Eye Serum - With roller balls!

Didn't know too much abut this product, but was excited to try out a new eye product. Once I opened the product I was so excited to see it was a wand with 3 stainless steel balls (these are honestly the best for around the eyes!) The box is the nice vibrant L'Oreal purple and had all the instructions and information you need and need to know.

Simple and easy to use, just make sure you don't have too much serum on the wand as it may drip down your face. I do believe its starting to work and I do feel refresh after using it.

Tips: Keep in the fridge and use for a cooler and more refreshing use of it. But be carful using the balls as they give you a slight pinch if you go to fast.

Revitalift filler eye serum

I was excited to try this eye serum to see how it could reduce the dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. The packaging had very good directions for applying the serum with the beaded applicator. Although I did find the application time consuming compared to other serums I have used previously. The liquid gel spread easily and gave a soothing/cooling feel but it took a little while for it to absorb and left the eye area feeling somewhat tacky. Upon first use I noticed my eye area felt lifted and looked brighter, dark circles were less obvious. Once fully absorbed, makeup could be smoothly applied. Overall I did see great benefits from using this product for just a short time and look forward to seeing continued results. Due to the extra time required for the recommended application and the time it takes for the serum to absorb I am currently unsure if I will continue to buy this product. If the results continue to impress I'm sure I'll make extra time in my routine to accommodate the time needed.

Grass isn't greener

I really wanted to like this. I was excited as it sounded different with the ingredients and application. Let's start with the packaging. I had to read various times just to make sure I was using the applicator correctly as it just didn't feel right. The bottle looked great, the wand with three beads looked hi tech I was really hyped to try. Once I tried it I found it too dry on the wand. So I put more on to get a slip. The suggested movements under my eye area moved the skin around. I didn't like that I was doing this to the delicate eye area. I've always been gentle around here and only pat press with my ring finger. No matter how much was on the wand it still dragged my eye area. I gave up doing the suggested application and just pressed it on the area. I then followed further instructions and applied over lid and to the acupressure points. Once again this felt harsh on the eye area. With the amount of product I had to put on it dripped down my face and I had to resort to using my fingers. In the end as I wanted to keep using the product I applied with my fingers. This still left the eye area uncomfortable. It felt dehydrated and tight. Did I see any difference? No I don't think the time frame was enough time to see results. I actually think it made my eye area look more lined from dehydration. Very disappointed as I'm always wanting to try anything to help ageing around the eye area to slow down.

Tips: I got my 20 year old daughter to try. She found it easier to use. Perhaps it's great for youthfully eyes with firmness around their eyes.

Unimpressed

L'Oreal Paris revitalise filler eye serum. Unusual for an eye treatment, neither a cream or gel but liquid. Glass container is good because you can see how much product you have left. The applicator is odd, has 3 metal balls on the end that don't move so they don't actually massage your skin they just kind of rub the product on,and I found that I had to keep re-dipping it to get plenty of product on it or it would drag on my skin, and then I found it ran down my cheeks a bit after application, and went through a sticky phase for a while before drying. There was no scent that I could detect. I didn't have any allergic reaction to it which is good because I have dry, sensitive, fair skin. Unfortunately for me it didn't seem to make any difference, although in saying that I didn't have the full 2 weeks to test it as it arrived late,so maybe over time it may have done something. I wouldn't recommend this to a friend as it didn't do anything for me.

Pros I didn't have any allergic reaction to it,this is a bonus as I have sensitive skin.

Tips: Make sure you have plenty of product on the applicator or it will pull on your skin.

Not just for eyes

I was intrigued by this product and pleased to have been selected to trial it. It promised to help the fine lines around my eyes (yes please!) with the help of a cooling massage provided by the stainless steel balls in a flexible applicator. To be honest, I didn’t see much difference around the eyes, and didn’t especially enjoy the sensation of the product being applied that way. BUT….I also have lines appearing at the corners of my mouth, so a tried the product there and I swear I can see a difference after I’ve applied it. The lines are less noticeable although so far the effect doesn’t seem to last. The glass bottle still has a lot of product left so o will continue to use it up and then decide if I’d purchase again….but focusing on my lip area rather than my eyes.

