Clean & Clear Advantage Toner Review

Is a good product, but toner isn't really my thing. I found that it dries out my skin and I have to use lots of moisturizer anyway

I had never used a toner before until I purchased the kit with all of the advantage pimple control products in it. Unfortunately this toner made my skin feel very rubbery and dry when using it, which was so disappointing! On the plus side, my skin did clear up when using this system, but I don't think it was just this product alone.

I used this product as part of the whole Clean & Clear Advantage range. I applied it after cleansing using a cotton pad to wipe it across my skin. My skin itself can sometimes be quite sensitive, so I was suprised to see that this toner was aimed at both fighting blemishes and toning sensitive skin, as when I applied it I did find that it left my skin a feeling very dry and tight, like it had been over-stripped.

As a whole, I didn't find that the Clean & Clear Advantage Cleanser/Toner/Moisturiser made any great difference in fighting my breakouts or tightening my pores. In saying that, now that I am in my mid-twenties I am probably a fair bit older than this range's probable target market, so that may be it! I wouldn't recommend anyone with sensitive skin use this product, but if you're looking for a range to try on younger, acne-prone skin the Advantage range is very great value so it may be worth the shot.

When I was using this I had oily skin and breakouts. My skin is now dry and I very rarely get breakouts.

I am not really a fan of toners but I got this as a part of a kit and decided to try it. To be honest I really didn't like this as it really dried my skin out - even though when I was using it my skin was oily. This also seemed to aggravate my naturally red cheeks - maybe it was an ingredient in here? Whatever the reason, I really didn't like that it did this.

This felt really uncomfortable on my skin - it felt tight and dry. I used it every day for a week before giving it to my then boyfriend, as I just really didn't like how it made my skin feel and look.

I wouldn't really recommend this just because it made my cheeks redder and made my oily skin dry. I can't say if it did anything for breakouts as I only used it for a week. I wouldn't ever use this again, however - particularly as my skin is now dry. I'd also be hesitant to use it even if my skin was oily.

Normal to Dry skin people...STEP AWAY FROM THIS TONER! I can't speak for people with oily skin but as someone who suffers from skin which can become quite dry on days this product was literally my worst nightmare! No matter how well I moisturized after using this product my skin felt tight and dry and uncomfortable. The areas of my skin that were usually only bordering on dry became just as flaky and dry as the rest of my face. My cheeks and nose became red and even after several applications of moisturizer my skin felt permanently uncomfortable. It took a few weeks to save my skin after only using this product for 8 or 9 days. I will never touch it again!

I've used this stuff lots over the years, but it burns to much i actually water it down and then it wasn't so bad. It did remove left over oil & grime crap that the cleanser didn't get but because of the burning I would not use it again

I thought with so much hype that this would be a great toner to get rid of those nastyblackheads that flare up every now and again. However it stung on first application, thinking it was just a new product thing I stuck with it to find that it dried my skin right out, did get rid of the spots but I wouldnt use again due to its reaction making my skin break out in dry patches

I was gifted this in a pack along with the moisturiser and also the pimple control cleanser.

I found this product to be very strong smelling, often overwhelming. I had to often hold my breath as it smelt strongly of alcohol.

The packaging is cute, but the product is not.

Whilst using this product, and the others, I found them to burn my normal to combination skin, which often left it red and sore for hours afterwards.

Because of this, I would not personally recommend it for anyone else as I've had such a bad experience with it - although this may just be my experience.

Not recommended for dry skin! My skin type is dry-normal and this product dried my skin out something terrible.

I used this as part of the whole Clean & Clear Advanced kit, and while I love the rest of the kit, I had to stop using the toner.

The best way to use is by pouring a small amount of the product onto a cotton pad and wipe the pad over your face (after cleansing). It is a water-based toner and does a pretty good job at removing excess dirt and makeup from the skin.

The scent is a very strong alcohol-type smell which I didn't mind, but if you don't like strong smelling products, you won't like this.

The packaging is very clean and basic, and it matches it's price point perfectly. Definitely a well priced product.

If you have oily skin, this product is a great choice for you as it works well and is affordable. If you have dry skin however, I definitely do not recommend you use this. This dried out my skin pretty badly and actually made my nose peel. Once I cut out this toner from my routine and used some intense moisturiser for a while the problem was resolved so I was able to definitely pinpoint the issues to the toner.

I purchased this product as part of the trial kit. I used this toner once a day usually after removing my makeup. I did find this product rather strong and harsh on my skin. I do prefer a more gentle toner.
