So nourishing

As someone who had terrible acne as a teenager, I never thought I'd see the day when I would be slathering oil on my skin! I purchased the Essano mini set after hearing so many wonderful things about it, and I am very glad I did. My skin is very combination- I have a somewhat dry forehead, enlarged pores on my nose and cheeks and frequent hormonal breakouts on my chin. This means that I have no idea what face products I should be using to fit my skins needs. I have tried a cleanser from this range a year or so ago, and found the scent to be quite off-putting (I think they have reformulated since then as I have the cleanser in the mini range and it doesn't smell the same). This rosehip oil has a hint of that musky scent, but in my opinion its very subtle and disappears upon application. Using this oil or the first time was quite terrifying- I was sure that I would wake up to find my entire face had broken out! I've been using this for a couple weeks now however, and no such thing has happened. I apply a couple drops prior to night cream, pressing my oil kissed hands first onto my forehead (so the bulk of the oil hits the driest part of my face), then my cheeks, and whatever residual is left onto my chin. I let this soak in for a minute before applying eye cream and night cream. My skin feels soft and plump after application. I do find that the oil sits a little on top of your skin so I would only use this at night. I also only use this a couple times a week as I'm not sure my skin would need this intense an amount of moisture on a daily basis. I will definitely repurchase when my sample size vial runs out.

Tips: Squeeze 2-3 drops onto your hands, rub your palms together quickly then press onto your skin (quickly before your hands absorb the oil!)

Oils of the Gods!!!

This gorgeous oil comes in a dropper bottle with the same branding as the other Essano products. It is a beautiful blend of Rosehip and Acacia Berry Oils.

It is a pale yellow oil that goes clear on the skin. It is soft and lovely with a gentle fragrance similar to the other products in the range.

The recommendation is to use it after cleaning twice per day, but I’ve applying it after the moisturiser has absorbed, and it leaves my skin with slight glow and feeling soft and silky. I am a big fan of oils anyway, but this one is particularly lovely.

It claims to feed healthy, radiant skin and reverse the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and dull and lifeless skin. I’m not sure about reducing fine lines just yet, but my skin is definitely not dull or lifeless after using it.

At around $23.00 it is good value for a 20ml bottle of oil, and you can use it quite sparingly. I notice it is also available in a larger 45 ml bottle. Countdown have the 20ml bottle on special for $17 this week (until the end of may 2015 I think)!!!

I most certainly will continue to buy this product and other products in the range, and recommend them to others to buy.

Tips: Tip: use the whole range of products (cleanser, moisturiser, oil, and night cream) together for a great result. I am a definite convert to Rosehip and Essano products, not only because the products are great, but because they are easy to purchase at Countdown, and a reasonable price 

My skin LOVES this stuff!

I bought this product with the Essano Treat your skin pack as I thought that it would be a great way to become introduced to the range. I am honestly only two days into using the Rosehip oil and my face already feels so different. I use the oil both morning and night and followup with either the facial moisturiser or night cream as an added boost of hydration and my face is truly loving it. I am quite oily normally and don't normally put oils on my face to wear during the day but after experimenting with this product, I've realised that I can apply this in the morning, followed by the facial moisturiser and I won't look like a greasy mess at the end of the day. My skin feels so much softer too.

Tips: The tincture vials look small but 3 to 4 drops is enough. Follow that up with the facial moisturiser for an added treat for your skin. Don't forget your decolletage

Pretty meh...

The first thing I noticed upon application is the smell! What is that smell?? It's almost a woody/smokey scent. I've used other lines of rosehip oil and they do not smell like that. The smell does go away after a while but I have to hold my breath on application. That aside, this is nice enough but I just don't find it works as well with smoothing complexion and taking away any dryness, as compared with other lines I have tried... It doesn't absorb very well, but I use it at night only. I would use it up but I probably wouldn't repurchase this and I do favor Trilogy's rosehip oil.

Not sure

I'm not too sure on this one. I used it morning and night after my cleanser but my skin just felt really oily (i understand its an oil) but it didn't feel as though it soaked in and my skin did not seem to change at all ..I guess its good it did not break me out but I wont repurchase it, I'm sure there's something else out there for me

Essano Rosehip Oil

i read a lot of good reviews on this product and decided to give it a go, I really love it! For such a small bottle it lasts a long time, one/two drops from the little dropper is all that is needed for my whole face! i don't really like the smell but the softness of my skin is worth smelling funky :) i also found it didn't make my face breakout. i have used a few other oils and they haven't been good for my skin, so am very happy with this oil!

Rosehip oil

A tiny tincture dropper in a brown colored bottle. The consistency is oily, of course. Not slippery like baby oil. A combo of dry/wet oil, it doesn't totally absorb into the skin and though I didn't use it with my makeup I kept it nighttime use it felt as if my makeup would slide off. The ingredients have great healing properties. However I didn't get any of the results I have a huge scar on my right eyelid and more on my left half of my face from a childhood accident and these didn't lighten or disappear in anyway. But to be fair nothing has helped reduce my facial scars,(haven't tried further surgery but 1 day love plastic surgery) these scars are perfect examples for any product claiming to improve or change the appearance of. In turn still believe in the product with its ingredients and over time if used longer there may be signs of scar reduction. The oil smells like wheat germ to me which is good for skin and hair. Helps with elasticity.

Tips: Purchase the trial pack from supermarket a budget friendly way to introduce your skin to the skincare range.

I hate oils, but not this one!

As seems to be usual with me when I was at the supermarket last I seemed to have another product magically fall into my trolley. I had read Trudijoys reviews on the pack and I was after a new night cream so this seemed like the perfect choice. So home with me came the Essano Treat Your Skin Pack Rosehip! It was on special for $17.50 and seemed like a perfect way for me to try some products as I don't like spending lots of money straight away as my skin can sometimes be quite picky, and I love trying out new things to review on here as well. Because of using the pack I can't comment on the packaging as it is a little different for the smaller sizes. For background I have dry sometimes sensitive skin with a few blemishes.

I'm not usually a big fan of oils but as it was in the pack I thought I would give it a go too. It came in a usual oil packaging with the wee pipette, why change something that works. The oil itself is a light yellow, and looks like olive oil to me. It smells like olive oil too, but only in a very light way, it doesn't make me feel like my face is about to cook some chips. I really like the texture of this oil it feels like a dry oil almost, not greasy in the slightest. Although in saying that you do only need a few drops! The first time I used this I used half a pipette and although it didn't make my skin feel greasy it didn't sink in nearly as nicely as you would want it to. Rosehip oil is meant to be great for fine lines, scars, stretch marks, and sun damage. While I can't speak for the results of fixing those things it did feel really nice on my skin and I will definitely be using it up (which I can't say for my last oil that went in the bin).

I'm very impressed with the Essano brand! And this will definitely be my oil of choice once I run out of every other serum etc that I am trying.

It sounds great Kirsty. I have some and can't wait to start using it - I'm using up some old stuff first. I find other oils I use need to be used sparingly so thanks for the tip that does too - I will heed your advice. Cheers x
