Loves it!

I got this for free like many of the others and am glad I did as it is probably not something that I would just choose to purchase.

The product is easy to use as it comes with its own applicator and you just squeeze out a few drops onto your skin and then rub it in. You really only need a small amount as it goes a long way so one bottle will last months.

I find that it is not too sticky and absorbs quite easily which is nice if you're using just before bed and leaves my skin feeling refreshed when I wake up in the morning.

The lack of nasties is reassuring and the fact that it is made in New Zealand is good to know as its good to support homegrown quality products.

Overall, I would repurchase as it does what says and for a reasonable price which is what you want in this product.

I love Goodness, but...

I am a HUGE fan of Goodness. I've bought the day/night cream repeatedly, as I have the cleanser and toner. However, the chia seed oil? It's a pass.

I bought the travel kit as I was going to be away a bit over the last few months and didn't want to bring all my full size products.

I had been keen to try the oil, but I'm glad I got to try the travel size version as I can honestly say that while it was hydrating and didn't break me out, the scent is not my favourite. 12 hours after using it I can still smell it, and it's very earthy and strong, and no matter how much I use it I can't get used to it.

I'll stick to the rest of the range, but this isn't for me, and I can't see myself recommending this particular product to a friend (despite telling friends the rest of the range is amazing) as the scent's too overwhelming.

Lovely oil for a first timer

I've always been hesitant to put oil on my face. The mere idea of it always made me internally shudder.

I was lucky enough to receive this from Cleo as part of a free sample. I was expecting a sample not a full size!

Being an oil noob I had to do some research on exactly how I use an oil on my face. I've been patting two or three drops a day after I moisturize and it keeps my skin looking supple all day. In fact when my younger sister was over recently she mentioned how plump my skin looked.

I've even managed to convince my partner to pop some on after he shaves!

Tips: Pat two or three drops of this into your skin after you moisturize. Your skin will be lovely and hydrated all day.

So Good I never want to run out

I was advised by a lovely friend in the skincare profession to try Chia Seed oil to help balance my skin a while back and I was also very lucky to have been chosen to receive a free Goodness Organic Chia Seed Oil through an online promotion.

Well I have to say I haven't looked back since I first tried it... It's light and easy to apply, mixes well with other products and doesn't have a strong or over powering scent. It has done absolute wonders for my skin by nourishing it and hydrating it all at once. My acne is almost a thing of the past with only the occasional hormonal breakout to speak of my skin has never looked clearer. My hyper-pigmentation is almost gone and I think that is to do with the fact that I can add a drop or two of rose hip oil to this and it helps carry it to where it is needed. This oil feels so light and comfortable on my skin and using it at night time means I want it to be absorbed quickly into my skin and not leave residue on my pillow.

The packaging is cute and easy to read, it is simple yet has enough info. The vial of oil has a pipette type glass dropper with rubber top. This wee bottle of Goodness lasts a while too as long as you use it according to directions... I added a few extra drops and applied to my decolletage and neck as well as using it as a carrier for rose hip oil for other areas as needed.

Tips: If you find using oil a bit greasy or too messy simply apply a few drops to your regular moisturiser and mix then apply.

Lighter than rosehip

I quite like this oil. I've had a few bottles of it now and I tend to switch between this, rosehip oil and other serums. This one is definitely lighter than rosehip oil but it still hydrates well and it didn't clog my skin, and applying on just cleansed skin feels so lovely. A good product for the price.

Nice Oil but the Scent?

I purchased this on special and it's a budget friendly oil.Full of natural chia seed, and omega 3 to omega 6 essential fatty acids. Meadowfoam seed oil which I hadn't heard of. Made in New Zealand. I used the oil on my face after moisturising to lock in the hydration. Softens fine lines. I also used on the backs of my hands with good results, the skin looked less wrinkly. I don't like the scent of it though, earthy herby and quite strong. So I am not going to repurchase which is a shame because it is a nice little oil.

