St Ives is a family favourite brand. My mum favoured all their body lotions. When I first saw this in the supermarket I was curious to try it. I'm always keen to try new products from this brand. I did eventually buy it after much thought about it.
This scrub comes in a white tube. On the outside of this tube is this the St Ives branding. The tube comes in a 170gram so theres plenty of product to use in it. The texture of this scrub is light and creamy. This scrub is white coloured. There are no scrubbing beads in it like the apricot one. The scent of this scrub is like fresh lemons and mandarins. I enjoyed this scent.
When I apply this I always wash my face first. I put a little bit on my chin for five minutes to test it and it was fine. After that I smother my face with this scrub normally after a long day of wearing make up. After cleaning it off my skin felt clean and fresh. I didn't experience any dryness with this. I got mine for about 6.99 on sale so I was lucky at the time. I think it's still priced at the right price for it. My bottle has lasted me five weeks and still counting. I enjoyed using this and I would use it again.
One of the most affordable and effective exfoliators I have used. I know a lot of people have used the St.Ives apricot exfoliating scrub and find it very harsh because of the bigger bits of the apricot kernel In it. This one isn't as harsh it has lots of finer pink and white exfoliator beads in it kinda like gentle sand. I do have very dry skin and I like a decent scrub to remove dry flakey bits from my face. To me this is mid range on the harsh factor also I don't have sensitive skin so can't comment on that. The tube it comes in is mcmassive! 150ml. The tube sits on the lid and there is no way it falls over easily because the lid is big and sturdy. It's easy to squeeze out and get the right amount out.
They aren't lying when they say it has pink lemon and mandarin orange in it. It would have more of a citrus hit than a Californian orange farm. Its an instant pick me up. I scrub this round my face in small circular motions (avoiding my peepers of course) and rinse it off with warm water and voilà .. Dry flakey skin is gone and instantly brighter skin I was a bit sceptical at first about it being brightening..I thought pfffft $11.99 for this big tube of exfoliator (from the supermarket) it can't brighten my skin and exfoliate. But it can and does. It lasted me for months I actually brought a rather expensive exfoliator after it ran out (it was $58 for 50ml) and it doesn't do half the job that this one does. This has to be one of my favourite skincare products it's so cheap and effective
