Garnier Hyaluronic Acid Firming Ampoule Face Sheet Mask

Tried this for the first time and will be buying more! The Garnier SkinActive Hyaluronic Acid Firming Ampoule Sheet Mask completely fulfills it's purpose of use as it left my skin hydrated, nourished and plumped. The sheet mask is delicate and folded quite tightly so be careful when peeling it apart. Pop on face and leave for 5 minutes and it will work it’s magic. There is residue left on your skin and the advice states to leave or remove, the sticky feeling didn’t bother me that much so I left it on overnight.

I'm not the biggest fan of sheet masks, 1 I usually can't be bothered leaving a mask on for the usual 15mins they require, and 2 I am yet to find one that works.

Bring on this one by Garnier!! The packaging says to leave it on for 5 minutes which I was soo glad about. I used mine straight after my shower and left it on while getting ready for the day. It was really easy to use, from the super easy to rip open packaging and to putting the face mask on, everything was a breeze.

I really loved that the mask had big holes for my eyes, plenty of space for the nose and plenty of breathing space for my mouth. The scent was a really refreshing clean smell, I really liked it.

The best part about this mask is that it does what it says! When I took the mask off, unlike the anti-fatigue mask there wasn't a lot of product left but the little that was left I massaged into my skin. It however did become quite sticky very quickly, apparently this is due to the high concentration of hyaluronic acid. The packaging states to remove the excess with a cotton pad. The packaging states that skin will be smooth and firmer after using this mask - tick...it does this! I actually wondered whether I was seeing and feeling things, this is a first!! My skin felt incredibly firm and it looked extremely smooth. Where can I get a face cream that does this every day???

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this product at all and this is one of my new go-to sheet masks if I'm ever looking for one, together with the anti fatigue mask!

I was sooooo looking forward to the summery, watermelon scent! Only to find that it smells more like dishwashing liquid.. So that was disappointing..

However, I love that they're using less packaging and have made it smaller. It's also much better for storing. Especially if you're like me and hoard face masks :') I also like that you only need to use it for 5 minutes. Most others are 10-20 minutes. Great if you're short on time. It felt like any other face mask while it was on. I like that the eye holes seemed to be a bit bigger. I have wide-set eyes and the tiny eye holes on other masks are my biggest gripe.

After taking it off, it did leave a sticky residue that hung around for a while. Usually the stickiness wears off in a couple of minutes but i still have tacky patches an hour later. That's not the end of the world though, some people like it! I've just always had an issue with having anything sticky on my hands or face, ever since I was a kid haha.

My skin is a lot shinier. I'm not sure if I would call it a glowy shine. It does look hydrated though, so I would say it meets that claim.

Overall, it's an ok mask. Scents are a very individual taste, so others might love it. It's quick, easy and does make your skin appear hydrated. This particular one might not be for me, but I would still be keen to try others in the range.

Loved using this product! I applied it one evening when I needed a bit of a boost, my skin was feeling dull and dry. I left it on a little longer than recommended (just between ad breaks!) and when I took it off my skin looked so much healthier and hydrated! The mask applied pretty easily, wasn’t too fiddly at all and it smelt fine.

Tried this mask after a particularly stressful working week, it was a lovely relaxing treat. I say relaxing, although I applied the mask and got to work on other jobs around the house, it stuck to my face extremely well...I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not! I struggled to peel the mask out of its packaging at first but once it was on it was lovely and silky and nourishing. It’s recommended to use this in the morning however I felt like my skin was left too sticky so was glad I used it as a nighttime treat. It smelt lovely and fruity, although not too much like Watermelon. I didn’t necessarily think that it plumped my skin but maybe this will be a gradual effect. Loved that it appears that Garner are looking more at their green beauty standards and actioning practices to better their impact on the environment.

The sheet of the mask itself was great quality nice and thick and didn’t rip while trying to remove from the package and unfold like some sheet masks do. It was nice and big to cover all of the areas of my face and had decent sized eye holes as sometimes I find they are too small and cover too much of my eye. It has a very fresh and mild scent that isn’t too overwhelming and quite pleasant. When I removed the mask My skin was slightly sticky from the hyaluronic acid. This went away after 10 minutes. There is a lot of product on the mask so I massaged excess product into my skin then lightly wiped off whatever was leftover. Sometimes hyaluronic acid can make the skin tingle slightly and have a little redness but this formula was mild and caused no reaction. My face was left feeling plumped and well moisturised. It's a lovely little mask for a quick little pick me up for your skin. I will be looking out for in the future to use again!

I was lucky enough to be picked by BR to review this product. The best thing about this mask is it only needs to be on for five minutes! It's easier to fit a mask in if I don't have 20-30 mins to sit around with it on like others I have used require. The mask smells really nice and isn't overly gooey. My skin did look brighter and more toned after using this mask. I like that the packaging isn't as big as other sheet masks. I do feel guilty using single use products that create waste so the smaller pack size helps. I will be purchasing this myself in future!

This mask really did make my skin feel different. It was so easy to use and left me with really soft skin and even felt a little tighter. Really do recommend using this and even with my sensitive skin there were no issues!

Unfortunately, I don't have a great review on this product. It goes on well, just like any other mask. It mentions on the packet that the serum might be slightly sticky and to just wipe the excess off with a cotton pad after removal of the mask.

However, that was an understatement. My face was so incredibly sticky, that even after I wiped it off with a cotton pad, my skin felt horrible. I ended up having to wipe my face thoroughly with micellar water to try and get rid of the serum.

If I'd noticed great benefits from the mask, I would use it again, despite the stickiness, but unfortunately, I didn't see or feel a difference in term of smoothing or plumping my skin.

I really hate giving negative reviews, but I would definitely not buy this again and if someone asked for my opinion, I would tell them to try something else.

As with all sheet masks, I kept this one in a fridge before using it as it feels so amazing when it’s chilled. I was really surprised by the way it felt, it wasn’t super messy to apply but I did notice that my skin was very soft and supple afterwards. As with all sheet masks, it was a bit messy getting it onto my face but overall I was pleasantly surprised and the price point won’t break the bank. Perfect for a girls night in!
