Skinfood Exfoliating Scrub Review

I love this exfoliator! The natural ingredients are great for my skin! The cucumber works wonders to cool and de-puff my face - if im having a stressful day and the walnut shell is so much nicer to exfoliate with rather than the plastic beads you normally get. Would definitely recommend this product if you want your skin to feel tight and clean!

I received this exfoliator in my Beautiful Christmas NZ box in 2015 and only just recently opened it... WOW! I was missing out, all this time! I don't use a lot of cleanser/exfoliator products but now I have used this one I don't think I can stop! My skin feels soooooo lovely afterwards! The walnut shell scrub cleans away any dirt from my skin without stripping it or being sore. The cucumber, honey and all the other lovely things in it make my skin feel smooth and soft afterwards, before I've even moisturised. Also love that it's an NZ company with such natural ingredients, and is animal cruelty free YAY! Absolutely in love with this skinfood exfoliator :D

I tried this Skinfood scrub as I was using other products in the range, and it didn't disappoint.

The consistence is creamy, not dry, and very easy to apply. Rinses well, skin feels fresh and smooth.

The fragrance is light and fresh, great to use as a morning cleanser on no makeup days. Followed by Skinfood moisturizer.

Great price, simple packaging, love the entire Skinfood range.

I have sensitive skin so I generally stick to an AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser however I couldn’t resist giving this a try when I received it in the NZ Brands 1 BBBE. I think that the price point of being less than $15 is pretty good considering it’s not a scrub that I think should be used everyday regardless of your skin type.

The white/green packaging is a good indication of what this product can deliver – clean healthy looking skin. It has a functional flip top squeeze tube that’s lightweight and doesn’t take up too much space. It’s a thick light brown paste with what I feel are small exfoliating particles that aren’t particularly harsh especially when compared to others offered on the market. I like that the hole of the tube is small enough so that you don’t get carried away with dispensing too much. Other brands that I’ve seen have holes the size of my pinky or slightly bigger and you really don’t need much to exfoliate the face.

I squeeze out an amount that’s probably no bigger than my thumb and just massage it gently into my damp skin. It doesn’t feel abrasive and I feel it does just enough to remove any dead cells from the past few days. It has a lovely light almond/lime scent, I really wish it was stronger like the Skinfood Mud Masque. What I like the most is that it leaves a lovely smooth residue once I’ve washed it off the product as if I had lightly moisturised my face. I would recommend this scrub to others but I’d advise not to use it everyday because even though the exfoliating particles are small, excessive use of the product would be too harsh for the skin.

When I first tried this scrub, I found the 'bits' in it too big and therefore found the scub hard to use (I couldn't get the scrub to actually scrub, I was pushing it around). But the more I used it the better with the product and now I think it is my favorite face scrub! Great product! would highly recommend when you feel like you need a good clean!

Nice simple packaging... I like that it is made in NZ. It smells really nice too. When I was applying it to my skin it was nice and gentle for an exfoliant and it left my skin feeling soft and clean.

Love this product, I was recommended this product from my bestie, she uses atleast twice a week and helps to improve skin, cleansing skin and impurities. I love this product and use it as often as i can. I have dry skin so I try to stay towards the more natural products, this product does not affect my skin in anyway. Absolutely love it

first time i notice this brand on BR website. i tried skinfood cleanser and i pretty like it. i was wondering about skinfood scrub so i bought from the werehouse when they had special.

packaging is same like cleanser. nothing any differences between cleanse and scrub tub. I like most about this packaging is simple white tub and green and black write on it.

I attract on this brand because of natural ingredients. I do like this scrub but I didn't love it. Scrub consistency is nice creamy but whenever I use on face that time I can feel cream go smoothly on skin but walnut sell get separated from cream. But still I can feel scrub is gentle on my skin but I feel something different about this scrub. Cream and walnut sell are working not together according to me. The main thing My skin didn't feel dry at all after use it. That's what this product get 4 star from me.

I use this scrub twice a week for best results use after clean my skin. I will buy in future.

This was a gem that was tucked into the 'all about you' BBBE. I had run out of an exfoliator and was just about to go on a shopping mission to find one when this arrived it was perfect timing.

I have a tiny red patch below my eye with broken veins, it turns out that this was caused from using really harsh exfoliators. Because I have dry skin, I instantly thought I needed a harsh exfoliator to remove all the dried flakey skin, I was told no, nope don't do that that's bad. So lesson learned only use gentle exfoliator.

The packaging of this is simple and perfect, a white 100ml tube, with a flip top lid that the exfoliator sits on! Perfect no shake, rattle and roll just to get the product out.

The very light caramel coloured cream has teeny ground up bits of walnut shell, the pieces look about the size of sugar granules or table salt so quite small. It has a faint lime/lemon scent but you really have to sniff at it as its so faint.

I squeeze a small thumbnail sized amount and start massaging it over my face it feels nice and it doesn't feel harsh or scratchy, a part of me is thinking I wish it was harsher-but no that's naughty!

Once I'm finished my skin feels super soft and free from dried flakey bits. I'm really impressed with this exfoliator for so many reasons it's affordable, packaging is all you need, it works, easily available and best of all it's an NZ brand. Will repurchase this when its finished.