Soothing with obvious results

I'm a big fan of the regular L'Oreal Hyaluronic Acid serum so I was really excited to try the specialised eye serum in the same range (with added caffeine). Like the regular Hyaluronic Acid serum, this one is super-hydrating and non-greasy. Also like the regular HA serum, it gives you visible results within a week or so. (Although when I say 'visible', it's probably just noticeable because I'm looking carefully - it's not cosmetic surgery after all). I loved the applicator, it made it so easy to massage the product into the skin around the eyes, and it did reduce the crepeyness under my eyes. Unfortunately it did zero for the dark circles but that could be because it's more hyper-pigmentation (probably hereditary) than dark circles due to tiredness etc. A little bit disappointed in that, but very happy with the plumpness and reduction in the very fine lines around my eyes (doesn't seem to have made a difference to the deeper lines but I'm not expecting miracles there!). A little goes a long way and I can see this bottle lasting for a couple of months with twice-daily use, so good value for money. It took a couple of days to get the application routine down without checking the instructions (massage small circles from inner eye to temple x4, swipe applicator over lids and then dot pressure points around the eyes (I'm assuming this is for drainage issues for under-eye bags?). Goes on easily under makeup too, which is a bonus (gotta cover those dark circles!). No obvious scent, which is great, and it's quite a pleasing consistency overall - not too thick but not too runny. Kind of like a very light gel. I've only been using it for 2 weeks so I'm keen to see what kind of results I get after finishing the bottle - I'm guessing quite a big improvement in elasticity and fine lines (and if it somehow also manages to lighten up those dark circles I'll be a fan for life!). Definitely a product worth trying. (FYI: I've tried several other HA serums since the L'Oreal one and none do the job quite like theirs does, so clearly they are at the forefront of this kind of research).

Tips: Take the time to massage the product in as directed - it really helps it to absorb into your skin. Wait a minute or two before applying your next product on top (particularly if you're putting on makeup).

Big tick !

I am the not so proud owner of very deep set eyes which make me look tired on a good day. Add four young kids and early morning / late evening training and you can imagine that my eyes carry more bags than Air New Zealand ! I was exceptionally excited to be chosen for this trial team and in particular was keen to check out the nifty looking wand to deliver the goodies inside. And it did NOT disappoint! In fact, it far exceeded my expectations. Firstly, I love love love the ingenious little wand with its three ball bearings. As you roll them around your eye socket, it feels deliciously cool and decadent and I could actually see a notable deduction in puffiness around my eyes in the morning. I also really appreciate that I didn’t need to use my fingers at all and that the wand delivers the right amount of serum so none is wasted. The serum is non fragranced which is a big plus for me in most skin care but especially around the eye. It feels very light and cool on the skin- a little tacky to start with as it settles but dries quickly and is unnoticeable under make up. The serum packs a punch with both hyaluronic acid and pure caffeine which work to fight fine lines. As mentioned I absolutely noticed a decrease in puffiness but also noticed the skin around my eyes looking firmer and brighter in tone. Sadly I did not notice a reduction in dark under eye skin but will continue to use the serum and see if prolonged use with make a difference.

Tips: I would recommend using this in the morning more than at night to really perk your skin up for the day.

Magic Balls

You know how the wand makes the mascara? I'm entirely convinced the wand of this serum would make any serum 100 times better!

Does it look like something you'd buy at Peaches and Cream? Yes, yes it does. But equally does it feel good? Yes, yes it does! I kind of want a bigger wand to apply my face serum, it just feels so nice!

This comes in the usual light purple packaging and looks like a mini Revitalift Filler Serum. L'Oreal have definitely nailed their packaging - it's classy and simple, but easy to tell which product range you're picking up.

The serum is very light, slightly thicker than water. I like it, it doesn't drip, doesn't run and doesn't irritate the eye area.

It's a joy to apply and the result have been fantastic. The eye area feels tighter, brighter and lighter! I am really happy with the results and will continue use because it just feels so darn good!

Filler Eye Serum

This product was love at first use!

The weird applicator is like nothing I've seen before. The metal balls massage the eye area and it just feels sooooo relaxing! The applicator picks up just the right amount of product too!

I really love the look of the bottle - it's a great quality glass bottle.

There's no fragrance or scent to the product, and my eyes thank L'Oreal for this! I hate scented eye products!

The serum is light and silky, it soaks into the skin and leaves it smooth and baby soft. I had no issues layering my day cream and BB cream over it, there was no balling or pilling.

I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I really love it. The caffiene definitely gives tired eyes a boost, and the hyaluronic acid plumps the fine lines. My eye area has never looked better!

It's amazing!

I'm huge fan of the Revitalift ranges and have enjoyed other products from the Filler line.

I love the purple bottle, it's in keeping with the range and is just the loveliest shade.

It's a 20ml bottle, which for an eye product is a great size, I'm used to them being around 15ml.

The wand is very 50 Shades of Grey haha it makes me smile every time. I love the feel of the metal balls (that's what she said!). I wish the whole wand was made of metal, the plastic 'bendy bit' in the middle does feel a little cheap.

This feels so cooling and fresh upon application. It does seem to take a while to absorb into the skin, so you will need to allow a few extra minutes in your routine.

The box promises 5 years younger in 2 weeks - hmmm, I'm not sure about that but I did agree my eye area looks bright, younger and refreshed.

I will continue to enjoy this and would look to repurchase when I run out!
