Rosehip Rocks!

First of all, I must say this is the first rosehip oil I ever tried, and really it was only because I spotted it at the supermarket, as I'm big on convenience. Though I don't have experience with other brands to compare to, I've found my miracle in a bottle and have been dying to rave about it! Finally a facial oil that is not too greasy on my oily skin, and its done absolute wonders for my complexion. My red patchy skintone has evened out, and its all I've needed to use on my face for acne - its almost cleared right up within 1 month of first using this. I started to get cystic spots around 3 years ago and they have stopped - completely! And my chin has been horrendous with blackheads & whiteheads for so long I can't remember, but its been clearing up so well with this rosehip oil.

My skin is softer, smoothed out with more glow, and I can more confidently go without any foundation if I feel like it. Its been wonderful for smoothing eye wrinkles too.

I've been using it on the backs of my hands too,as they have always appeared like wrinkly old lady hands! They are finally starting to look my actual age- 30's rather then 80's lol.

Oh - and it comes with a little dropper in the lid! So much easier to dispense it without wasting & pouring out too much, as I often do with other bottles. It has a slight woody?? scent to my nose, not in your face or gross, just subtle. I hardly even notice it anymore.

Overall I have to say this is my Holy grail of beauty!

Tips: use 3 drops into your palm, warm it up and massage onto your face - dab a wee bit extra onto problem areas. I only use this at night just to avoid extra shine during the day, but for dry skin this may not be an issue, its a really light non-greasy oil :)

I bought the tester pack but wasn't sure what to do with the pure oil. Will try your tips and see how my skin shapes up after a couple of weeks! Thanks for the tips!

New Love - The secret to glowing skin!

I recently purchased this after the raving reviews on here and online in general and am not disappointed with it one little bit.

This oil has a lovely natural ever so slight scent which I have come to love and the texture on the skin feels so smooth and luxurious (as oil type products do), yet fine and light. I had worries this would clog my pores and worsen my breakouts, but, the opposite has been the case. I spread this all over my face and down my neck and upper chest and put a little extra on my eye area (particularly my eyelids which get extremely dry) and any other patches prone to dryness.

I usually have very dry skin which is often irritated and dull looking and have found that using this every night after cleansing my face has really improved the texture and radiance of my skin. My skin looks moisturised, healthy and supple after using this for a few weeks and I don't plan on stopping using it as I am really liking the results it is giving me.

I would highly recommend this product to others as it is simply fantastic and I will definitely be repurchasing it for years to come.

Holy grail x inifnity.

Oh man, this stuff is INCREDIBLE.

I got this as part of a kit from the Essano range from Countdown. I was keen to give this range a go because I had read so many good reviews about it on the forum here!

My skin tends to be quite dry and not bright. I have red cheeks and some unneveness around my face, and I don't really get acne.

I like to apply 2 -3 drops of this onto my skin after using the Essano Cleanser (you can see reviews about that here: http://www.beautyreview.co.nz/catalogue/skin-care/face/cleansing/essano-gentle-foaming-cleanser).

This is a thick oil that smells really nice and earthy, with a hint of rose. I love how natural it smells.

I tend to put this all over my face but especially concentrate on my red cheeks, puffy undereyes and in the creases of my nose or anywhere else I get really dry.

Since using this my skin has felt hydrated and it looks the best it has in years. My redness has reduced a little bit (yay!), and I haven't experienced any breakouts.

My skin drinks this in and it feels soft and super supple after applying this. I leave it to sink in for about 20 minutes and then apply the night cream.

This is a must try - seriously. It imagine this is going to be in my skincare regime for a long, long, loooong time!

Tips: If you haven't tried this range before I recommend going to the supermarket and getting their 'starter kit'. It has 4 different products in it that are a fantastic introduction to the range, and it's really affordable.

Great hydration at a great price

I’ve been using Rosehip Oil for years on my face at night and it’s one of the only facial oils I can use that doesn’t make my oily skin even oilier. I thought I’d pick this one up at the supermarket as it’s almost half the price of the other brand I normally use. It did exactly what it said it would, it softened my dry patches and applied at night it didn’t leave my skin an oily mess the next day. It has the typical Rosehip smell which you quickly get used to and I actually love it. The small glass bottle isn’t ideal for travel only because it’s glass. The dropper is easy to use and a little goes a long way. I use a few drops under my eyes on top of my eye cream and my under eyes have never been more hydrated. I will always have this in my cupboard as its without a doubt the best way to add that extra boost of moisture to the skin without the heaviness of a cream.

Tips: This oil can be used all over the face and is great used on the hair , especially the ends.

Great for scars

I have been using this Rosehip oil on some recent scars from surgery for about a month now. I have been massaging some into them usually twice a day. Already my scars are noticeably less red and are healing well. I haven't found this oil to be too greasy and it soaks right into my skin. The scent of this oil is quite nice. I started using this on my face just over a week ago after reading that others had. I am so impressed with how much the redness in my cheeks has decreased already. I have always had very red rosy cheeks no matter what and they can be hard to cover with makeup at times. I am doing a double take every time I look in the mirror now because I can't believe the non beetroot looking face is mine. I usually apply the oil at night after cleansing and before using the night cream but even if I put it on in the morning the oil does not at all make my skin oily throughout the day. To say I am suitably impressed by this product is an understatement!

Tips: The dropper in the top of the bottle is very handy. You can get it exactly where you want it to go!

