Clean & Clear Advantage Pimple Control Cleanser Review

This was purchased as part of a kit when my skin was oily and I was having breakouts (I now have dry skin and hardly ever have breakouts).

I liked how gentle this was - after using the toner from the same line and strongly disliking it, I was worried this would be harsh and make my skin feel dry. It didn't. Just like most cleansers, this made my skin feel soft, clean and refreshed after using it.

It comes in your typical squeezy tube - so it's a breeze to apply. I liked to apply this to a wet face before brushing my teeth, leaving it on whilst brushing my teeth, and then removing it with warm water.

I did notice that this did help prevent breakouts for me. I wouldn't use this now as my skin is rather dry and I feel that this is better suited to those who are oily.

If my skin ever does get oily again and I need something to control breakouts, I would come back to this as it has worked for me in the past and it didn't aggravate or dry out my skin.

I used this as part of the Clean and Clear Advantage range and found it worked really well. While other items in the range were either too harsh or slightly ineffective, this really helped keep my oily, acne-prone skin under control.

The squeeze tube was easy to use and didn't dispense too much product. The cleanser lathered really well, and afterwards my skin was left feeling really fresh and clean. My skin can sometimes be pretty sensitive but this was great, not too harsh or drying.

I think this is really great value for an oily-skin cleanser which works well and would use it again. I would especially recommend it for those with young, acne-prone skin wanting a really affordable skincare system.

I love the way my skin feels after using this stuff. It feels clean but doesn't make my skin feel tight at all. But even after months of using it it didn't help to stop or clear up my breakouts (not when I was a teen & not now).

I was gifted this along with the toner, and moisturiser. I did not like it very much. Here's why:

I found it to smell overly strong of alcohol, which I do not like on my face as it stinks!

I also found the product to burn my face - after using the product, my skin was red, sore and sensitive for hours afterwards. However I have experienced this with all of the products in the set, the exception being the moisturiser.

Although the packaging is very nice and tiny and allows for maximal use, I personally wouldn't use it because of the fact that it smells overly strong of alcohol and also because it burnt my skin really bad. I would also not recommend these products to a friend because of this also - although in saying that, everyone reacts differently to different products. :)

I used this as part of the whole kit (except for the toner).

Bad points first, I hate the packaging of this product. I find it impossible to squeeze it out of the tube and have to unscrew the lid to get the product out. At first I thought I must just have a faulty one, but every one I have bought has had the same problem.

That's the only bad thing, the rest is good!

Works great at removing makeup, I even used it on my eye makeup, but I wouldn't recommend that as it's not made for that.

It is very cooling and feels tingly while you have it on your face. I keep it on my face for a minute or so before washing it off, and find that this helps the product get right into the pores helping fight those pimples!

As for the pimples, when I first started using this kit it was because I was having some pretty bad skin/acne problems. It cleared my skin up within a month and I continued using it for about a year afterwards. In my opinion it definitely does help clear up pimples as well as prevent them.

As with the rest of the set, the packaging is clean and simple. It is well priced and definitely recommended.

My skin can never make its mind up on being oily or dry so i use this product when my skin is feeling and looking oily, but because i find it drys it up, when i have dry skin i stay clear or my skin gets seriously dry. Apart from that this product is great, i found it lasts ages because you don't need to use heaps of product. It defiantly did take control of my outbreak which is what i brought it for and gave me a clean fresh feeling.

I purchased this product as part of a trial kit. This cleanser worked well for my skin but the chemicals were rather harsh and left my skin dry, also after using this for about a month my skin got used to it and I no longer had the same result.

Bought a trial pack containing this product about 4 months ago. Worked great for a while, did notice that it was extremely drying and smelt strongly of alcohol.

Even in the trial pack this bottle had a decent amount of product, Lasted me almost 3 weeks of using it every day in the morning, I did notice a real difference in my problem areas, less pimples and visibly alot smoother. But the rest of my face was suffering for it.

I would suggest trying the trial pack which i think retails at $22 at the supermarket before purchasing alone as its not the greatest ive tried, but it might work wonders for you

I bought this in there pack which included all 4 products from this range. I have found that i disliked the packaging due to you couldn't tell how much product you have left. I found that the results for me from this skincare range were amazing. I found that my skin looked really healthy and flawless. I even believed that it help to prevent breakouts if i used it twice a day. This formula is also really gentle and not harsh like other brands.

I found this one was way too harsh for me. It left my skin feeling very tight, dry and sensitive afterwards. On top of that, I didn't see any noticeable difference made to my breakouts either. That said, although this product didn't agree with my skin, it could be just right for someone else with a different skin type. I think I need to use something a lot more gentle when I get the occasional breakout.
