MOR Little Luxuries Lip Silk Review

This was a product that was being sold at my work, and it was just packaged so beautifully (like the entire MOR range) so temptation got the better of me and I purchased this Lip Silk to add to my seemingly ever growing MOR collection.

This lip silk is packaged so beautifully. It comes in a small cardboard box which looks like a little handbag, complete with gold etching and a ribbon for the handle. I have this product in Snow gardenia, so the cardboard box is white with the gold etching. Inside the cardboard box is the lip silk which comes in a plastic shallow rectangle container with a flip up lid. On top of the lid is the gold etching again. Seriously, the packaging is so beautiful, fun, and classy that I’m sure if you looked up the definition of beautiful packaging, you would find a link to the MOR website that’s how gorgeous this stuff is.

This lip silk is actually white in the plastic case, but when applied is transparent and the scent of this product is not as strong as the matching products in this range which im glad about because I find the scent of this lip silk really subtle and gentle, whereas this scent in the body butter is so strong and not very pleasant.

I find that when I apply a small amount onto my lips, this product can be very moisturizing, without being sticky and can actually feel really nice on my lips when applied this way, although it’s not long-lasting. However, I find when I’m a bit heavy-handed with this product my lips can feel more sticky than moisturized and that not personally a feeling I like. Overall, this is an okay lip product. It is moisturizing like it says and is packaged beautifully, but it is really pricey, and not a lip product that I use often so I won’t be repurchasing this one.

Being a MOR fan and given that they usually have amazing products, I thought I'd try out this little gem. I thought the packaging looked really amazing (and I'm a sucker for gimmicky packaging) - so naturally expected the product to be fabulous as well.

Unfortunately, for me I felt that the product was very sticky and 'wet' at the same time - it just didn't apply well to lips and did nothing other than sit on my lips - zero absorption and didn't feel great at all.

Given everyone else experience with it, maybe I got a defacto product, but I'll not be buying this particular one again.

Clearly fancy packaging does not always equal to a premium product.

I was very disappointed with the performance of this but I still love their bodycare products 100%.

The packaging is so gorgeous. I love the fact it came in it's own mini bag. I didn't mind the product, it was nice but I do have other products I prefer more than this. That being said I would still buy it again if only for the packaging.

I was intrigued when I first got this as I didn't know what a 'lip silk' was and was interested in how it would look and work and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

The packaging, fitting in with the whole range of MOR products is absolutely gorgeous. It comes in a little cardboard case with a white ribbon on top giving it a look of prettiness and sophistication. When you take the actual product out, it comes in a clear case that is pink on top with the MOR insignia in gold. The case opens and shuts easily so you don't have to worry about trying to prise it open or it coming undone in your bag.

The product itself is light pink and goes on easily and smoothly - like silk and feels nice and soft on the lips; Be careful not to use too much or it can be a bit sticky though.

The price is quite expensive but I think it is worth it if you're looking for a bit of extra luxury and this would make a lovely gift.

I got this Lip Silk in a beauty subscription box and I thought it was so cute.

The packaging is just darling and sweet and I really didn't want to take it out of its box. Usually I throw away boxes, but this one I couldn't bear to throw out, so it stays in here all the time. It comes in a gorgeous little case too, which is great for storage and has a nice secure lid to stop any bits from my handbag getting into it. Good old sand at the beach is a pain in the butt lol.

The fragrance or scent smells amazing, it has a lovely sweet, fruity smell to it and I really found hard not to eat it. It definitely feels like silk when you glide it onto your lips, only problem is after awhile it becomes quite sticky or tacky. I did find it fairly moisturising but due to my super dry lips, this will not be enough and I will have to add something over the top.

If you're looking for something that doesn't need to be too moisturising, then this would be a good product, but for those with super dry skin like myself, it may not be enough to hydrate or moisturise your lips. And for the price, it definitely isn't worth it for me to buy it.

Brought this as a gift for my mother for her birthday. Firstly, packaging is great, all the MOR products have such classy cute packaging, and I love the little handbag look of this one. Price, this is a little bit of a negative for this product as for the price I don't feel it delivered. I ended up taking this out of mums handbag as she hardly used it, reason being, the smell is awesome so so nice but the texture of the lipgloss I found quite watery when you spread on and watery feel actually on your lips. Because of its texture I could taste it and that was not a nice taste.

I really love all of MOR's packaging, it really gives it the extra special present to yourself feeling. It comes in a gorgeous mini handbag, with the lip silk in a acrylic easy to open case.

I have this in the scent marshmallow which smells like roses. What I liked about this gloss is the shine it gave my lips, however I don't feel like it properly absorbed into my lips, it just kind of sits on top. It is quite expensive and have found other products I prefer as a lip balm.

I acquired this little gem when I spent $50+ at Rose and Thorne online. Not only do I love them, but I love this cute little compact of lippie!!

I got given the 'Belladonna' lip silk. Its a very faint pink in color and smells absolutely gorgeous. I smell roses and vanilla. It applies so easily too, and it's exactly what the title says, silky. It's not runny and it doesn't make your lips feel wet, they just feel... Luxurious. And there is only a slight tint to the balm, so it's even better.

The packaging is so cute!! It comes in an easy to open plastic case, and the product inside is firm so it doesn't move around. And then, it comes in the cutest little mini handbag type thing. I have it sitting on top of my mirror, it's just too cute. I am so happy that I took advantage of the sale to get this, because it's so great and it always makes me feel girly.
