Evolu Facial Toner Review

This spray toner saved my skin when travelling. I bought the travel size as it was one of the few spray toners I could find under 100ml. It was so nice to have on the plane to freshen up and is just as good now to hydrate and revitalise my skin. I bought the full size when I got home and I use it a few times a day. It is also great for setting make up or refreshing it. I wish I could get something like this in a larger bottle and affordable to use all over the body as I just love the way it makes my skin look and feel. It tighten the skin without feeling tight, it moisturises and nourishes, it smells lovely and makes you feel nice and fresh. I get eczema and have quite dark eye bags and I find this really helps in both cases. I spray it on the dermatitis on my hands when they are burning or itchy and it soothes and helps with inflammation. I highly recommend this product and love that it is also nice and natural.

I picked up the Evolu toner spray in a BR vault. I don't use toner as such, so used it as I use my normal rosewater spray - from the fridge, morning and night, post cleansing.

Evolu has a great (and deserved) reputation for quality skincare using natural ingredients. This spray I found refreshing, but with very little impact on skin balance etc. In short, what it achieved was actually no better than myHG Mario Badescu spray - and I prefer the scent of the Mario Badescu.

The bottle seemed a little on the cheap side to me - not quite the stylish packaging I was expecting, but I had a smaller size so perhaps thats why.

The cloudiness of the actual liquid when I decanted it for travel was unusual - possibly due to one or more of the natural ingredients?

The spray was a little heavy handed, which I felt was potentially wasteful for a product that isn't cheap.

The scent was quite strongly botanical, which is not my preference for facial spray.

In short, were I given it, I'd use it, but i won't be buying a replacement. It's not a terrible product by any stretch, it's just that I can get one I like better for cheaper.

I bought the travel size of the Evolu toner and can't believe the nourishing and hydrating properties it has. Normally a toner evaporates quickly and effects arnt long lasting. This little beauty leaves you feeling fresh, moisturized and that feeling of pure goodness on your skin.

I absolutely love this product!!! I am very surprised about how hydrating this product is.A++++++. The bottle is clean, simple and has a very nice spray. This does have a scent to it and it smells INCREDIBLE!

I have combination skin; When I sprayed this and it touched my skin, my skin felt very hydrated. It made my dryer skin hydrated and it didn't make my oily skin oilier. It lasts all day and sits perfectly under makeup. (It makes my under eye area less dry and makeup doesn't sit in my fine lines as much) It doesn't hurt if a little gets in your eyes.

I will be purchasing this again when I run out. A Must Have!!

The Evolu Facial Toner is a light spray which is easy to use, barely has a scent, and leaves my face feeling 'normal'. Sometimes I forget that I haven't used moisturiser, as I like to let the toner settle for a few minutes (and often get distracted).

I received this toner in a BBBE & now have a cleanser, night cream & day cream - looking forward to trying out the whole set!

Found that this toner had a little sting in its tail which I think is the witch hazel, which is really odd as I have been known to use pure witch hazel on my skin as a toner, but in a mist it just felt wrong unless it was another agent in the mix that left a tingly sensation, however, it was only a mild, quick sensation that went away without turning my face red and actually I think that it helped plump it.

The fragrance is a little strong for a facial mist and found that it didn't play well with morning use if I was to wear makeup that day, but in the evening before applying serums or oils it worked best at prepping my skin. The action of using before night skin care has seen those products work really well so I would probably get another travel size to just use at night as part of my routine as I have seen some very clear improvement to my skin with fewer breakouts and more brighter, tighter looking skin.

I wouldn't use in the morning so that is the main reason why it doesn't get full marks and why I wouldn't bother to buy a full sized version of this as I like to use face toner mists as a skin refresher throughout the day especially in the summer and to bring life back to my makeup towards the end of the day which this toner just wanted to melt away.

For 2 years I’ve been using the Murad Hydrating Toner however this has now been bumped for Evolu's Facial Toner! I received it in the BBBE Cruelty Free edition and was thankful that it was only travel size because I couldn’t imagine it being better than Murad. Boy was I wrong!

