Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub Review

This product was in my March Beauty Review Beauty Box, and then sat in my cupboard patiently waiting for me to pan my previous scrub. When I finally ripped into it I was super keen to give it a go, as I'd heard other girls raving about it.

The Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub comes packaged in a box, inside of which is the 100 ml tube of the product. Both box and tube are white, with lime , black and dark green accents and labels. From the beginning, it vibes as a natural product.

I love the list of natural ingredients on the front, as well as the loud and proud inclusion of the fact that this is a NZ made, natural-based and paraben free product. it looks quite a lot more expensive than it actually costs!

The tube is the 'useful' type, with the dispenser at the bottom allowing for maximum ease of extraction. The cap is sturdy, and the dispenser an appropriate size.

The product itself is a pale, creamy brown, and thick, with the darker flecks of walnut shell easily visible. The predominant scent is lime, which smells fresh and clean.

When I put this on my face it feels creamy and smooth, apart from the exfoliating particles, which are gentle but effective. It feels amazing on my face, and washes away cleanly to reveal refreshed skin that feels clean and smooth. The scent is enlivening. You only need a small amount to do your whole face as well.

I really like this scrub. I will definitely be repurchasing it, and recommending it to others. It's great to find such a quality Kiwi product, that is so readily available and well priced. I'll also be checking out the rest of the range.

Skinfood has to be one of my most favourite NZ brands. I am slowly accumulating all the products.

This is marketed as a face scrub but recently I've run our of body scrub so have been using it on my arms as well and it is amazing! I love the use of walnut shell for the scrub portion of it. The smell is fantastic to and not over powering. Skinfood always use amazing scents for their products. I would like it a little bit more abrasive but it is still amazing none the less and I will definitely repurchase.

Skinfood as a whole has impressed me, its proving itself to be a great NZ brand. I really enjoy this scrub, it does exactly what its supposed to with just the right amount of scrubby ness! It isn't harsh, it washes off easily and leaves my skin feeling clean and smooth. For $13.99 you really cant go wrong.

I love Skinfood products, It was one of the first skincare brands I found that didn't break me out. Smells great and works great, It is definitely a gentle scrub. I prefer a finer scrub that feels like its doing a little more, so I prefer others compared to this. But I still use it quite often.

I love skinfood. Made in NZ, out of natural and beautiful products what more could I want? I like the walnut scrub in this as it really feels like I am getting out all of the days dirt and makeup. It is also a safer alternative to many of the products that use silicone in them which is damaging on the skin. Overall I love this!

I receieved this in the BR Beauty Box, the instant I laid eyes on it the combination of ingredients stated on the front of the packaging appealed to me and made me want to use it right away. Packed with natural ingredients that we know are good for our health and skin such as cucumber, manuka honey, aloe vera & almond oil.. it's gotta be for you (surely)!

This is a cream cleanser with fine flecks of walnut shell through it, reminiscent of the commonly trialed (original) St.Ive's apricot scrub, but this is much more gentle in comparison, gentle enough to use on daily basis. The consistency is thick, creamy and grainy, the scent is prominently soft lime.

I find that this product funtions more are as buffer to smooth and polish the skin rather than a cleanser. My skin feels super smooth, hydrated and soft after spending a minute or 2 massaging a pea sized amount into my face before rinsing off. Though the feeling of fresh squeaky cleanliness I feel is lacking after washing with this, and it's a waste of time trying to tackle eye-makeup with this cleanser.

This is a mild and gentle cleanser, I would think suitable or every day use if you don't typically wear make up on a daily basis. whereas if you are in a full face of makeup reguarly it may not be hard-working enough to get the job done.

I like the way that this product makes my skin feel to the touch, I like that it's NZ made using natural ingredients, I like the texure and scent. However it doesn't compare to my favourite cleansers in the actual cleansing depatment, in fact I have come to use it as a follow -up treatment after washing with a different cleaner to buff the suface of my skin.

I have enjoyed using this product but won't purchase as it doesn't fully deliver what I expect from a cleanser.

I've picked this up on supermarket aisle without thinking too much, thought I'd give it a go. Result is amazing, I actually am repeating the second one. I usually use this at night, before I put on essence masks on. It's like cheaper version of Lush scrub in a way, but still so good. I've got combination skin, so I just do longer with more amount for the areas I want to focus.

Great job Skin Food has done with this product. The Exfoliating Scrub is amazing where do I start, I received a sample of this from the Skin Food company after i contacted them in regards to ingredients and allergies and i didn't want to buy a full size product if I was unable to use it, but after even one use of this product and no reaction I had to go out and buy it.

It has the normal White and Green squeeze packaging from Skin Food which is great, enough information on the bottle as well if there was anything you need to know along with additional information on the box it comes in, that hands down is great as we know we are buying the product and not the packaging so the around $14 to buy it is so very much worth it, and quite often is on special so you can get the bargain even better.

This product smells so good, it just smells natural with the Honey and the amazing combination of fruits, the lime smell sticks out for me and I just love it, they done really well with carefully choosing a combination of ingredients but none of that would matter if it didnt have the amazing exfoliation beads that it has, they a full of a quite fine granule and (it product is a kind of brown colour but thats okay, at least you know there are no added colours) it goes onto your face and in small circle motions, it just gets rid of all that old skin, even makeup I found some makeup that just did not come off with makeup remover, this removed it.

I love it as I didn't come out red faced like some other facial scrubs do to me, my skin felt amazing and the smallest amount of product goes such a long way, it even use it a bit on my shoulders when I ever have an issue with slight acne and this helps clear it all up and on my chest when I feel that need a extra boost and I swear this product just helps.

Great way to give your skin a boost after wearing makeup all day, even great as that weekly treat for your skin, I wouldn't use it everyday, only because your skin does its own desquamation and exfoliating every day puts that out of whack.

Overall Highly love this product, even with my allergies I can happily use it, will be buying it again and will recommend it to others.

I have never tried any skinfood products before so I was excited to try a new brand and I was intrigued and excited about the cucumber extract and manuka honey.

It has a very creamy texture rather than a jel-like texture with tiny beads in it. It was very easy to rub over my skin and the beads were small enough exfoliate my skin but at the same time it was not harsh at all so I think this would be a great product for people with sensitive skin.

Once I washed off the product my skin felt extremely smooth and soft and so fresh. My skin felt rejuvenated which is exactly what I want after a long day with makeup on.

I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a good exfoliator.

If was fresh, cleansing and smells amazing. The beads within the scrub where not too big or rough so it was an invigorating rather than painful experience.

Skin feels rejuvenated, new and energized.