Goodness Hydrating, Nourishing Light Chia Seed Oil

I'm happy I got this in a beauty box because this is a really nice facial oil. I wouldn't say it's the fastest absorbing facial oil but it doesn't take too long and it's not heavy on my skin. It's light enough that I can use it at night during summer and hydrating enough for day time in the winter and the cooler drier months. The scent is your typical facial oil smell just smells like oils but I really don't notice it unless I've got my nose to the bottle. The dropper works well and I like that the bottle is a dark one as that helps to preserve the integrity of the antioxidants better. One bottle has lasted me about five months so the price is quite reasonable. The main benefits I've noticed with this facial oil is hydration and it's great for sensitive skin. It helps keep my skin from feeling really dry and tight and if I've done a peel or have irritated skin from hayfever this just helps hydrate and sooth my skin a bit. I haven't noticed any brightening effects which I look for in my skincare but since it doesn't claim to on the box I'm not complaining. All around great facial oil for normal to combo to dry skin.

Tips: You can add a couple drops to your moisturizer to make it a bit more nourishing or to a wash off moisturizing mask.

A great, lighter face oil

I was sent this as part of a giveaway. I think it was a magazine that was giving out about 2000 of these. When I signed up, I was just thinking it would be a little sample but I was lucky enough to get the full 20ml bottle size.

This comes in a standard oil bottle with the dropper in it so you can easily get the small amount that you need out without waste. The bottle is made of dark glass and with the silver lid and purple packaging, I think it looks really appealing and more expensive than what it actually is.

I love facial oils but my experience so far has only been with jojoba and rosehip oils. Chia seed oil to me is a much lighter version of oil. I find this sinks into my skin very quickly and although it does feel hydrating, it isn't as hydrating as the other oils I have used. I do have very dry skin so I prefer the more hydrating options but it is nice to be able to apply this and then not have to wait a long time before applying moisteriser and makeup. I would imagine this would be the perfect oil for more normal and oily skin types as I think those skin types would benefit much more from the lighter hydration.

I personally like to use 5 drops of this. I find this covers my face and neck pretty adequately without being overly greasy. I've been using this for a couple of months and have used just over half the bottle up with just applying this once a day in the morning. Even though this is only a small bottle, it will last a long time so I feel like it's good value for money.

I probably won't specifically go out and buy this once I'm done but I would use it again if it was in a beauty box or giveaway. But that really is because of my dry skin, not because I think it's a bad oil so I would recommend it to a friend who didn't share my skin type.

Organic Chia Seed Oil

I must have ordered a free trial or something of this I don't remember but when this arrived in my mail box I was really excited!. This comes in a cool little cardboard box, lavender and white with the Goodness logo on the front.

The bottle inside is a brown glass like bottle with a silver and black dropper top. I love the dropper tops I find them much easier to get the product out.

I waited to use this on my face until my nighttime routine. I take my makeup off with micellar water and then use a bit of ZA oil cleanser and rinse. I chose to use this as my moisturiser as I normally use a Rosehip oil.

The chia seed oil is pale yellow in colour. There is no real smell theres a very very faint oil smell but you have to really be trying to smell it. The dropper was super easy to use - I used 3 drops and just massaged into my face. I really loved the feel of this on my skin it was much oilier than I thought it made my skin feel super soft, healthy and moisturised. It doesn't seem to absorb into my skin quite as quickly as the rosehip oil does but using it as part of my nighttime routine it didn't really matter. I wouldn't use this in the morning it would take too long before I could apply my face for the day ! :) It does absorb eventually and it didn't leave any marks on my pillows or sheet or anything.

Ive been using this for the last two weeks and have had no reactions or problems with this, I cant say that its made any improvements to my skin that I've noticed but I love the feel of this and I will continue to use this and maybe rotate with my rosehip oil.

I have a bottle of this stashed away but I find rosehip oil takes long enough to absorb as it is - now I mix it with moisturiser to make it absorb faster.

Couldn't get past the scent...

This oil is probably a nicer product than I'm about to give it credit for.

The packaging is cute and easy to use. The dropper is fantastic for controlling amounts, and keeping it hygienic.

The oil isn't greasy, and absorbs well.

I just hate the smell and can't stand to have it on my skin. I put it on and washed it straight off. Not sure what it is, but there are a few products from this company that get me like that.

A shame.
