Essence The Gel Nail Polish Top Coat
I decided to delve deeper into the Essence range and make my nails glam and beautiful. Turns out the Essence Gel Nail Polish range, including the top coat, simply don’t perform well on my nails. So the main appeal primarily for me with the Essence range is the fabulous price range. The Essence Gel Nail Polish Top Coat will cost you a little more than a good cup of coffee. Coming in at $5.65 from Farmers instore. The Essence range is not available for purchase online through Farmers, so go into your nearest store and have a look at the amazing range of Essence products. The second appeal for me is the gorgeous shades, packaging and sparkles that the Essence range offers. I’m standing in cosmetic heaven gazing at the display stand.
The top coat has a nice thick glossy shine and consistency. I truly did have high hopes. I followed the three-step process, using Essence The Gel Nail Polish Base Coat and then my colour of choice – Ultra Violet. I applied one coat of base coat, two coats of colour, and then one generous layer of top coat. Allowing approximately 15-20 minutes between each layer of drying time.
Halfway through my day, I noticed my first chip. By the time I was home that evening I had multiple little chips on the tips of my nails. I hadn’t done anything excessive to warrant damage to my nails or polish, so I was really disappointed. I’m a student in the health sector, so no long water emersion or harsh chemicals on my hands.
I’m still a firm lover of the Essence range. I’ll just be staying away from their nail products, even though they are gorgeous to look at! Xxx
I love this product. I use it with the Essence base coat too, and no matter what nail polish I use with them, it lasts on my nails for at least a week without chipping. It also gives the finish a high gloss gel finish which looks so professional.
