the thought of using so many products from one range and using them religiously freaked me out a bit as I’m used to using a couple of products and usually from different brands.

Packaging- I love the colours they have used, simple yet sophisticated. This tells me that the quality of the product has not been compromised by having over the top packaging. Each product came in its own box and had its own unique pump, jar or dropper which was in line with how the product needed to be applied. I loved how they supplied you with little black spatulas so you didn’t have to put your fingers in the jars, great for keeping hygienic.

Directions – What I found useful was that each box had the directions stated on them but also had the directions on each product itself which is helpful if you are like me and sometimes throw out the instructions by mistake. They were easy to use instructions, nothing fancy, just straight to the point, advising you which other product to use next or before. I would have liked to have seen a Step By Step instruction though, i.e. which product to use first, next etc.

Fragrance – The one thing I react with having sensitive skin is fragrance so I was a bit anxious about how the fragrance would react with my skin. I didn’t need to worry though as there wasn’t any distinctive scent, no perfumes or talc’s present, just natural smelling scents. I didn’t have any reaction to any of these products which is a huge bonus for me.

Use of Products – Morning: I started with the Creamy Cleanser, which was lovely and creamy. then the Calming Serum (which is more a cream serum than an oil one) then followed by the Moisturising Cream (which is quite thick and heavy). Evening – I used the Creamy Cleanser again, but this time I applied the Restoring Oil (not a thick oil but not watery either) which was followed by the Moisturising Cream for extra hydration. I applied a tiny dab of the Eye Cream (a nice creamy consistency not too thick or thin) under each eye using my pinky finger, careful to avoid getting it too close to my eyes. I used the Hydro-Mask (a lovely thick and hydrating mask, smells really nice) a couple of times each week.

Overall Thoughts and Results – I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed applying all these products. Usually I would find it way too much to do every day morning and night, but my skin looks clearer, more firm and toned and hardly any blemishes at all. So a good improvement to how it was when I first started. I will be reviewing each individual product in the range for a more detailed review in a few more days once I've really given them the full trial possible. Sadly these products do not contain SPF so you will need to add this in.

The products will last quite a long time as they are all generous sizes. And for the length of time using them, the price is actually quite reasonable. I’m excited to keep using these to see what other results I will see.

Tips: Sometimes the thought of buying all products in the range can be daunting and pretty expensive. So if you can only purchase a few and not all, I would recommend definitely getting the Cleanser, Moisuriser, Calming Serum and/or the Restoring Oil as I believe these work really well when used together. The others are amazing too which you can add in if you feel your budget will allow at a later date. All of these products compliment each other so if you can afford them all, definitely purchase them.

Trilogy Sensitive Range Review

I was so stoked to be one of the lucky to trial this range. 1, because Trilogy is such a reputable and quality brand and 2, my skin can be a real issue so in the hopes of finding a range that would not only not cause my skin irritation but would also nourish and protect, yes of course, where do I sign! First off, recieving such a lovely bundle of heavenly Trilogy products is quite spesh! There is a cleanser, calming serum, oil, eye cream, mask and moisturiser. The glass bottles and jars look and feel quality and I love that I will be able to either recycle, or mostly reuse! Each item has hygiene in mind...the pumps on the cleanser and the serum, a dropper top for the oil and little plastic applicators for each of the jars. The cleanser removed all of my make up and was gentle enough to remove my eye make up. It is a lovely creamy colour and consistencycle. It comes in a generous sized brown, glass bottle with pump. The Calming Serum is perfect for when your skin is irritated, itching or red. It is in a small glass bottle with a wee pump dispencer. It did find it difficult to depress just a small amount and found dispensing it into my cupped hand prevented it going everywhere. You only need a small amount, so i did waste some. The Oil is my favourite...I am a fan of oils and this one is soothing, hydrating and protective. I made a wee routine of applying the serum in the AM, under moisturiser and then apply the oil at night under the moisturiser. I love it! The Eye cream comes in a little glass pottle and is such a lovely product! It freshens, soothes and nourishes your delicate eye area. Just be mindful not to apply higher than your eye (orbital) bone. The Moisturiser comes in a larger glass jar and as with the eye cream, comes with a plastic applicator for hygiene. It definitely moisturises and protects the skin, but for me it has been such a good base for my foundation. I dont wear a lot for mahi but I do like it to stay put...it does now! The Mask is so decadent, and feels like a body butter...probably due to its yellow colouring. Its so nice to apply and absorbs into the skin. I use a compress facial towel to remove with tepid water. Its a fantastic range and I will definitely be purchasing for myself after I have finished with the trial products.

