Swisspers Cleansing Eye Make Up Remover pads Review

Wooooah, I don't have sensitive eyes but man this felt so painful on my eyes! I would rather use the plain old swisspers make up remover wipes.

We went on holiday and in preparation I thought I would buy these to save taking too many produts. I dont use an eye liner but do use mascara and eye shadow. I really struggled with these wipes to remove all the eye make up. I ended up using my regular make up remover after the wipes, they just didnt do it all.

I got these in a packed toilet bag full of swiss person products,make up wipes full size and travel size, nail polish remover lads, cotton balls and buds in a purple silk effect toilet bag. For $20 a bargain.

The resealable pack is not my favourite. Other resealable wipes packs dry up. Although not the case for these wipes,still not my favourite. You can feel the moisture in the pack if you squeeze the outside. Assuring,knowing that there's enough fluid to keep the pads moist.

The pads are a good size for any size eye, my eyes are protruding shape, so there is a bit of canvas to clean.

Before use I like to squish up the pack as if I'm soaking the pads in the liquid that sits inside the pack.

Then pulling out two pads and sitting them on the eye. Letting them sit into your skin seems to give the cooling effect to your eye area so very nice then it slowly absorbs make up before pressing and smoothing away.

I do admit these are different to the wipes but not too much in difference, the fact that they shaped has got definite purpose. However the removal is the same as the wipes.

Not harsh, nor stinging and gentle to the eye area. Doesn't strip the skin and appropriatelyrics gentle for the eyes.

In saying this I'm more likely to get the wipes then the pads.

I saw these when I was shopping in the Warehouse one day, and brought them simply because they seemed like a good idea. I find eye-makeup is the hardest to get off, especially when I use products from EOH, and Benefit. I love normal face wipes, but thought these would provide a better cleanse for my eye-area when I’m away from home (which is often).

The wipes come in a handy and small purple pack, about the size of the palm of your hand so they are light weight and easy to carry around with you. They packaging is a soft plastic, which comes with a resealed plastic lid.

The wipes themselves are square shaped with rounded corners, and appear to be a good size for eye-makeup removal. The wipes are quite moist, and because the reseal able plastic cover actually lasts, the wipes stay moist down to the very last wipe. However, the wipes are actually quite rigid and i can find them a bit rough on my skin, especially around an area as delicate as the eye. Also, because they are rigid, it’s not that easy to get these out of their packaging.

With these wipes, I found that after a lot of wiping and swiping, most the makeup does come off. However, because of the small size, I found that I need to use more than one wipe to clean my eyes. Also, I found after wiping and swiping (a lot), the majority of eye-makeup came off, but in the morning I still get slight panda eyes, which means the wipes are not getting off all the makeup.

I find these eye-makeups wipes really struggle to get rid of eye-makeup, which makes no sense since this is what they are designed to do. As I mentioned above, I do use EOH and Benefit product which have amazing staying power, and are known to be difficult to get off, so i’m not sure how this product would work with normal mascara and eyeliners, but this product does state that it can get off waterproof eyemakeup, which is partially true, but is not as easy task.

Yes I could use this product, and follow up with washing my face, or something else. But that defeats the point of even using this since I have face-washes, and other face wipes that do a better job at removing makeup, so for this reason I will not be repurchasing this product.

This product is great to use, if you are in need of taking make up off no matter your condition being ie not so sober or in zombie mode. The best thing about these is that it doesn't burn your skin (or eyes) and the wipes don't dry out. They are a good affordable price too.

So these worked fine removed most of my eye make up but struggled with waterproof mascara. Good for travelling as I wasn't lugging around yet another bottle with spill potential. But then I blinked (like didn't use them for a week or two) and they were dry and useless.

The eye area is very gentle and so when I remove my eye makeup, this is what I use. It is very gentle to the eye and doesn't dry up the skin on the area. It has also removed my waterproof mascara so I would recommend this.

These wipes are so refreshing and soft to use on your eyes, I don;t wear alot of eye makeup generally so they are normally perfect for me but I do notice if I have applied eyeliner and heavier makeup they can't handle the bigger job and I have to use quite a few wipes to remove it all. I always have a stash of these in the house.

I normally just use my normal facial wipes to remove my eye makeup as well. But I saw this was on special at the supermarket (I'm a sucker for specials!) so i thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

Firstly i love the purple packaging, purple is my fave color :) I also love that it is quiet small and compact so it doesn't take up much space at all. The scent is nice and not too strong.

The actual pads themselves we're alot drier than i expected. My favorite wipes that i normally use are quiet moist. I feel like it didnt have enough of the remover product to actually take off my makeup. I use benefits they re real mascara which is very difficult to remove. These pads didn't not get that off at all! I was really dissapointed in that. It took quiet a few wipes to get my eye makeup off. But even after that i found i used a different wipe to get the remaining mascara off.

I didn't like these wipes and will not buy them again. If they cant take off my mascara then they don't pass the test :)
