Trilogy Clarifying and Mattifying Trial Team

This Skincare Trio is a great skincare routine for anyone with Oily or Combination Skintypes.

This system is made up of a Clairifying Cleansing Gel, Hemphip Balancing Oil and a Mattifying Moisturising Lotion.

The gel cleanser is a foaming wash which gently removes surface oil and debris from the skin, salicyclic acid rebalances the complexion and leaves skin feeling refreshed and cleaned. Skin is brightened and clarified after use. The gel is contained in a beautiful glass bottle with a pump so the right amount is distributed in a single pump.

The second product in the system is the Hemphip Balancing Oil which is a dry oil type product. Its readily absorbed into the skin, nourishing and rebalancing the skins surface. It delivers enough hydration without any oily residue. It contains rosehip, grape, olive, jojoba oils and cannabis sativa seed oil. These oils work in synergy to keep the complexion clear and smooth. The smell is devine. The bottle is equiped with its own dropper so you can easily dispense the right amount for your skins needs - from 2-5 drops applied all over face and neck perfect hydration.

The final product in this regime is the Mattifying Moisturising Lotion. This product is lightweight and helps replenish water and oil in the skin. It contains aloe vera juice, rosehip oil and witch hazel, combined with lemon myrtle for a delicate yet fresh fragrance. The skin is plumped and smooth after use, skin is softened and hydrated. This product is great for keeping shine at bay, my oily skin stays matte all day on application, perfect for under makeup. The tube is easy to quse squeezy tube, so no dipping in fingers and very portable. The more I use it the more balanced my skin is. I typically suffer from hormonal acne however so far my complexion is pretty even and clear.

I was pleasantly surprised with this new trio by Trilogy. I have suffered from hormonal acne for many years, so I have tested my fair share of skincare products.

I use the cleanser after i have removed my makeup, to ensure I am getting the most out of the witch hazel, salicylic acid and rosehip. Its refreshing on the skin, comes in a handy pump bottle which looks great in the shower or vanity top. I then apply the hemphip balancing oil which is a lightweight oil blend that feels lovely and hydrating. It ferls similar to the famous trilogy rosehip oil, without the heavy greasy feeling.

And lastly i apply the mattifying moisturising lotion. It really does help to reduce shine, all day long.

Overall excellent mix of ingredients in these products. I wish i had found them sooner in my 30's!

I really loved using this set, it was a real pleasure to try something that was natural and did what it said it would do. The Cleanser with its gel consistency was great to have in the shower and felt light, definitely not leaving my skin oily or over dry which was great. The oil was just gorgeous, the scent was devine and my skin really felt like it was well hydrated and smooth. The moisturiser was very light and absorbed so well. I really enjoyed this trial and will be looking out for these products in the future.

I'm usually a very low maintenance gal so thought I'd give this skincare regime a whirl to see if it convinced me I needed to do more. I'm not getting any younger, and my skin is showing signs of all the time I spend outdoors training.

Firstly, I love the Trilogy packaging. It feels luxurious and like you're getting a treat. And everything smells SO GOOD!

The instructions were easy to follow and I really enjoyed the products. In general they did what they said they would, so my skin felt and looked good. It was well moisturised and didn't get overly greasy, which surprised me with using an oil.

The things that were missing from this regime were: 1) a toner. The cleansing lotion says to follow with a toner. I don't usually use toner but had an old bottle I employed during the trial. 2) and eye cream. We all know that a separate eye cream is necessary so I continued using the brand I currently use. I think these two things would have made a more fullsome review.

After two weeks of regular use I can say that my skin is good. Is it any better than my usual regime? Well, that's questionable. And considering the price difference I don't think I'm about to rush out and buy a whole new set of Trilogy products. They feel like a lovely treat and if someone gifted them to me I would not be unhappy! But I don't think I'm about to splash my own cash on it.

These 3 products are great overall but my personal favourite would have to be the gel - it’s a winner as it left my skin feeling so smooth and soft. I think this range is great overall as I felt like I was doing something good for my skin by using natural ingredients as well as supporting an NZ brand. I would recommend these and I will be repurchasing them.