Tips: Please read each product review for a fuller assessment. If you have stressed, sensitive, flaky, irritated skin from environmental factors then this is the product range for you. PS- my daughter developed a topical dermatitis type rash on an area of her face, nothing soothed it until I gave her the Calming Serum...bam, gone!

Life changing sensitive skin range

I was chosen to review six of Trilogy's sensitive skin range for 3 weeks. I have dry, sensitive, prone to redness and breakouts. The packaging the products came in fits the brand and relates to sensitive skin care in my opinion. They all come carefully packaged in cardboard boxes. It also states on the side all the packaging is recyclable. The boxes are mainly white but have a pale apricot pink top. They all explain what the products are e.g 'Very Gentle Cleansing Cream' then gives a small blurb underneath about what it is and its use '"Delicate cleansing and eye make-up removal with maqui berry, SyriCalm and camellia." I like how it has a small explanation of the main active ingredients on the front packaging. It also describes very well in good detail how to use each product. Also all of them state they are from the sensitive range and they are certified natural cosmetics certified by BioGro. I enjoyed the amber glass bottles and amber glass tubs they came in, it gives the entire range a very luxury feeling and allowed me to control how much product I needed to use. The glass amber bottles and tubs are a deep brown colour, with the light pink sticker on the front with the name of each it looks really attractive in my bathroom and makes for a nice modern look. Now for the main event, the actual product inside... totally skin changing for myself personally. These products all together have completely changed my skin and how I care for it. They have all worked together to increase the hydration of skin, decrease the redness, decreased fine lines around my eyes all without any sensitivity or skin tightness that I have felt with many other skincare brands. Trilogy have really thought about the ingredients and had us sensitive skin babes in their minds and have totally delivered with an amazing range that is fragrance free, packed full of awesome active ingredients and dermatologically tested. I am throughly impressed overall.

Tips: My favourites would have to be, the 'Very Gentle Cleansing Cream' which is so gentle, but feels clean and very moisturised after use and it even breaks down my eye make-up and foundation which is a bonus. I also really like the 'Very Gentle Hydra-Mask' I haven't come across a face mask quite like this one, its a creamy balm texture and so super hydrating it suggests you to put it on cleansed dry skin, then after 10-15 minutes remove residue. I tried it when after the 15 minutes I rubbed the residue into my skin, then washed my face the following morning. Wow! Glowing soft and supple skin. I had so many compliments. Lastly it would be a tie between the Very Gentle Moisturising Cream and Very Gentle Restoring Oil, each have their differences but are both gentle and deeply nourishing on my skin. The oil sinks in and does not feel heavy or greasy on my face, I have been using this before bed as an evening serum and I wake up with my skin feeling nourished. The daily moisturising cream is perfect under make-up and keeps my dry patches at bay all day. The two remaining products where the 'Very Gentle Calming Serum' and 'Very Gentle Eye Cream' I loved both of these products but if I was to repurchase (which I definitely will be doing) I wouldn't be devastated if these weren't in stock. The calming serum was very interesting. I used it before moisturising as it suggests, it left my face feeling quite cooled, soothed and refreshed as one of the main ingredients is calendula. I could see this be beneficial for those girls with really uncomfortable dryness, or those who work in air-conditioned buildings. I thought mine would be useful in Summer as I have been known to stay out in the sunshine for too long or swimming in the ocean and my face needs all the soothing and hydrating it can get at that time of year. The eye cream is beautifully hydrating and has a lovely cooling effect, having a sensitive eye cream for me is a must as I have a very delicate sensitive eye area this formula was perfect. I felt no irritation, smelt no fragrance and was hydrating and simply sunk into my skin. I applied this after cleansing and before facial moisturiser or oil. The price point. The recommended retail price varied from $42-$53 NZD, which I think for the products, the packaging they come in, and the amounts you get is totally fair enough. I do however know that Trilogy sometimes has discounts on their website, and Farmers who stock Trilogy cosmetics do 15%-25% off skincare sometimes, so maybe a good idea to stock up on those fantastic deals are happening. I feel like I have found an amazing range, that works wonders for my skin personally, so I will be repurchasing for sure. I would love to see the sensitive range expand as I know there are some other needs for my skin that I would love to find and see Trilogy create.

Thank Youuuuuuu!!

I have crazy fickle skin, my whole life it has been super sensitive that has a meltdown whenever it feels like it and breaks out in painful red facial eczema that drives me up the wall , but as i've gotten older and now in my 30s I don't just need sensitive skin care, I need something to work on anti aging and keeping my skin protected and hydrated. i sometimes feel like I don't fit into a box that I can just tick one option for my type of skin. I've tried so many products but never fallen in love with a whole range before. UNTIL NOW!! I have enjoyed using every single one of these products.