The scent is very reminiscent of Murad’s toner which is one of the reasons why I love it. It’s a natural semi-rosy scent; it’s quite strong for a toner but I soak it up. 3 years ago I wasn’t a fan of toners with a spray nozzle because I felt that you waste a lot of product but when you’re in a rush you just don’t have time to pat your face with cotton pads and toner so I’m an absolute convert and stoked the brand is on the same page.

I use the toner before I apply moisturiser in the morning and night. It’s quite refreshing in the morning and is absorbed quite nicely into the skin. I notice if I just let it sit for awhile that my face feels like it has something on it; a smooth-like residue. It’s not unpleasant but being oily-skinned it can feel like a build up of oil. Once I apply my moisturiser I don't notice it anymore. This is probably the second if not the first toner I have ever used where I didn’t experience any stinging sensations. I do feel it does the same job as my former favourite but I just feel better knowing that the ingredients don't contain nasty chemicals or harsh alcohols.

The price point is reasonable at $35 for 150ml vs. $56 for 180ml for the alternative, per ml Evolu still comes out on top. I would highly recommend giving the travel-size a go but I’m definitely purchasing the full size as soon as I’m done with my bottle.

I got this toner in a Beauty Box. I don't normally use toner as I've never been totally convinced that it does anything, however I have added this to my routine to test it out.

I apply it after cleansing morning and night and before applying moisturiser. I like the feeling of the spray, it is very refreshing. Over the course of the last few weeks that I have been using it, I have found that the areas of my skin that are often dry aren't as dry or as frequently dry. I've also found that it helps reduce the puffiness of my eyes in the morning.

The only downside is that if I am in a rush, it takes a little longer. I find that I need to wait until the toner has dried on my skin before putting moisturiser on, or it is much harder to rub the moisturiser in.

All in all, I think this toner has converted me to the benefits of toner! Well done Evolu!

Received this product in the BBBE:Best Of 2017 Cruelty Free Edition and have been using since the new year. I was super excited to find that it was a mist toner. So much faster to apply by just spritzing instead of the usual applying to a cotton pad and the face. I am all about making the beauty process more efficient.

The product disperses easily there is no uneven spray. It does have a smell, a faint aloe vera and rosey scent. Not opposed to it but not a fan either. Skin looks hydrated and refreshed. Other points to mention; it's NZ made and cruelty free.

I've never before had a skin care range at this price point. In saying that, I can appreciate the $15-20+ extra the quality of the product makes. I really like this product, the ease of it and the results. However, i'm not sure if I will be repurchasing at that price point yet.

I got a travel size bottle of this in my BBBE box. What I love about it is, it's cruelty free and a NZ brand. Two ticks already and that's without even getting to the nitty gritty.

The bottle is clear with a spritz top. This intrigued me, I had never seen a spritzer bottle for a toner. The label to me screams clean, green image. It keeps it simple but does what it's supposed to. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. It suggests cleansing first then using this toner before moisturising.

After I have used the Evolu cream cleanser I spritz this on my face making sure I don't get it in my nose, eyes or mouth. It is very, very lightly scented. It gives off almost a fresh earthy scent. I do love the feeling of fresh it gives you when you spray it on. It's like an instant wakeup call. Once you spray it on and let it settle a bit, it leaves a slight sting at the end. It’s not painful more surprising. I am used to this from alcohol heavy toners but I didn’t expect it from this.

Once it’s dried on to my skin I apply a moisturiser. It has now been two months since I started using this combination. My skin has the appearance of a more even skin. It’s not so dry anymore and the red flaky skin in between my brows has almost disappeared. The redness has reduced and my skin is now plump to the touch and bounces back when I touch it. It is now well hydrated and feels like it’s young again. Evolu I am a believer and the cost of the skin care range that used to scare me will now be a part of my life. Patene said it best……..”because you’re worth it”.