I just love these products! I first used the Cleansing Gel, followed by the Balancing Oil and finally the Moisturising lotion. The Cleansing Gel is an awesome product. It comes in a beautiful pump bottle, and has a nice fresh fragrance. Its meant for combination skin, which is perfect for me. I have normal skin, except for some oily areas around my cheek bones. You only have to squirt a little in your hands, and it makes a nice lather. Just one pump does the whole face & neck, so very economical. Its got a gel consistency and not too soapy. I used it on my eyes too, and it worked its magic on my makeup. It leaves the skin feeling very fresh and balanced. Its definitely going to be a regular in my bathroom. I was quite excited to try the oil as it’s my first hemp related product. I applied a couple of drops every morning and night after washing my face. It gets absorbed by the skin quickly and does not leave any oily residue. It has no fragrance. I left the oil on for a minute or so giving the skin time to absorb it. I then applied the lotion. The lotion tube has a very natural and appealing look. The lotion feels very light and not at all greasy on the skin. I used it every morning and night after applying the oil. It left my skin feeling very soft and hydrated giving my face a healthy glow. It has a mild fragrance which is slightly fruity and absolutely divine. I have to say these products have given a new life to my face, with my skin coming alive after a week. My face feels very soft and hydrated. My complexion has also cleared up since I have started using these products. I absolutely am in love with these products and definitely recommend them to all.

This trial regime was supplied as three products: Clarifying Cleansing Gel, Hemphip Balancing Oil & Mattifying Moisturising Lotion. According to the information on the products - Trilogy supports ethical trade practices, is against animal testing & products are non GMO, which is a great start. This range is best for combination or oily skin. I personally do not have oily skin overall but definitely combination with a slightly oily forehead, nose & chin so was very keen to try this. I have also recently realised that it is an advantage to use products from the same range & for the same skin condition as they have been developed to work together & enhance each other’s properties. I believe this is the case with Trilogy. The cleansing gel is a rebalancing wash which I used morning & night. Then the balancing oil is applied & finally the moisturising lotion. I used them all morning & night every day for the trial period. I also used my usual eye cream morning & night. I also must mention that I love the website – you can do a personalised guide which will suggest products for your particular skin type or look through the quick guide. I did the personalised guide & an eye cream was suggested for me so I will look to incorporate this into my regime too. So what was the outcome of the regime as a whole – Yes, I definitely see the benefit of using products from the same company & the correct range for your skin type. I also really liked how my skin felt using these products – fresher, softer, smooth & less oily. I will continue to use all three products. To mention the packaging – best described as ‘no nonsense’. The boxes are all recyclable & all the info you need is printed on them regarding the ingredients (& what each ingredient does), what the product is to be used for, how to use it, any warnings (such as avoid contact with eyes) & the opened shelf life.

I absolutely love this skincare. I have found that over the two weeks of using this, my skin looks and feels much more even toned and soft. I find my skin feels a lot more cleaner after cleansing and my problem areas such as my oily Tzone and dry patches around my chin area are much less prominent. I have found that the packaging they come in are super easy to use and I won't have much wastage. Pumps, squeeze tubes and droppers are an awesome idea for these and I can't fault them. The fragrances are lovely but subtle which I find really good. The absorption of the products into my skin is fantastic, no residue left behind to be annoying. I will be using this skincare from now on. It's great.

Love , love , love the cleanser! Even though I have crazy oily skin I struggle to find a cleanser that doesn’t suck the life out of my skin for oily skin. This cleanser will not dry you out!

The moisturiser is so beautiful! Still hydrated and glowing. Smells good too!

And lastly the Hemphip facial oil, great stuff I’m a huge oil lover , amazing products , well worth the price ! Treat yourself with this range you won’t regret it!

This is a product that smells natural and not overpowering. The moisturiser and oil make you feel great without reducing you to an oil slick and feeling like you just undid all the cleansing you had just done. The cleanser is fantastic and leaves you feeling clean but not stripped and ready to moisturise. I would definitely be a returning customer to Trilogy. I also love that not only are the products NZ made but carry the Natrue.org stamp of approval for natural products. A definite win