Firstly the packaging is so so so pretty, I'm terrified i'm going to drop the beautiful glass bottles on the floor (that has happened before!!) They look gorgeous in my bathroom cabinet and all serve their purposes well.

The products them selves, are all so incredibly rich and nourishing without being super heavy weighty or greasy. My skin soaked up the products really well and welcomed the hydration. One noticeable thing was a little goes a long way, which is so good considering the range to me is a little on the pricer side but is backed with amazing quality products in my mind.

Performance wise, all of the products worked really well for my skin, and after having a facial eczema flair up a day before my products arrive they were put to quick work and didn't irritate the problem and I think even helped it calm down as it did not last nearly as long as it would normally with the calming serum becoming my very best friend.

Tips: Don't let the price put you off, great quality products that are well worth the investment. A little goes a long long way xx

Trilogy Sensitive Range

I've tried all the products in the Trilogy Sensitive Range. There is an eye cream, moisturiser (day and night combined), mask, restoring oil, cleanser and calming serum. All the products are amazing. They are very rich and creamy and so gentle. I had had no problem using the products around the ultra sensitive eye area. My skin is very sensitive and I had no issues with using this products. I used the products twice a day. The creams have no fragrance. My sensitive skin has had no adverse effects. The creams come with a little spatula to ease of use but I preferred just using my finger tip. I would definitely try this product again. These products are a real treat for sensitive skin. After using these products continually for a couple of weeks, my skin feels very nourished and super hydrated.

Tips: Only use a little cream as it goes a long way.

Great for all skin types

I have really enjoyed trailing this skincare range over the last few weeks. I am 43 years old with very oily skin but clear skin and have looked after my skincare regime with good quality products. The outer packaging was very nice and simple with clear instructions and ingredient listing. I love the product packaging, a dark brown frosted glass. It looks classy and of quality, however a little nerving that I might drop it on tiles. The products themselves are all very luxurious feeling, and I was apprehensive at first that they maybe too heavy for my oily skin. However after the first week, my skin settled it and looks very clean, clear and refined. My favorites are the cleanser and the facial oil. The eye cream is an extremely generous size as only a small amount is needed. I've found the serum unnecessary for my skin, as I have no issues as such but still enjoyable to use, however the pump is a little stiff and can be messy to dispense. All of the products come with either a pump, dropper or spatula making them very hygienic to use. So far, I am thoroughly enjoying this range and would recommend to anyone regardless of their skin type.

Tips: A little goes a long way and nice to support a NZ company!

Love love love this range! My new go-to!!!!

I was incredibly lucky to be chosen to review the Trilogy Very Gentle Sensitive range, and I must say a big thank you! This range has been a godsend for me! I have incredibly temperamental skin; it’s prone to a range of rashes, redness, dryness but also acne and blocked pores. This range has calmed down, if not gotten rid of most of these problems within the three weeks I have been using it. I love all of the products and will continue to use this entire range. Friends of mine know how much I struggle with my skin and all of them have commented on how great it’s looking. Firstly, the range consist of a cleansing cream, serum, face oil, moisturising cream, eye cream and a face mask. All work great on their own, but together create a wonderful, well thought out collection. Each product comes in a white and peach package with a description of the ingredients, their properties and how to use them. The actual bottles/containers are made from amber glass with a peach label, giving the range a simplistic yet elegant feel. You know straight from the packaging that it will be a quality product. The range uses maqui berry and SyriCalm along with other ingredients in particular products, like calendula, apricot and sea buckthorn. This combination seems to hydrate and nourish my skin at the same time as softening and calming away any irritation, leaving my skin looking healthy and glowing. A little goes a long way with these products, start with a small amount and add more if you think your skin needs it! The products are super creamy without being overly greasy and blocking my pores, in fact my blocked pores are starting to disappear!!! The ingredients are so gentle that they only have a light fragrance, hints of berry is what I found to be most prominent. I have had absolutely no reactions from the range and I believe Trilogy has really put some thought into understanding what will help sensitive skin. I will most definitely be using this range as my everyday skincare from now on and have already recommended to friends.

Tips: Go with your skin’s needs. Yes a little goes a long way, but to begin with my skin needed more product, particularly the restoring oil to get rid of the dryness before I was able to ease off on the products and only use a little. Still, start with a small amount of product and add more if you think your skin needs it! When using the cream cleanser, one pump is plenty and pat your face dry after rinsing. It will leave your face feeling super soft. Wait until each product has had time to properly soak into your skin before adding the next one. Use the calming serum on any flare ups you have to have to have instant cooling relief.

Wow!