Ho Hum

I received a generous sample of this (along with the moisturiser) a couple of months ago and decided to give it a go... I have VERY dry skin/eczema which means I am always very hesitant to put anything on my face - I react to almost everything (including all natural products). I was pleasantly surprised that my skin seemed to tolerate this okay. As far as smell goes, there wasn't much of one, just a faint oil smell (like cooking oil I suppose). I applied at night mostly to the uneven, wrinkly and dry patches around my eyes and mouth. At the time it left my skin feeling nice and hydrated but it would always go back to looking/feeling dry by morning. I imagine if I had normal skin or skin that is easily irritated this could be a great product but speaking from the dry camp it really didn't do a heck of a lot and I gave it a good 2 week trial run.

Healthy, radiant skin

I got a small trial size of this given to me when I placed an online order with my supermarket- love it when they include freebies, especially beauty products!

I was excited to try this oil after reading the positive reviews on BR.

The bottle has a little dropper, which is perfect for dispensing a small amount on your hand to put on your face.

My skin tends to be very dry in some places, and now that I'm in my early thirties and don't tend to have as much sleep as I used to (my lovely little daughter waking during the night). I have recently developed the pesky fine lines around my eyes and also in between my eyebrows - so I was hoping this product would work!

I was a little concerned the oil would cause me breakouts, as some oil has done this to me. However, with my normal routine of cleansing at night I then applied this sparingly to my fine lines and dry patches. It's very light feeling and sinks in easily- with no greasy feel like other oils.

The smell is very subtle and not overpowering at all. Very natural and slightly floral. After using this I am very happy with the results. My skin feels very hydrated and it seems to even out my skin tone, with no dry patches. My skin looks healthier and has a glow to it after using this, I love it! After a week of using this I am very impressed! My fine lines look a little less noticeable, in time I'm hoping that this oil helps diminish them for good (can only hope!).

I will definitely be purchasing the full size bottle of this soon. Very handy that I can purchase this from countdown, with my weekly shopping.

After trying this oil I'm very tempted to try the moisturiser and the rest of the range. Hopefully they are as good as this oil!

Tips: A little goes a long way!

my new love

After seeing people rave about the Essano range i decided to go pick some up myself, they are reasonably priced at countdown for around $18-$20.

The rosehip oil is amaze!! its a thick consistency for a oil and super hydrating on the skin, and it does as it claims. After having a baby 3 months ago i have some slight stretch marks on my tummy, i had been using the essano rosehip oil on them and they are practically gone now!

will most likly be repurchasing this when my bottle runs out, & recommending to friends/family

Tips: a little oil goes a loooong way

Love!

My skin is fairly normal, with a tendency towards drier patches around my nose and chin, and some redness around my nose/general uneven skintone.

This is the first time I've used rosehip oil, and I'm a total convert! I purchased this in the Essano trial pack, and have just run out (the trial size bottle lasted me about 5 weeks, using it once per day).

The packing is great, particularly the dropper, preventing wasting or spilling the oil, plus it looks very cue with the muted brown/pink colour scheme!

The actual oil is lightweight, and a little goes a long way: 3 drops is enough for my whole face. It absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft. I've been using it at night and following up with the matching Essano night cream, but even on its own it provides enough moisture.

I found the smell a bit surprising - it's not a particularly "rose" scent, like the moisturiser and facewash in this range, but rather has almost a nutty oil smell. It's quite subtle and fades quickly after being applied, so it doesn't bother me.

In terms of effects, this has been amazing. My skin tone has been evening out slowly but surely, and even a bit of spot scarring I have has been reduced slightly. It hasn't transformed my skin instantly, but it definitely has been helping and I have seen an improvement! The best part for me has been the disappearance of dry patches. Now when I apply makeup it doesn't cake or flake around those areas (you ladies with dry skin will know what I mean!). It really does leave my skin looking happy! I also feel like I have had fewer breakouts since using this.

I will definitely be repurchasing rosehip oil, and quite possibly this brand, given that it is relatively inexpensive and easy to find. (I am about to try a Trilogy sample though, so we will have to see). But overall, I love this and would highly recommend!

I hate oils, but not this one!

As seems to be usual with me when I was at the supermarket last I seemed to have another product magically fall into my trolley. I had read Trudijoys reviews on the pack and I was after a new night cream so this seemed like the perfect choice. So home with me came the Essano Treat Your Skin Pack Rosehip! It was on special for $17.50 and seemed like a perfect way for me to try some products as I don't like spending lots of money straight away as my skin can sometimes be quite picky, and I love trying out new things to review on here as well. Because of using the pack I can't comment on the packaging as it is a little different for the smaller sizes. For background I have dry sometimes sensitive skin with a few blemishes.

I'm not usually a big fan of oils but as it was in the pack I thought I would give it a go too. It came in a usual oil packaging with the wee pipette, why change something that works. The oil itself is a light yellow, and looks like olive oil to me. It smells like olive oil too, but only in a very light way, it doesn't make me feel like my face is about to cook some chips. I really like the texture of this oil it feels like a dry oil almost, not greasy in the slightest. Although in saying that you do only need a few drops! The first time I used this I used half a pipette and although it didn't make my skin feel greasy it didn't sink in nearly as nicely as you would want it to. Rosehip oil is meant to be great for fine lines, scars, stretch marks, and sun damage. While I can't speak for the results of fixing those things it did feel really nice on my skin and I will definitely be using it up (which I can't say for my last oil that went in the bin).

I'm very impressed with the Essano brand! And this will definitely be my oil of choice once I run out of every other serum etc that I am trying.

It sounds great Kirsty. I have some and can't wait to start using it - I'm using up some old stuff first. I find other oils I use need to be used sparingly so thanks for the tip that does too - I will heed your advice. Cheers x
