Move over other ointments!

No smell (I like pretty smells but that's not always a good thing hehe) and very hard to squeeze out of the tube to start with (I thought I got a dud at first but realised I just needed to use my finger muscles haha).

I got a new tattoo a couple of weeks ago and have always used bepanthen cream while the tattoo is in the healing process (I was told to use it when I got my first one and have used it ever since). But I thought this would be the perfect thing to test this product on. So I did.

The tattoo is at the itching-like-crazy-making-me-crazy stage. I've been using this ointment since I found it in the mailbox on Saturday and have to say I'm really impressed! I rub a small amount in in the morning and I don't get the itchies all day and it doesnt get all dry and crusty.

It's also helped a lot with the bruising.

I'd definitely buy this again. I always have the "other" popular brand in the house but I had a sore a while ago that it didn't seem to help heal so I'll change to to this one going forward.

Great skin product

In this cooling weather i have noticed my lips are getting a little dry so have been using this on them and have found that it has made a nice difference. They dont feel dry anymore and as an added bonus my lipstick seems to apply better and has better coverage. I dont usually give my lips any attention except just slap on my lippy when i'm doing my makeup but now that i have noticed this difference I am going to keep using this.

I did find it to be a little difficult to get out of the tube when i first got it, it was very thick and it took a bit of squeezing until i could get any out which was slightly annoying but now i know to massage the tube a bit to warm it up and it comes out fine.

I like the fact that i only need to use a very tiny amount so it will last a good while. The smell is very subtle which i enjoy, just a slight fragrance.

I have some dry patches on my hands that i have also been applying this too and they seem to be diminishing and my skin feels a lot softer and not so tight. I usually just use a hand cream but will be using this from now on as i have noticed the difference.

Overall this product has done what it said it would and i am very pleased with the results. I will be purchasing this when it runs out and would definitely recommend it to people.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment - It was OK!

I went in to this review having never used any Paw Paw ointments, so nothing to make a direct comparison to.

The tube looks pleasant enough, it is bigger than I had imagined so for the price you get a lot of product. Certainly more 'balm' sized than ''lip product' sized.

The first thing I noticed was how hard the product was to squeeze out of the tube, it was very firm and you really have to squeeze hard to coax any out. I put what I thought was a small amount on my index finger and applied to my lips - turned out I had WAY to much. It was extremely thick and really cakey - although not tacky or sticky. It actually felt quite awful so I wiped it off and applied a tiny amount, you really don't need much! The texture was better, I still found it thick and waxy but not tacky which I appreciate. It has no scent and no flavor.

I have trialed the product by applying morning and night. My lips were not hugely chapped but a little dry, I'm not sure I would say it has helped a huge amount but it certainly has not hindered or been unpleasant. The reason I give this product an 'OK' rating is that if I compare to other lip treatments it seems on par, no worse and no better. It didn't wow me but I would happily have it in the cupboard, especially for that price!

What I do think this would be great for is prevention! During summer I spend a lot of time outdoors, I go boating and fishing quite often and get wind chapped lips, I can see this being great to apply before those activities and look forward to doing so!

Tips: Only use the tiniest amount and don't keep it anywhere cool because it is really firm and hard to squeeze out.

Bit of a let down

I was so excited when I made the trial team for this product, I love Lucas Paw Paw and was intrigued to try another brand of paw paw. I loved the packaging it looked sleek and the soft peach colour was really appealing!

I popped it straight into my handbag as I knew that it would come in handy at work especially working in aircon, my skin and lips can get quite dry. I grabbed it the next day and encountered an issue it is sooo hard to get out of the squeeze tube! I was squeezing so hard I was worried it was going to pop open somewhere else and pour out! I managed to get a little bit out and put it onto my lips and it was hard to evenly distribute the product. I instantly did not like it, it felt thick/gloppy and just felt strange.

I decided then it might be better for dry skin then for your lips, I prefer Lucas Paw Paw for lips. I find that using it on skin is much better it protects and soothes without feel greasy or looking shiny compared to Lucas Paw Paw.

Tips: Roll the tube in your hands, or rinse under some warm water to make the product easier to squeeze out.

Natural and organic paw paw balm!

I'm a huge fan of the Lucas paw paw balm so I was super excited when I received this in the mail! It comes in a gorgeous apricot colored tube with a small screw on lid.

When I excitedly tried to squeeze some product out, however, I ran into a problem. The consistency of this is somewhere on the boarder between gel ointment and SOLID. It was so mission impossible to get out and after a few uses I discovered sadly it aint gonna get any easier. The consistency kind of makes me think of those silicone based primers if you sucked all the moisture out of them. By then I was a little skeptical as to whether this is even going to work. But wait!

First I tried it on my armpits where I had somehow managed to chaff them when I went running one day (sorry for the horrific image). It felt soothing when I applied it and was surprisingly not that difficult to rub in. It feels slightly sticky after application but it's easily ignored after a while.I've been using it continuously for three days now, with day and night applications, and basically all the chaffed skin has healed! I'm beyond stoked, usually it takes close to a week to heal.

I've found it also works amazing as a lipbalm and really provides a moisture barrier. I wore this out on a walk yesterday when it was quite windy and at the end of it my lips still feel as if I had just applied it. There is a very faint smell like this sesame seed paste I'd eaten before.

I'm really loving this and for the price of $10 it gets a big thumbs up from me!

Tips: Warm it up slightly (shove it in your bra or put the tube in a cup of hot water) will make it easier to squeeze the product out.

Ok but not great

The packaging is lovely so I had high expectations, especially since I'm a devout follower of the Lucas pawpaw balm. The first thing I noticed was how difficult it was to squeeze the product out. It has a much thicker consistency than the Lucas pawpaw one but a similar colouring. It also doesn't spread as nicely on the lips although it is quite moisturising. One thing I liked over the Lucas one is that it's not as oily so doesn't have that shiny look. Overall, I think I'd stick with my Lucas pawpaw.