As the years have advanced (I’m now in my 50s), my skin has become increasingly sensitive, and I now suffer from rosacea which seems to become increasingly aggravated during the cold winter months. Firstly, I gently massaged a thumbnail size amount of the Trilogy Very Gentle Cleansing Cream onto my damp face and neck. The product is quite creamy but rinses well with warm water and left my skin feeling clean without irritation or dryness. As I was having a particularly difficult time with my skin flaring up, I then went on to use the Trilogy Very Gentle Calming Serum which is a lovely light lotion that left my skin feeling cool, calm and hydrated. I used this on a couple of consecutive days where I wasn’t going anywhere in particular so went make-up free. Really impressed with this product as there was a noticeable change in my skin tone being less red and the stinging sensation which I had been experiencing, went! Love! Love! Love! Now that my skin flare up was under control, I changed my skin routine so instead of using the Trilogy Very Gentle Calming Serum after cleansing, I decided to try the Trilogy Very Gentle Restoring Oil. I gently massaged a couple of drops into my face and neck and the oil absorbed nicely, soothing my skin. I then applied the Trilogy Very Gentle Moisturising Cream. I only needed a small amount of this cream which penetrated my skin immediately leaving it feeling fresh and dewy without any greasiness or irritation. After a week, I found I was able to reduce using the Trilogy Very Gentle Restoring Oil to just once a day, before bedtime under the moisturiser. A couple of weeks later, I went on to trying the Trilogy Very Gentle Eye Cream which I applied after cleansing and before moisturising morning and night, and I reduced using the Restoring Oil to as and when my skin felt like it required it which is now approximately twice weekly. The Eye Cream felt cool and refreshing on the delicate skin around my eyes, is very lightweight and absorbed easily. It felt very soothing and I must say the pesky fine lines around my eyes seem much more less noticeable! I can’t tell you what an added bonus this is! :) The recent frosty mornings left my skin feeling like it needed a serious hydration boost so the weekend just gone, I made time to try out the Trilogy Very Gentle Hydra-Mask. As per the instructions, I applied a thick layer of this yellowy creamy substance to my clean, dry face and neck and left for 15 minutes. After which, I rinsed away the excess leaving my skin feeling extremely soft and hydrated, ridding of a small slightly dry patch that had begun to appear on my left cheek. Just what my winter ravaged skin needed. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in trialling this super range from Trilogy which has left my skin feeling calm, smooth and fully hydrated. I will continue using these products as they have had such a positive effect on my sensitive rosacea skin. Well done Trilogy!

Tips: Use Trilogy Very Gentle Calming Serum during skin flare ups and try and go make-up free for a couple of days.

It's Really Very Gentle

The beautiful bottles! These are gorgeous with the perfect combo of a slight coppery amber bottle and blush pink labels. The high quality glass and finish along with the perfect dispensing systems. That cleanser pump is the bomb. They look stunning laying in a wee basket on display in my bathroom! This range is aimed at very sensitive skin and proposes to be "Very Gentle" and it is. My skin can be highly irritated, often more so by natural products as I find I can react to some plants or floral extracts but this range has been perfect for my skin. Even through eczema flare ups, it is soothing, hydrating & calming. The range includes a gorgeous rich cleanser, a lovely hydrating mask, a calming serum, a restoring oil, a delicate eye cream, and a thick moisturising cream all of which claim to help with both hydration and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Some of the key ingredients include; maqui berry, syricalm, calendula, sweet almond, apricot, sea buckthorn, and aloe vera (which makes the eye cream and calming serum very soothing and cooling). They are fragrance free, dermatologically tested, certified natural, non GMO and against animal testing. Each product is between 25 & 60mls in size. Sea buckthorn in the Restoring Oil is rich in Omega 7 and Syricalm is a soothing botanical complex used in the treatment of stressed and sensitive skin, relieving itching, reducing redness and improving the quality of the skins barrier function. I feel this was all accurate for me, especially noticing it helping with itchiness and redness. I have been using the range daily, alternating the oil every other day and the mask once a week and I love it. You only need a little of each product as it goes a long way. I especially love the calming serum and eye cream and rubbing any leftover products into my irritated hands has helped them too! I feel overall, even after only using for approximately 2 and a half weeks I have noticed an improvement in my skins texture, redness and dryness. My eye bags have even lessened in both puffiness and the dark circles appear reduced. I love this range and will continue to use as my main skincare regime and recommend to anyone with sensitive skin or anyone wanting a nice hydrating natural product.

Tips: A little goes a long way so start with a small amount and build up if you need to. Be careful not to get on the delicate eye area but gently pat or apply around the socket. Use any excess of oils or creams to rub into hands and cuticles. Use the supplied spatulas to scoop creams from jars to avoid any cross contamination from fingers and wipe clean after each use.
