NIVEA In Shower Body Skin Conditioner For Very Dry Skin Review

I received a couple of samples of the Nivea in shower body conditioner in the post and was excited to try them out. It was nice and creamy and lovely rubbing into your skin and definitely does what it says it will do but i wouldn't replace it with your normal lotion.

I got a few samples of this just like a few other other BR members. I was very excited to try it as it seemed like an amazing product. It is a very convenient way to moisturise and i am really slack at getting out of the shower and moisturing. Now you can quickly moisturise before you even get out of the shower which i love! I got the one for dry skin. When i first used it i only put a small amount on thinking it would be enough but i was wrong ! I had to put quite a lot on my legs to get a result!! which was really the only down side to this product! If you put enough on your legs they will feel very soft when you hop out of the shower! i would definitely replace it after my other moisturizer has finished because it is a very affordable price for what you get :)

I brought this purely because everyone else has been talking about it. I find it kind of annoying and time consuming that you have to stand in the shower with the water off whilst it sinks in. I feel kind of sticky when I dry off and my skin really doesn't feel any different. I think after I have finished this I will go back to body butters. The smell is also really boring.

Well I was a little sceptical about this skin conditioner as I generally have dry skin so I thought it would be a real challenge on me so on a day off work I gave it a go I was surprised how quickly it seemed to soak in and I felt really moisturised as soon as I got out of the shower, about 2 hours later I felt quite itchy around my stomach and arms and on investigation my skin was as dry as, so then I was off to put my trusted moisturiser on! I might give it another go but it doesn't really save any time if you still have to moisturise again later on.

So, I purchased this product based on the positive reviews on BR. Got the blue bottle. The first time I used it, there was no noticeable difference, and I had to moisturise anyway an hour or two after my shower. I thought that maybe I didnt put enough on, or that I rinsed it off for too long. So the next time I used it, I put twice as much on and rinsed for half as long as before. But is was déjà vu - same thing happened: I had to moisturise an hour or two after shower again because my legs were dry. I was really excited about getting this product, but very disappointed in the results. I am not going to bother using the rest of the bottle, which is a waste, but it just doesnt do anything for me.

I was really impressed with this innovative product! I was lucky enough to be sent two samples, one for dry and one for extra dry skin. I went for the extra dry as although I don't have this skin type, why wouldn't I want as much moisturisation as possible?! The product was easy to apply and I found that I didn't need a huge amount to cover my whole body. The ease of just moisturising in the shower is so appealing to me, as it is time saving and I am so much more motivated in the shower as when I get out I just want to get dressed quick and get ready. The body skin conditioner smells great and when I got out of the shower even after drying my body my skin was smooth and moisturised, win!

This I think is something more for winter when you don't want to get out of the warmth of your shower to moisturize, the fact you literally have to turn off the shower to apply is a bit of a pain (I actually thought when I purchased it it was a moisturizing body wash? Was a bit disappointed) But it done what it said I felt moisturized, but maybe not as well as I would be with a proper lotion?

I was excited about trying this as I hate getting out of the warm shower and then getting cold while moisturising. The process was not what i expected (thought it would be like a moisturising body wash) but was simple enough. My skin felt soft and lightly moisturised afterwards, so would be a good option during winter, but i dont think it would offer enough moisturisation for summer

I keep forgetting to moisturise after showering, so I found this brilliant! I'm an eczema sufferer and it really soothes the skin and keeps it moisturised for ages after the shower. Perfect especially for dry skin I think but will work well for anyone looking for an easy way to have soft moisturised skin after showers without the hassle of remembering to moisturise.

I was so excited to use this product, it sounded almost too good to be true. Moisturising and time saving? Perfect. I wish I could say I loved it and I'm converted, but I'm not entirely convinced...

I don't mind the concept of it - applying while in the shower and rinsing off before you get out...and I definitely love that it's time saving. My only problem is that I didn't find it incredibly moisturising and feel that it didn't have the same benefits as using a lotion designed to be applied to the skin to moisturise.

In summary, I would say if you're in a hurry this is great but I'm not sure it's best for me for long term use, I'd always feel like I need something more.
